It's over a year since I ordered some plants and I'm still waiting for them to arrive. I get sporadic emails postponing delivery with a link to check/change my orders but it's broken.

Iris Metallic Mix
Ordered Iris Metallic Mix from their Groupon advert. The plants have turned out to be nothing like the mix of sumptuous shades shown in their photos (just yellow and blue). They are nice flowers but these ordinary colours could have been bought much cheaper from places like Wilko. However, after sending photos, van Meuven sent an immediate refund and apology so 5 stars for customer care, 3 stars for plants = 4 stars overall!

No plants delivered no refund appalling company avoid the order was cancelled and I have sent loads of emails and just been ignored thank goodness I paid with pay pal so I will eventually get my money back

Lucky red magnolia trees
I ordered 2 lucky red standard magnolia trees from Van Meuwen. I planted them as per instructions and was hoping they would begin to show some signs of life. Unfortunately they are still looking like twings. I am unsure as to what to expect. The twigs had a couple of buds, on arrival but these are still the same size they were about a month ago. Im not sure if the plant arrived dead? As there has been no signs of life.

I am sorry to hear of your concerns however, the magnolia does tend to be slow growing and could still getting use to its new soundings. It would be worth, if not already done so, giving it a top up with some Ericaceous compost or some Ericaceous feed.
If you are in any doubt, we would advise to gently scrape back a little of the stem. If this shows a green-tinged then the tree is alive. Should this be difficult to do, or the underneath appears to be brownish then it is likely that the tree has died. Please then do get back in touch and we will advise of what we can do for you. Tomato plants DOA
Tomato plants dispatched on Thursday, with bank holiday Monday approaching. They were in transit for 7 days. Of course they were DOA...
Also no way to leave the review on the company's actual website? There is a big Review section with them saying they post all reviews, even the negative ones. The problem is, there is actually no way to write one. Should have checked before buying, didn't realise the last review for the product was from 5 years ago.

Extremely disappointed with the service…
Extremely disappointed with the service of this company. Two orders still not delivered (tracking shows at royal mail center since 21/04/2023). Then 26/04/2023, received email from customer services saying order has been replaced. Today 02/05/2023, still nothing. Definitely will not be ordering from you again. Terrible service.

Good quality baby plants and great service.
I recently ordered one of their mixed perennials selection in 9cm pots and, if I'm honest, I wasn't expecting much given the price.
However, I've been pleasantly surprised and I'm really impressed with what I received. The plants arrived superfast and we're well packaged. Although they were quite small, they were all in perfect condition and I couldn't have picked healthier ones myself.
As they were a random selection, they might be quite hard to fit into an existing planting scheme. I was planting up a new area, so not knowing beforehand what I would be getting was quite exciting.

Absolute con bought several citrus trees and their was they would bear fruit in following year. Never happened.

The website experience was subpar
The website experience was subpar.
Simple things like
- checking out is overrun with “offers” long before you can see a total.
- putting my address in once (twice?) then having to do it again at checkout.
- can’t join the gardening club on either payment option. Error 508.
- prevented from claiming Club discount of 10%
- Upon logging in after sale was completed, both payment options work.
Tried another page some where, but cannot remember, and it failed to load. Error 404.
Incredibly outdated and slow to load, not reader-friendly.

Wrong bulbs sent
At the end of July I bought several packs of spring flowering bulbs- white magic mixed white daffs, Thalia miniature multihead white daffs and tulips. They have all come up bright yellow! Yuk. Money back on first lot that came up then had to ask repeatedly for a refund on second lot. Been completely ignored re tulips. I could phone again but it’s a premium number. I’ve lost a whole season of flowers and had to get help to dig them all up. Waste of time and money and very upsetting

Had several concerns after reading reviews having already placed an order recently-therefor pleasantly surprised to receive excellent customer service when my husband rang the company twice to chase an Easter delivery-parcel of two beautifully healthy trees have now arrived and are decorated ready for Easter weekend - thank you Van Meuwen Suberb outcome !

Very poor quality bare rooted My Castle…
Very poor quality bare rooted My Castle lupins.Very small and terrible condition .Although potted up and put in greenhouse with great care, none survived !
Reported to company ,but only sent instructions as how to plant.Request a full refund and will not order from you again.

I been with van mewvan from more then 10 yearsyears and…
I been with van mewvan from years and if I get any damaged plants or wrong order, Just call the customer service and solve it in mins.
I have made 3 orders so far and received the beautiful 3 roses, now I'm waiting for the other plants for the summer.

No refund after cancellation of order
I placed an order for Dicksonia Antarctica in February costing £84.99 via PayPal. After 2 delays to delivery I finally received notification that delivery was delayed until July 2023. In September I decided to cancel the order. I received a prompt, same day reply saying that the amount would be refunded via PayPal. I have never received the refund.
I have followed up to query this and received no response.
I have complained again today and raised the issue with PayPal but, although I have previously used this company, I will not be doing so again. Total loss of confidence in them.
Shows a lack of desire to communicate with the customer.
Run by Branded Garden Products.
Following the reply from Van Meuwen I would further add that the one star is related to the difficulty I had getting my money refunded. You thought it had been and I was telling you I had not received it. The first message I sent about this was ignored completely. Anyone can make a mistake but ignoring a customer's difficulty is where you lost me.
The second message I sent was replied to but simply stated that I had been refunded. Only on my third attempt did I get a response agreeing that you had made a mistake. The money has now been refunded although minus the 5% discount I had on the item. This ignores the fact that I paid for an additional root treatment for the plant that I never received and quite frankly, you should have been offering me compensation for all the hours I had spend scouring my accounts to ensure that I had not missed this refund somehow.
So - you have lost a customer. Plenty of other reliable companies out there.

Great all year round plant offers amazing garden membership vouchers
I have placed several orders this year and very happy with easy website ordering, great email offers, variety of plants and great offers, good packaging and delivery times and communication if delayed.
I recommend joining the garden club the vouchers are great and only £10 for year I saved more on first order. Superb collection of plants Korean fir, Atlantis sedum, mahonia, eucalyptus, fuschias, also great seed selection.
