I recently hired a car through VWFS Rent-a-Car Birmingham. In terms of the vehicle, pricing, and overall rental process, everything was excellent — no issues at all. The car was in great condition, the price was fair, and the booking system was straightforward.

However, my experience was let down by the staff’s unprofessional attitude. I had booked the car for 8:30 AM and arrived on time, but there was no one present from the rental department. The VW showroom staff didn’t acknowledge us, and when I asked at reception, I was told the rental team was from a different company and not in the office yet. After waiting around 20 minutes, the VWFS staff member eventually arrived. When I mentioned that I had booked for 8:30 and it was now 8:50, instead of acknowledging the delay, he defensively replied that due to paperwork, I wouldn’t have been able to take the car before 9 AM anyway. I found this response dismissive and unprofessional.

Overall, while the car and rental service itself were excellent, the customer service experience could be improved. A little more professionalism, punctuality, and acknowledgement of customer concerns would make the service truly outstanding.

Thoroughly satisfied. Good rate, no hidden charges. Good and easy communications , with Raheel and Chelsea specifically. Will definitely rent again if needed .

I attended the branch to return a hire vehicle, and during this interaction, Mr. Hafeez was noticeably rude and unprofessional. He made an inappropriate remark suggesting that the car had a “funny smell” which was due to it not been cleaned prior to being handed over to me and that i would not be able to rent in the future due to something which is no fault of mine, This comment was uncalled for, especially as the smell was present before I had taken the vehicle. Rather than resolving the matter courteously, his tone and attitude made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing.

As a customer, I expected a higher standard of professionalism and basic courtesy from them.

I needed to rent a car last minute due to having my alloys refurbished and being told I couldn’t drive my own car for 24 hours. Naturally, I was a little nervous about the whole process, especially with it being such short notice. But from the moment I contacted VW Rent a Car Birmingham, the experience was smooth and reassuring – thanks entirely to Raheel, the manager.

Raheel truly took the time to listen to my concerns and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. He found me a car that closely matched the spec and feel of my own Audi, which was incredibly thoughtful and made the transition effortless. I was given a Golf R-Line – an automatic, but with a very similar driving feel to my Audi – which made it not only easy to drive but also really enjoyable.

The car itself was immaculate, both inside and out. It genuinely felt like stepping into a brand-new vehicle, which gave me added confidence during the rental period. Booking was fast, easy, and efficient, and the whole process was handled professionally from start to finish.

From day 1 chatting to Yasir about the car and the hole lease its been great collected the car yasir was great explained everything clearly the car was clean when collected will definately be using them again as and when need a car.

I don't normally leave reviews but this company stood out for me! I had a phenominal experience using vwfs rent a car birmingham on the 27th may 2025. I booked a vw arteon for a few days and recieved exceptional service from Raheel from start to finish. His level of customer service, mannerisms and technical knowledge really stood out for me and would highly recommend everyone to try it out!
The vehicle was spotless and clean inside with no odors which is always a plus side when it comes to renting cars.
Just wanted to say a special thank you to Raheel for the top service, i will definately be back!
