Firstly this is a great way to travel through the centre of London. However we caught the boat at Battersea and it was approx 10 minutes late arriving. By the time we got to Canary Wharf we were over 20 minutes late and consequently missed seeing the marathon runner we had specifically travelled to see. Really really frustrating that even a Sunday timetable means nothing in practise. If you have a timetable stick to it otherwise what is the point of having one?

The staff is amazing, very polite and always ready to help. I always use Uber Boats as preferred method of transport in London. When I had a query it was responded very promptly and resolved by Nirali in Customer Services. Also amongst stewards, Norman and Lee were happy to go the extra mile to help with my journey when travelling with my toddler and elderly mother. Five star services provided by amazing people!

Piccolo tratto dal Millennium Bridge fino al Big Ben. Eravamo in 6 (due famiglie da 3 persone) ma una famiglia è stata lasciata a terra perché ha tardato un secondo ad esibire la terza carta bancomat per imbarcarsi. Noi avevamo appena tappato le nostre 3 carte bancomat diverse e già saliti. Senza l' altra coppia perché la barca è partita subito.
Una volta scesi, siccome a bordo ci era stato detto di tapparla ancora altrimenti ci sarebbe stata addebitata la tratta completa del tour andata e ritorno, ossia 25 sterline a testa, una carta ha funzionato, le altre due no. Il personale di bordo è stato maleducatissimo e non ci ha nemmeno risposto. Ci siamo rivolti al personale di terra dell'imbarco al Big Ben, ma il ragazzo sembrava lì per caso, aiuto zero. Se non darci il numero di telefono della compagnia, al quale non ha mai risposto nessuno. Non fate gite sul Tamigi con questa compagnia, ha del pessimo personale. Impreparato, maleducato, strafottente.

Terrible experience. Traveled from North Greenwich to Bankside, instead of £10.80 for single trip have been charged £36.50. Four of us used contactless bank cards all 4 had the same issue with over charging.
Boat side windows were dirty, hence if anyone would like to see / take a photo of blurred London Bridge or Tower of London please proceed. Photos enclosed.
All above things never had place, not until Uber took over the Thames clippers.

I am writing to report an incident of unprofessional behavior I experienced while on the Uber RB6. A member of the crew shouted at me simply because I was standing near the rail. Instead of a polite explanation, the crew member's communication was immature and inappropriate. I believe this conduct is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Uber's standards of customer service. I kindly request that you address this issue to ensure such behavior does not occur again.

We had to move our booking due to illness and our tickets said non refundable non moveable. However their online service was outstanding (Nirali) and I have now had my tickets moved to a later date. Highly recommended.

Left waiting for over 1.5 hrs for a westbound Uber boat from Canary Wharf- virtually no information given, half the boats that came were empty and not allowing any passengers on board and the others were virtually full and thus only a handful of customers allowed on board ( we also had the farce of one of these waiting at the pier for over 15 minutes so that a barista changeover could occur).
I would strongly recommend that you do not use this third rate service on the Thames.

I have reported an incident of rudeness, intimidation and sexism to Thames Clipper regarding a member of their boat staff, “Sam”. The incident took place on the Uber Boat westbound service, which reached the Battersea Power Station stop at around 19:50 on Sunday 30th March. The member of staff is white, male, at least 6 ft tall, approx 20s.
My partner and I took the Uber boat from Battersea going towards Putney that day. It was the first time either of us had taken an Uber boat, and we arrived at Battersea station at 19:20. When we got there, both the online schedule and the digital information board said there was a boat due in 5 mins time (19:25). So we tapped our Oyster cards at the terminal, given that there were Oyster readers there (we didn’t think the process was any different to taking a tube or a bus). However, the boat that was due at 19:25 did not show up, and then at that point it disappeared from the information board. We decided to wait a while to see if the boat would show up, as there was zero information given on the board. We ended up waiting in the cold until it did arrive at 19:50.
As we boarded the boat, a female member of staff asked us to tap the Oyster reader again so that she could witness it. We did, but we both got an error message, and she said that was because our “taps” would have expired as we did them more than 20 mins ago.
We explained that was because the board said a boat was due in 5 mins, but we then just tapped the reader again as she had asked, and then went into the boat. At that point, I commented privately to my partner that I wasn’t aware of that piece of information, and that I hoped we hadn't been charged twice. At that point, a male member of staff then approached us and rudely intervened, saying “there were instructions on the machine - if you’d have read them, then you would have known this!”.
His tone was aggressive, intimidating and rude from the offset, and I was taken aback, as I hadn’t even been talking to him. He just appeared out of nowhere. I then tried to explain to him that we had tapped in at the pier because on the digital display, it said that a boat was due to Putney in 5 mins, but without any notice or information, the boat did not turn up for 30 mins. He then proceeded to ignore my explanation and just repeated very rudely “there are clear instructions on the reader - you should have read them”. He must have cut me off and said this about 5-7 times. Then he made a rude hand gesture at me! I was shocked, as this guy is meant to be a working professional, not some drunk fool trying to start a fight in a pub!
My partner then intervened and tried to explain to him again why we had tapped in at the pier. Sam yet again said the same rude response repeatedly, despite my partner then saying that we did not want to speak with him any further. He then called my partner rude names, like “big man” etc etc.
I've never witnessed or experienced anyone being that proactively rude to me... let alone someone who is meant to be at work!
Sam also said he would have us thrown off at the next stop! My partner was just trying to defend me as I was being mocked and hand-gestured (he repeatedly made a "yapping" gesture with his hand at me, which men used to do to women in the 1950s to tell them to shut up) at by an aggressive male.
The last thing I want is conflict - I'm a 42-year-old female working professional, and I don't appreciate being spoken to or gestured at like an idiot, especially when I was in the middle of a private conversation with my partner.
I hope Thames Clipper deals with this appropriately as it’s just not on. Looks like many other people have experienced similar rudeness from Thames Clipper staff and I’m wondering if it’s from this same perpetrator.

Truly Disneyfied experience - Mickey Mouse. Boats were late, captains were confused about whether they should dock at the eastbound or westbound gangplanks, crew constantly shouted at passengers (“Keep clear of the doors. If you don’t, we will shut them and you will just have to fry in here because the AC doesn’t work” “Back up 5 feet. Backup 5 feet. BACK UP 5FEET!”). it was stupidly expensive, overcrowded, noisy, chaotic and unpleasant. Never again.

Told one would be along within 15 minutes. It took 40 minutes then I wasn’t allowed on as it was too full. Hoping to get on the next one which should I’ve been told be along in 20 minutes. Costly at £7.70 with a senior discount!

Timetable said the boat would be there at 1426 but when we arrived (at 1420) the travel indicator said the next boat would be at 1526. So after 10 mins we walked away to find alternative transport. Then a boat appeared but too late for us to get back to the pontoon - it just ploughed on by. Don't believe its timetable, don't believe its travel indicators on the pontoons. Always plan on alternative means of transport.
