Very friendly service with mess and hassle free installation. Very impressed with the whole job

We had previously had a roller shutter door fitted by a different company which had broken/failed four times since being fitted, we were fed up with it and just wanted it replacing with a decent garage door that worked. We contacted a local company West Yorkshire Garage Doors and they were fantastic right from the start. Jane talked us through our options and what products were available. She answered all our questions and there were quite a few. She was brilliant. Spoke to Lyn in between and she was fab too. Tony arrived within the week and completed a thorough assessment of our requirements and talked everything through with my husband. A date was arranged and the two man crew arrived and fitted the new roller shutter door. They were efficient, professional and did an outstanding job. The door itself it’s fab, we got the 77 excel roller shutter door. It’s well made, sturdy and all the parts that matter are all made from steel / metal, no plastic bits. The slats are thick & strong and it works a treat. We just wish we had gone to West Yorkshire Garage Doors in the first instance.

My garage looks like a new one, can’t believe the difference in appearance. I got my shed roof done to match at the same time, looks great. Wonderful attention to detail, informed me to what they were doing and why. Very courteous and polite to deal with, would highly recommend them.

I contacted WYGD’s in early July 2022, as I have used them previously to replace my roller shutter door in 2015. The door was slow and juddering, so the company arranged for an engineer to visit on 6 July. He identified it as a faulty motor and a new one was required. I accepted the quotation and the same engineer returned to install the new motor, which was recommended by the manufacturer of the new door in 2015. The motor wouldn’t fit as different collars were required. These were ordered and the installation was completed on 20 July. The motor was more powerful and faster RPM’s. On the 22 July the door came out of the side runners and the engineer was called again. He reset the auto stops and all working OK.
On the 5 October the door was catching on the mechanism holding the roller and a stopper designed to keep the slats in place was sheared off, which allowed the first key slat to move horizontally and catch on the mechanism.
On the 3 November a Senior Engineer was sent to rectify the problem and a self-tapping screw was inserted, in place of the stopper. So far it has resolved the problem, and the door is working OK.
The staff at WYGD’s have all been very helpful and obliging and have responded to my requests in a timely manner. The period of four months to resolve the overall problem wasn’t ideal.
I hope the door and motor lasts for the same period as the original, 24 years.

Although away from home, the refit of the garage went smoothly.
By the time I got home, the site was clear, and property left secure.

Everything went exactly to plan, very friendly and knoweldgeable and new roller door is exactly what we wanted. They even went the extra mile and put an infrared controller in by the internal garage door since that was where we had one for the previous garage door, with no extra charge.

Very quick and extremely polite, always happy to explain any questions we had. Fitting team are professional and left site clean and tidy.
