What a disappointment 😞 I have just started a new decaffeinated packet and oh dear what has happened to the taste. Like others I thought it was me but tried again this morning and don't want to finish it. Awful. Been a loyal customer for many years. So I am off to try the Yorkshire tea as others have suggested. Tetley you need to sort this out.
Great shame.

No taste at all what on earth has happened ?

I know Tetley have changed their packaging to cardboard instead of plastic which is brilliant ,but where has the taste gone in the tea bags ,i thought I had lost my sense of taste because I have a bad cold .All I can taste is hot water ,they are awful ,and I have 2 big boxes to get thru .Come on Tetley stop ripping us off and rectify this cos you will lose all your customers .

We have used Tetley tea for more than 30 years and enjoyed its consistent flavour. I am not sure what they have done this year but the heritage it has built up has gone out of the window..it’s no longer the product it was. We have stopped buying it now. For those looking for an alternative try the brand beginning with Y it’s a good option.

I couldn’t taste my tea, thought I had covid or something! I just wasn’t enjoying my cuppa! I’d just opened a new BIG bag, and remembered I had a few left in a tin from the previous lot. What a shock! They had almost half a bag of leaves but the new ones were only 1/3 full! Do they think we won’t notice after buying them for 40 years and drinking them every day? Not any more!! I’ll try PG

So glad I looked this up. Like all the other comments I’ve been using and loving Tetley for 25 years. I thought the change was due to buying a big bag but no, a small box was just the same. Something has changed. The tea tastes weird, weak - different, not good. So like all the other reviews, Goodbye Tetley. My search for a replacement begins 😢

Tetleys one-cup tea bags are the worst tea bags off all brands, they are so weak. just put milk in hot water, pointless putting the tea bag in, i have been buying Tetleys for years, but its time to change brand i think, probably move to PG Tips

What has happened to tetley teabags ? I’ve used tetley for over 40 years but sadly I won’t be buying anymore. They are now lacking in flavour and I may as well be drinking a cup of hot water.

I have been using Tetley teabags and Decaffeinated teabags for over 20 years however I have noticed a change in the taste and not for the better. They have a nasty metallic taste. At first, I thought it was because I had changed supermarkets but quickly realised that this was not the case after testing this theory out. I am afraid I will be trying other brands now possibly Yorkshire teabags.

Tetley One-Cup are to be avoided for any regular tea-lovers. The bags are smaller with less tea than other bags (hence the 'one-cup' tag line, as if anyone would seriously try and reuse a single bag?!), and no amount of brewing and stewing results in anything tasting like a conventional cup of tea - more like a cup of warm, brown milk. Useless, cheap, nasty - avoid.

I’ve just opened a new box of Tetley tea bags and they taste terrible!! I threw it away and tried again in case it was the cup, it’s not! I’ve always used Tetley but not any more! I’m so upset, I drink lots of tea. I’ve just seen many other reviews saying the same? It’s horrible, really nasty taste and colour! 11/11….edit. we’ve just tried Yorkshire tea and it’s really lovely, I’m so surprised, I always said I would never change from Tetley!

Since Tetley have stopped sealing their tea bags they taste horrible and the colour is is awful I am definitely not buying another packet

I'm shocked at all the negative reviews!
I'm wondering if there's something wrong with me, as I can't say the tea tastes different, or is weaker and my bags don't break! 😳 Maybe I'm just a peasant?
Honestly, I can't say the t bags have changed! I like the fact that there Isn't any plastic in the bags anymore, this means I can compost them with ease...before I was breaking them open to add to my garden compost!
The only negative I've noticed was the live stock addition recently, I noticed some white 'grit' on the box...which soon spread throughout my utility room! On examination with a magnifying glass, I could see the 'grit' was in fact moving! We had an infestation of pinpoint sized weevils...same as we used to get in flour many years ago, but we add a dry bay leaf now. Shame about customer support too, because they just ignore my questions asking them to confirm what the live stock actually is!
I haven't stopped buying the tea, and appreciate the vouchers Tetley sent me...but I would appreciate an answer!

Tetley Tea is the only tea I drink. I have also noticed that the taste is no longer what it was.
I have to use two tea bags to the taste
Is this due to cost savings? Reducing the amount in the bag?
Has Tetley responded to anyone regarding this?

Tetley Teabags are definitely not the same really weak and looks like dishwater I have used tetley teabags for 20 years will be looking for a replacement…. No more for me

I have drank Tetley for over 40 years and enjoyed it till recently! I find it does not taste the same to me any longer! I thought it might be me but after seeing all the similar reviews I know it is not me but Tetley which has changed to an inferior blend! I will be seeking a substitute that is as close to Tetley as it was before they decided to go the inferior route, no doubt for profits! Shame on Tetley! This will only hurt them! Another loyal customer disappointed!

Tetley tea bags are no longer the brew that was. They are grey color when brewed, do not have enough taste and no matter how long the tea bag is left in the cup the flavour does NOT 'flood through'.
Disgruntled customer who misses the good old days of top tea bags....

I’ve been a loyal fan of Tetley since I switched from PG in the early eighties.
I’m a big tea drinker and thought the fairly recent change in flavour of Tetley and weakness of the brew was down to maybe a one-off ‘rogue’ batch. But no, our new purchase is equally as poor. My family say the same.
Never thought I’d change or have to switch.
Just calculated we’ve purchased/used at home between 100,000 - 120,000 Tetley tea bags over the years!
Sadly it’s goodbye Tetley and we now start the search for a new decent cuppa.

I have used Tesco teabags for years. The recent changes to packaging (resulting in lots of messy dust leaking from the box and residue at the bottom of the cup), made me try an alternative. I assumed Tetley would be a good choice, but have been very disappointed with the taste.

Don’t know why but every cup of tea made with these tea bags seem to break. They’re the flimsiest tea bags I’ve ever known. Always access tes in the cups. They split so easily it’s ridiculous. I wasted at least 10 bags out of box because they had rips in
