When I started with Textbroker sometime in 2008, it was relatively new. There were some interesting articles to write on a variety of subjects. The management at that time was very nice and accommodating, Writing was more of a hobby since I was still in the throes of my career at the time. There were many years when I wrote nothing at all because I was too busy. When I retired in 2017, I began to write more, but it was more difficult to find articles I cared to write. Most were concerned with SEO to get placement on Google, and the content the clients wanted was certainly not something I'd even be interested in reading, let alone writing, I noticed that Textbroker management had started to get more involved with the writers, making it more of an employee relationship than a contractual relationship. I didn't care for the management at all in these later years. They seemed to have gotten paranoid that legitimate US workers were not in the US, and I started to see many complaints in the forums about this issue. They had a way of turning it around to answer these writers by telling them they were more concerned for the writers' security. That made no sense to me. When they changed their payment platform from PayPal to Payoneer it was about the last straw for me, and I wrote very little after that transition. I finally decided there was no sense having a dormant account, so I closed it, If someone asked me in the years between 2008 and 2010 whether or not I recommended Textbroker, I would have endorsed it as emphatically as I would have advised to steer clear of it when I left.

Textbroker is the worst company to work for. I have never had any quality problem with my work but one morning I woke up and I found my account was blocked for security purposes. When I contacted them, they immediately said my account was going to be reviewed after 2 days. I had some orders in progress and I tried to explain to their support team but they didn't even reply. Now they just sayed my account was closed and I can no longer work for them. They don't protect their writers at all, especially those who are doing so well. My experience with them was so bad. I can't recommend them at all.

Previously, I had a full-time writer on hand for my agency's content creation needs. The system worked but was not nearly as easy to manage into our workflow as is it working with Text Broker. I set up Teams, and whalla I can submit the content that I need and a writer looking to get to work can accept the task. Delivery is fast and change requests or in-house changes to delivered content are limited.

I am a good writer, not the best, however, there is almost NEVER any work with this site. They used to have enough to go around, but no longer. It's like rabid dogs/writers fighting to write an article for pennies... It's crazy... I mean, the site barely pays, compared to other companies and the rabid writers will write for almost zero compensation... If you get on a team, that is good and I've taken direct orders as well. These orders pay much better, but rarely are around... Don't forget, you have to literally CONSTANTLY check the website for work and I mean CONSTANTLY...

A year ago the site was a WONDERFUL way to write. I would give it an 8 out of 10 a year ago. If I ranked it now, as a writer, I'd give it a 1...

Update: Textbroker replied about me getting in touch with them to get more work. Totally not true. They want to know who I am, so they can be sure to eliminate me from the site, just because I came here, to tell the truth... 1 million writers working for pennies on the dollar and fighting over the pennies. This site started out strong and is now weak. I recommend putting your efforts elsewhere and don't waste your time and talent on this site...

Textbroker was able to provide me with good quality content At an affordable price and quickly. I would certainly use them again. I had a good experience.

I've had several orders filled over the past 2 weeks. So far, most have been very good. One writer did not follow instructions and would not fix the issue. Luckily, another writer came in and did a nice job. My advice is to provide very clear instructions in the briefing.
