Absolutely awful. My clients had terrible difficulty downloading images so I had to create more and more links with smaller and smaller files. Then, I got a notification from a client, not from Tresorit, that I had reached my sharing limit?? I was no where near capacity on the service that I paid for ( 1 yr in advance ). Only then did I discover that I was only allowed a certain number of links. The upload speed is horrendously slow btw. So my client could not download the files that they needed. Tresorit came back with - I could wait until the following month for my client to download or I could upgrade to get some more links. This was really unfair, because I was totaly unaware of the link limit, and I was only over the link limit because of the problems I was having. Tresorit CS is also horrible. So with 11 months to go I asked for them to close my account and give me a refund. This they have refused to do on the basis that they offered a 7 day money back guarantee. I will not touch the service again and they will be charging me for 11 months service that is no use to me at all.

About two months ago we replaced Sync.com with Tresorit, and it honestly feels like we finally got our business back.

Tresorit clearly prioritizes security architecture, reliability, and professional-grade workflows. Once you spend a little time understanding the logic behind how their system operates, the design choices start to make sense and you realize they’re following what most security professionals would consider best practice.

Their zero-knowledge encryption model means the provider cannot read your files, which is exactly what you want when you're responsible for confidential client documents. At the same time, the platform is stable and syncing behaves consistently and predictably, which was a constant struggle for us previously.

It’s rare to find a system that both raises the security standard and improves day-to-day usability, but that’s exactly what we experienced after switching.

For any business handling sensitive information, Tresorit has proven to be a serious upgrade.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. It was reliable and did exactly what I needed at the time. If anything just a bit slow if I recall, but not enough to make an impact

I'm a very practical guy. If the cost is top dollar, I have top dollar expectations (especially when it comes to my company). Nothing could've prepared my team and I for the absolute garbage experience we faced. Especially with how mechanical and soulless their support team was. I rarely ever ask for a manager because I try to work with people. But in this case, we obviously needed the tool to be working so it doesn't limit my business and the first customer support person was just copy and pasting the same response (literally the same thing word for word), even while I'm hear sharing screenshots, explaining further, everything....... Now the manager - even worse. She sent the same script via email with just the top paragraph modified to introduce herself. I've never seen such crappy customer service (especially from Switzerland) and with Tresorit being a big company of theirs, that's a bad representation of the Swiss people. I'm not shocked that Tresorit's overall review rating is so horrendous. It's what their customer support team worked for. They simply couldn't care less. I'm happy this happened because after much research, we gave Sync.com a try and realized it was far superior and more affordable. 🧠PRO TIP: Take it from me and run away from Tresorit.

Nicht Bösartig, aber auch nicht gut. Schlechte Benutzeroberfläche und schleichende Ladezeiten. Bin weg.

I’ve been using Tresorit for 8 years for cloud backup, and it’s been super reliable. Everything works perfectly, and it’s really secure. The only downside is that they only accept PayPal and credit cards, no crypto, which is a bummer. But honestly, no other service even comes close to Tresorit, so I’m sticking with it. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s definitely worth it.

I don’t advise Tresorit .

I bought for 142 euro a subscription.
I downloaded and could not get access both with my computer nor with my phone to the downloaded app.
Support from Tresorit tried for 2 months to give solution, however, they did not succeed and said an update is coming soon.
I ask to refund my 142 euro, they refused because money back is within 8 days, I said it never worked, they refused again to refund.
I advise do not pay any amount to TRESORIT, because you don’t get refund if it is not working.

Der Kundenservice bei Tresorit lässt auf ganzer Linie zu wünschen übrig. Bei Problemen und Fragen fühlt man sich völlig im Stich gelassen, was die Nutzung des Dienstes extrem frustrierend macht.
Bilderspeicherung - Unbrauchbar
Die Vorschau-Funktion für Bilder ist ein Totalausfall. Die Vorschaubilder sind so klein, dass sie praktisch unbrauchbar sind. Dies macht die Bildverwaltung und -suche zu einer mühsamen Angelegenheit.

Performance-Probleme

Der Cloud-Dienst belastet die CPU des Computers stark. Selbst bei einfachen Synchronisationsaufgaben läuft der Prozessor permanent am Anschlag, was die Systemleistung massiv beeinträchtigt.

Upload-Probleme

Der Upload-Prozess ist eine Katastrophe:

Extrem langsame Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten
Häufig unvollständige Dateiübertragungen
Zuverlässigkeit gleich Null

Nicht empfehlenswert!

Tresorit erfüllt nicht einmal Grundanforderungen an einen modernen Cloud-Speicherdienst. Wer Wert auf Zuverlässigkeit, Performance und Benutzerfreundlichkeit legt, sollte diesen Dienst definitiv meiden.

I've just finished evaluating Tresorit as a EU-based possibility for our business to replace Dropbox. Unfortunately, we'll be opting for another provider.

In my two-week experience, we found Tesorit's documentation to be lacking. Critical information is missing about terminoloigy and differences in how Tesorit works, particularly ecompared to more familiar cloud-storage systems like Dropbox.

