I feel compelled to leave this review to warn other potential customers about my experience with this dealership.

I purchased this vehicle in good faith, trusting the dealership to sell a car that had been properly inspected, was safe to drive, and matched the standard that was advertised. Unfortunately, my experience since purchase has been extremely distressing.

Shortly after taking ownership, multiple serious issues became apparent — both cosmetic and mechanical. These are not minor wear-and-tear issues that would be expected with a used vehicle; these are significant faults that, in my view, should reasonably have been identified before the car was sold.

What has made this even more frustrating is that attempts to “rectify” some of the issues have actually left the vehicle in a worse cosmetic condition than before. Rather than properly repairing the problems, work carried out has caused further damage and deterioration to the vehicle’s appearance. I have been left with a car that looks worse than when I first raised my concerns.

Independent repair quotes have confirmed the scale of the issues. I have been quoted just over £1,700 just to correct the cosmetic problems alone, including replacing the incorrect grille with the correct one, replacing the visor, and carrying out a full bonnet respray. This figure does not even include the further work required for the water pump having a significant leak, scraping noise, wheel trim issues, and other outstanding faults that still need to be addressed.

What is most concerning is that several of these faults are of a nature that raises serious questions about the inspection and preparation process prior to sale. Based on the condition of the vehicle, it is difficult to understand how these issues were not identified before being handed over to a customer.

This situation is made even more serious by my personal circumstances. I am not simply transporting myself — I am regularly putting my disabled child into this vehicle. When purchasing a car, safety and reliability are not optional extras for my family; they are essential. The stress of not knowing whether the vehicle is safe, reliable, or fit for purpose has been overwhelming.

A dealership has a responsibility to ensure the vehicles they sell are roadworthy, honestly represented, and handled professionally when problems arise. In my experience, that standard has not been met.

Due to the seriousness of these issues, the financial impact, and the ongoing concerns around safety and consumer rights, I am now seeking legal advice regarding this matter.

I sincerely hope no other family is placed in a similar position.

Purchased a car at the end of May from NT Traders. Had nothing but trouble with them. Was told different things by different members of staff. The car was initially described as good condition however upon delivery the car was full of scratches, dents and chunks out of the alloys. The delivery guy was in a rush to “go buy another car” so he didn't allow me time to test drive or even look around the car. I have then been trying to contact NT traders however the communication has been awful. I keep getting told one thing then being told to wait for an outcome. They told me there is nothing they can do about the dent as it’s cosmetic!! The car was mis sold. A dent would not be fall under “good condition”. They should have disclosed the issues with any paint work / damage to the car. I am now battling with them and have put in a complaint and the response I received was “ You totally noted your feedback and will share this with team.” They also advised the car had working Apple play. This was not the case. The software in the car was so outdated and I was told the car would need to go to a registered DS and pay £220 for the software to be done due to it being so outdated. The other issue was I was initially promised delivery on the Sunday and stayed at home to wait for the car - I was quoted £150 for delivery which I agreed upon….. the car never arrived and was told it would be Monday. I work and had to take a day off work which I am then at a loss for incorrect information provided by them.. They then tried to charge me double the price for delivery!!! I would not trust this company. They do not know how to communicate and they sell dented and scratched cars and there response is it’s cosmetic and not their fault!!!! Due to the time taken to get a response from them I am now out of my window to return the car. I have contacted the motor ombudsman and will start legal proceedings.

I understand that I purchased a 10-year-old used vehicle and did not expect it to be in perfect condition. However, my concerns are not based on the vehicle's age alone.

The service was already overdue when the vehicle was sold to me, and I only discovered this after checking the service history when the service light appeared on the first day of ownership. While I appreciate that you agreed to contribute towards the service cost, the refund did not cover the full amount that I had to pay despite the service being overdue before the sale.

My main concern is the condition identified during the service inspection. I was informed that there was significant rust underneath the vehicle, which was not something I was aware of when purchasing it remotely. Had I known the extent of the corrosion, I would have reconsidered the purchase. I contacted you promptly to discuss the issue and even suggested exchanging the vehicle for another car from your stock, but I received little to no communication afterwards.

In addition, the tyres required replacement and the vehicle was delivered in a very poor state of cleanliness. While these issues may seem minor individually, combined with the overdue service and concerns raised during inspection, they contributed to a disappointing overall experience.

My review reflects my personal experience as a customer. I would have preferred to resolve these concerns directly with you, but I felt that communication became difficult once the sale had been completed.

