Shame, used to be a great website, easy to find spare parts.

do not order this car had nothing but trouble with it period they sold me a car that has faulty parts and does not run I will not be ordering from here again

Tower does not care about their customers anymore! Their coupons do not work, the birthday coupon does not work, their phones are shut off most of the time. Once and a while you can get through, but are put on hold. No one ever answers.

I have been telling them by email for more than a month now that they have me blocked and to look at my account, NO Response from them, other than one that said to call another number, which also does not work!
Tower Hobbies has went from number one to total LOOSERS!

I am surprised to see the 2.5 stars with Tower Hobbies. I have been ordering plastic models from this site for just over a year now, and they never failed my orders. I joined as a "premium" member for $10 a year, and all my orders shipped free. I have also used their "premium" member coupons to get another 20% or so off already 20% off Tamiya plastic models, and that's the best prices I have seen online. I have been building Tamiya models for almost 60 years, and I know the prices! Another good thing about Tower Hobbies is when an item is in back-order, they never charge it until they ship, and I still get the coupon-discounted price that I was promised when I ordered. Well, I am old and have patience; I ordered a Tamiya 1/350 USS Missouri (Mighty Mo) last June, and I finally got it last week ... 8 months later ... with a price 20% less that anywhere I looked! BTW, this one goes to my 9-year old grandson, and his name is Momo.

I should have read the reviews on this company before I placed an order I would never have made an order with. Placed an order with them and they gave No phone call. No follow up email. No confirmation no order number no tracking number it's been almost a week since I ordered.The order is just sat in limbo. Called an emailed too many times to count still have not received any confirmation.

Shipping problem have been a 3 year problem for me, when product is damaged or of poor quality, they have done nothing for me, NOTHING. Damage on product they say" we will take care of it" they have not , EVER. So after 5 years i now order things i can afford to toss in trash. More to my local hobby shops and we have only 3 in Detroit and they are 20 miles away. I would post pic of a many planes, left in the rain for hours by their shipping company they use, and do nothing to help make sure the product arrives in good condition. I have talked to them till im blue in the face and no respect for my 5 to 6 k i have spent there. And stop catalogs. Im done

I have been fair disappointed with the services lately. I placed an order on Monday. I have yet to receive an email about my purchase going through or any information on when it will be shipped out. I called customer service and they informed me that everything looked good they are just waiting on it to process and it would ship this afternoon. That has yet to happen. Hansell Vonier

Love products husband had fun puting kit together was tougher then other places we get. Good qualityreceived quickly but be careful with Easy pay. They take 2nd payment out (30 days after first) and 3rd 4 days after after 2nd not 60 days from first payment. They said it can happen and they reserve the right to in fine print nothing they can do.

I've been a Tower Hobbies customer for just over a year. I have been impressed with their products and their ability to ship most items the same day they are ordered--provided they are ordered in the morning. Their products have always arrived on time or before. I have spent at least $2,000 with them and all products were received in working order. I only had one issue with a part (that came with a charger), and they replaced the defective item at no cost.

Their customer service and product support is good, however wait times on the phone contacting them are excessive--at times, over an hour. Recently, they put up a new website that now permits customers to chat online with their representatives. I used it today and it proved much better than waiting on hold. Hopefully, this will increase their ability to provide timely customer and product support.

Their new website has been up for a few weeks and is a disaster, Accordingly, it is in need of urgent attention. The site lacks virtually any product reviews, and product information on smaller cost items is sparse. In addition, much of information regarding purchase history has yet to be migrated. Lastly, the ability to make payments on purchases over time through Affirm or "EasyPay" is currently not available. I trust that they will get these issues corrected.

Excellent customer service, Love there product, and I've never ever been disappointed with them.

I placed an international order 12/05/2019, it shipped on December 6th it's been over a month and I am still waiting on my order. Have called Tower Hobbies, have sent emails and their customer service is lousy. My package was supposed to arrive from 7 to 14 days, now I do not want it and cannot process a claim or ask for a refund until the package arrives. Then I have to send it back if I want my money back!! Is my last time buying from them!

Ordered a nce dcc starter set, received product product didn't work . Called customer service they sent me a return label . Sent it back on dec 23 2019. A week later I called customer service and even though it showed it had been delivered back to them they told me it would take 5-10 days to receive my refund. Well as of 4 Jan 2020, still no refund hope it was worth it .

