I purchased a 50 inch Vizio smart TV at Walmart the first week in April 2025 - took it home - set it Up - connected it to my internet WiFi - turned it on to see on the home screen an advertisement from an injury lawyers' firm along with some "apps" for services to which I am subscribed and some "free" content from Vizio. The advertisements in the free content are reasonable but the lawyers' ad on the home page is not. I should not have to pay Vizio for them to get advertising revenue from a law firm and I should not have to see those ads on the home screen.

Purchased a vizio 55 inch tv about a week ago. Very disappointed in the set. Randomly resets for no apparent reason. This happens during live tv , movies and video games. Would not recommend this brand.

The TV seems incapable of turning on and prioritizing the console or streaming device inputs, but always prioritizes their stupid "smart" hub. And now after 5 years the remote stopped working for seemingly no reason (it was fine 4 hours ago).
Worst TV ever
Worst TV ever. Not even 4 months old. Already running slow and having issues connecting to the Internet. The home screen is nothing but advertising. The apps you load on there are put on a really small bar, while all the advertising is huge... I will never buy another Vizio product. Extremely unhappy and Vizio won't do anything about it. FK VIZIO!!!
VIZIO'S WATCHFREE APP IS GARBAGE!!!..
WATCHFREE... A PIECE OF CRAP APPLICATION...
Previously, I was a huge Vizio customer... until they forced me to download the "Watchfree" app.
The app IMMEDIATELY took control of my TV, (even reconfigured my input setting by renaming my existing (HDMI Port) to (Vizio HDMI) and from that point the bandwidth robbing, low tech "Watchfree" app moved itself to the default app at start up. It is prompting me to sign in to all my previous apps that before worked fine.
I called Vizio tech support to find out how to remove their app, and their answer to me was; "There is no way to remove their app... as it was embedded in the televisions software... (REMEMBER THE COMPONENTS ARE MANUFACTURED IN CHINA) ... could China be watching 80 million of Vizio's Customers?
So now I am stuck with a POS app that controls my TV viewing experience. I'm sure that the application's aggressive takeover of my TV was their intention!
My thoughts are that Vizio's buggy "Watchfree" app didn't have the technological savvy that their competitors had so they forced their weak "Watchfree' app on their customers! Look at all the negative reviews on the internet for Vizio’s “Watchfree” App.
My TV remote would not even work after the "Watchfree" app forced itself on my TV. I have a fairly new Vizio top of the line TV, and I'm ready to unplug it and take it outside and hit it with a sledgehammer... I'm totally serious!

I had brought a Vizio sound bar last year. Contacted Vizio about it said they would refund me my money and such. But I had to return this sound bar. They called me today now keep in mind they didn’t ask me for any of my information just the serial number of the product proof of purchase and that was it I sent all that in last week and today I got a phone call saying that there’s nothing they can do for me because they want a credit card of mine to put on hold until they get this product back, I told them today on the phone just send me a box with the shipping label so I can box it and ship it and they told me they cannot do that They want me to put a credit card on hold until they got this one back. They are not willing to work with me on me actually shipping this broken sound bar back first and then having them ship me a new one or refunding me my money I will never ever ever buy another Vizio product again as a customer service is Bullshit. I won’t even recommend my worst enemy to buying a VIZIO product buyers beware the sound bar is less than a year old and went out. So money wasted on this junk.
Vizio--the 5 year TV
Bought a Vizio 55" TV 5 years ago, and the picture and sound went out yesterday. Called Vizio and they said yeah, too bad you didn't purchase an extended warranty. Nothing we can do. Great customer service, expecting the owner to have to spend more money for a product that ought to last twice as long.

Own 2 Vizio products, but never again. 1st their TV's menu takes FOREVER to navigate, feels like a 1980s computer and I'm not even kidding. The picure fades more each month. You can't even download new apps! This is in 2025!
The Soundbar costs nearly $1,000 and initially it was really very good, including Dolby Atmos. Loved it! Until the input just suddenly stopped working! For no reason. There are countless forums on reddit, etc dedicated to this exact issue.

So about a month ago I bought a vizio 65 in from Walmart about three days later I noticed the tv wouldn't power up it kept saying restar your tv or something like that. So I rushed out to the trash and gathered all the packaging so I could return it. I did exactly that I returned it for another one(same model) well I've had this one for about a month and now it's doing the exact same thing, but this time the garbage mam got to the box before I could retrieve it. So now I'm stuck with a tv I just bought that won't turn on. This is absolutely ridiculous because now I'm stuck with a tv that doesn't work and I can't take it back because I don't have the box, seriously who's going to keep ahold of a 65 in tv box laying around. If vizio made a reliable product I wouldn't be in this situation. I will forever bad mouth vizio for this one. I'm actually going to go to Walmart and put post it notes on all of their tv's letting other buyers awear of what they have to look forward to if they buy these products.

I hesitate to even give this TV one star. I bought the 65 inch vizio TV, and have no kids, so the TV is not used other than when I use it. I watch TV about 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day and the screen gave out on me today. Out of absolutely nowhere a white line appeared at the bottom of the screen while the entire screen fades every four seconds before the 2 year mark even came around. I purchased this TV brand new, And was essentially told by vizio support “Too bad, bad luck,” When I called to check If the company gives warranties for defective TVs. Additionally, you seemingly cannot watch TV on a Vizio unless you have Internet. There are also many TV applications Vizio does not have that every other brand generally does. If you want a television that is all but guaranteed to go out within two years or less, buy this one. I am switching back to Roku.