I visited the dealership today after being told to travel there so that my concerns regarding the rust could be discussed and that I would be given options on how the issue could be be resolved. This involved a 3-hour drive each way, which I made in good faith.

However, when I arrived, no inspection of the vehicle was carried out. I was simply told that rust is normal and that all cars have rust. While I understand that some surface rust can be expected on an older vehicle, I do not agree that the level of rust present on my vehicle is acceptable, especially considering the price I paid.

The only work carried out was underneath the vehicle, while the rust visible around the wheels and other areas of concern was not addressed. No options were offered to resolve the issue, despite this being the reason I was asked to make the journey.

I left feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously. After driving 3 hours to the dealership expecting a discussion and possible solutions, I received neither an inspection nor any meaningful resolution.

This garage is an absolute nightmare. I have had nothing but issues with them.
Within 24 hours of collecting the vehicle, it developed a throttle body fault and had to be returned for repairs. Shortly afterwards, it suffered an injector fault which required major repairs and left the vehicle off the road for an extended period. After the repair, the same injector fault occurred again, ultimately leading to me rejecting the vehicle.
I also repeatedly reported an electrical fault. I was told it had been fixed, but the issue continued to occur.
From the day of purchase, concerns regarding the brakes and a wheel bearing were identified by a family member who is a mechanic. I raised these issues with the dealership on multiple occasions, but they were never addressed.
The vehicle spent significant time back in the garage, causing major inconvenience and disruption. Although courtesy cars were provided, they were not suitable for my work requirements.
I also requested repair documentation on several occasions, but this was never provided.
After months of faults, repeated repairs, unresolved issues and a complete loss of confidence in the vehicle, I had no option but to reject it. The rejection was accepted.
To make matters worse, after accepting the rejection, the dealership sought to apply such a large mileage deduction that it exceeded the amount I had actually paid towards the vehicle, despite the fact that the car was sold with multiple issues and ultimately had to be rejected due to recurring faults.

All within the space of 4 months!

Overall, a very frustrating and stressful experience that fell well below the standard I would expect when purchasing a vehicle. I would not recommend based on my experience.

We bought a Land Rover Discovery in late February, but by late April, the car suffered a catastrophic failure (the timing chain, we think). This started a series of more and more disturbing interactions with the firm.

After an ongoing email exchange, where they wanted both relevant and irrelevant information (the AA report, the mileage etc), communication soon slowed right up. When we started insisting on some kind of action, they told us the fault was "not covered by their warranty". When we told them that we weren't interested in the warranty, we wanted recompense according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, they replied that they would (out of goodwill) pay for HALF the price of the repairs (without any indication of what that was).

We tried calling them (it's very difficult to get through on the phone), and eventually told them that, according to the law, they would have to either repair, or replace the car, which had to be of satisfactory quality, free from fault and fit for purpose-and that this is covered for six months after purchase from a dealer. As a company that literally does this for a living, I didn't doubt that they already knew this-it just appeared that they thought we didn't.

Over the phone, their salesman, Hamed, seemed to adopt the "broken record technique" of simply reiterating details of his warranty-as if a company could write a document that will exempt them from the law of the land. When I asked him to put his refusal to adhere to the legislation in writing, he said he "would send an email", but he was "too busy at the moment". He has also now told us that they will refuse to allow our car onto their lot unless we agree to pay what they are demanding. This leaves the car on another company's forecourt-something we are going to have to start to pay for.

It's all heading towards legal action now-so depressing. My partner, who has had bad health and works incredibly hard, really doesn't need this. He is now having to rent cars for work-an expense that we will have to add to the claim on NT. We all know that (barring insolvency), NT will have to observe the law-and we're being very cooperative. We simply want a car that will drive.

We tried to sell our car through Motorway. We were offered a lower offer than recommended by Motorway which we accepted.

They scheduled the pick up 6 weeks later despite us needing to sell the car more quickly.

They were unable to change the timing of the pick up which then meant I needed to cancel work for two hours.

On arrival they inspected the car and said there was ‘undisclosed damage’. I had already gone round the car in detail with the Motorway inspector, and it has a recent MOT so I knew it was all in the condition advertised.

They then dropped their offer by 20% and spent the next two hours on the phone to me pressuring me to take their offer, calling me dishonest about the ‘undisclosed damage’.

I have found that they have already advertised my car on their website, despite not being in their possession. And charging almost double the price for it!

Reading all the reviews here it seems this is their modus operandi that they offer later pick up and then high pressure tactics to take a much lower offer. I wish I had read the reviews first.