SCAMMED BY TOWER HOBBIES! READ BEFORE BUY IT
DO NOT BUY! VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE with Tower Hobbies. I've placed an order on Dec. 10, 2019. The day after, on Dec. 11, 2019, I've called in to verify that my order was shipped, but it wasn't. I've called again on Dec. 12, 2019 asking again if the order was shipped, and they guaranteed me that the order was going to be shipped out by the end of the day.

I've paid $56 extra to ensure a faster delivery option. I was going to opt for the even faster shipment method paying over $150 in shipping cost, but the Tower Hobbies operator at the phone confirmed to me that the PRIORITY SHIPPING was going to take about 7 days to be delivered. So, I've followed his recommendation.

After 16 days, I still didn't receive the package. I've asked several times a reimbursement for the extra $56 paid, but until now this request has been denied. I've filed a claim to the United States Federal Trade Commission trying to recover at least my $56.

My son is a Science geek and loves to read about space. So I gifted him a Estes Tandem-X Rocket from this site. He is absolutely in love with this product. I will definitely come here again to buy more! Amazing service.

Ordered $500 worth of stuff and qualified for free shipping, “sweet!” I thought. 3 days after ordering I received a Fed Ex tracking number via email. A week passes and the stated deliver by date comes and goes. Check Fed Ex tracking number again, now there is a nice message that USPS will be delivering my order. It still isn’t here two weeks after initial order date. Hell I ordered some hop ups through RC Mart the same day as I made my Tower Hobby order and that arrived 5 days later, from China!! First and last order from TH, hopefully my kids present makes it here before her birthday.

Update: package arrived day before my kids B-day so I’m going to add another star, everything was nicely packed in the box. I would order again but not something that I need sooner than later. I’m not expecting overnight shipping but a reasonable expectation in this day and age is to have the box at your door within a week of paying for it.

Placed an order with them and they have trouble with processing a Mastercard payment. No phone call. No follow up email. The order just sat in limbo. It was paid for through paypal backed by Mastercard. I never ever had a problem with Tower until Horizon took over. I now have trouble with payments through Paypal with Tower and Horizon. I should say HAD because I am done with them.
Another note for Canadians. They show shipping by postal/parcel when placing the order but when it is being processed they show UPS. We pay minimum handling fees through the post office but we get ripped off on fees from UPS so this is very disappointing.

Also free shipping in the USA to members but $shipping minus a 9.99 credit for Canadians just so they can advertise that you will get your money's worth as a member.

Horrible customer service that lies, and tries to just run around in circles. Payed for priority shipping, usps said 4 days delivery time after item shipped (priority is 1-3) ordered elsewhere same day and products will be here sooner with the same priority shipping from further away! Oh and the website looks like something out of the late 90s

5 stars but due to limits on product stock/availablity vs other sites like ebay makes me want to give a 4... Service,shipping,pricing overall however makes it definitely worth while shopping here! Multiple time purchaser of tower hobbies. Payment plan options are really helpful for people on low budget that can only handle a montly single payment.

Several years ago they were the best, now they are the worst.
This company kept me waiting for a Kaos 60 airplane for 18 months and still doesn't have it.
They say it will be available for mid March, exactly the same thing they said on December 2017

They use to be pretty good but now they have gone down hill. I bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff of them in the past 6 years.They treated me like crape. There is not much you can do with there discount codes now.Now they won't even honor there own discount codes.I had a Team Associated B6.1 on back order for over 2 months.Back when I ordered it I had a $45.00 discount code I used on my order.Now just a few days before the kits in stock.The B6.1 kit states will not accept any discount codes.Back when I ordered this kit the you could use discount codes on any Team Associated product.I called Tower they would not honor there own discount code on my pre-order and Tower would not ever give me a credit for another item.Tower told me to call Team Associated.Team Associated said that Tower should have honored there own discount code since it was available during the time when I ordered the kit over the phone.Team Associated said that that was something Tower just decided to do and they were jut trying to pas the blame off on them for not giving the discount.I placed my order over the phone with Tower and they promised me I would get $45.00 off on that kit.I canceled my order with them.I pre-ordered the kit with A-main Hobbies.At least I got store credit with A-main Hobbies and they honor all there dicounts and work with there customers.Tower lost my business.