Tresorit give little in the way of information or alerts about files that fail to upload or sync. Unless I ran a diff script and closely examined the directory structure I uploaded for testing, I would not have discovered the many files that simply did not upload.

As others have pointed out, Tresorit is slow, both for up- and download. A related annoyance is that, when clicking on a discloure arrow (aka "twistie") inside the Tresorit folder in Mac's Finder, the folder contents don't appear unless you fully open the folder by double-clicking. This makes efficient visual scanning impossible, since without double-clicking (and then waiting) on each folder, they appear empty.

On the other hand, Tresorit looks attractive and does much right. The document scanning function in the iPhone app is great. The ability to search natively with Spotlight or in Finder is appreciated. (Not the case with many other cloud storage services.) Also, Tresorit uses file stubs locally to conserve space.

Although I haven't experienced it myself, I've read several comments here and elsewhere about indifferent customer service. I've experienced that with other vendors and don't wish to repeat the experience, especially at a critical moment.

Unfortunately, the negatives seem to outweigh positivies. Conclusion: after my two weeks I simply don't have enough confidence in Tresorit to entrust it with our files.

Service nicht zu gebrauchen. Alle Einstellungen sind von der Eröffnungspartei korrekt vorgenommen worden und dennoch ist ein kollaborativer Dokumenten-Austausch nicht möglich. Der Support schreibt um 4 Uhr Morgens eine Antwort und ist tagsüber für weiteren Support für die Lösungsfindung nicht erreichbar.
Offenbar gehört der Dienst zur Post. Schade, Post und SBB bekommen digitale Services nicht zum Funktionieren. Wacht auf, die Kunden sind im 2025 vermehrt sensibilisiert auf Qualität und funktionierende Prozesse!

Bei diesem schmutzverein ist es nicht möglich ein Abo abzuschließen sobald man alle Daten angegeben hat und seine Kreditkartendaten kommt eine Mitteilung es ist ein Fehler aufgetreten und man soll sich an Support wenden für mich ist es ein kriminelles und extrem unseriöses Verhalten erst die Kreditkartendaten abzugreifen und dann die Bestellung nicht auszuführen ganz klare nicht Empfehlung

Tresorit war nicht nutzbar. Beim Einloggen gab es immer wieder den Hinweis das meine IP-Adresse nicht zulässig ist bzw. nicht akzeptiert wird. Ich soll mich an meinen Administrator wenden. Nun ich bin das wohl selber und habe keine Änderungen an meinem Laptop vorgenommen. Also macht es keinen Sinn Selbstgespräche zu führen.

Trotz mehrmaliger Bitte um Unterstützung gab immer wieder nur Verweise auf Supportseiten im Internet und dass ich mich über das Internet bei Tresorit einloggen soll. Ein Scherz? Ich konnte mich ja nicht einloggen.
Private Unterstützung gab mir nach wenigen Minuten den Hinweis, dass das Problem nicht bei meinem Laptop oder mir liegt, sondern bei Tresorit. Das ist peinlich. Eine entsprechende Mail an Tresorit wurde im sachlichen Ton verfasst und tatsächlich war das Problem dann ca. einen Tag später gelöst. Wer erwartet, dass es zu einer kurzen Entschuldigung kam wird an dieser Stelle enttäuscht.

Tresorit verursacht nicht nur eine extrem hohe CPU-Auslastung, sondern auch massive Peaks (bis zu 650 % auf einem M2-Prozessor am Mac). Über den Prozess fileproviderd wurde mein Computer zeitweise minutenlang blockiert, da dieser Prozess dauerhaft auf 100 % lief. Zwei andere File-Sync-Services liefen parallel, jedoch ohne eine wahrnehmbare CPU-Last zu verursachen. Es ist unklar, was Tresorit auf meinem Computer tat, und der Support konnte mir trotz monatelanger Kommunikation und zahlreicher Übermittlungen von Debugging-Informationen weder eine Erklärung noch eine Lösung bieten. Die Probleme traten auf zwei verschiedenen Computern mit unterschiedlicher Architektur auf, sodass es nicht am Gerät liegen konnte.

Ich war mehrere Jahre Kunde und kündigte schließlich den Service, als ich herausfand, dass Tresorit die Ursache für die Probleme war und der Support keine Lösung anbieten konnte. So habe ich jahrelang nicht nur für eine offensichtlich mangelhafte Software bezahlt, sondern auch viel Zeit in monatelangen Austausch mit dem Support investiert. Inzwischen bin ich ein zufriedener Nutzer eines anderen Services.

Tried uploading files three times, gave a fatal error - don't waste time and use some other service provider.

I was denied a refund when I canceled their free trial the day of the cancelation.

Sehr schlechter Service: Hätte gerade jetzt um 13.30 Uhr ein Zoom-Meeting, aber der Host loggt sich nicht ein, obwohl der Termin von ihm vorgeschlagen und per E-Mail bestätigt worden ist.
Werde das Abo künden, rechtliche Schritte sind wahrscheinlich nötig, um an das Geld zu kommen. Tresorit im Support Fall nicht zu empfehlen.

It’s quite pricey but I like their features. No need to shift your files, you can turn any folder into the cloud. Sharing and security options are also good.
