Bus ticket inspector abuse
I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from a ticket inspector employed by Tübingen Bus Service on June 8, 2023, at 9:22 AM. The incident I experienced was highly distressing and calls for attention.
Upon boarding the bus, I was immediately approached by a ticket inspector who demanded my identification without allowing me any time to attend to other matters. To my surprise, I was informed that as a Spanish student cardholder, I was required to pay a fine. Despite not being given any alternative, I reluctantly handed over my Spanish ID card and student card, both of which were taken away by the inspector.
To my shock, upon returning, the inspector insisted that I pay him in cash to retrieve my ID card, claiming that I needed it for my upcoming flight to Spain on Sunday. I was instructed to disembark at a stop with a bank in order to withdraw money and hand it to him personally. I was denied the opportunity to purchase a ticket or even explain my situation.
This treatment was not only unfair but also unacceptable. I was wrongfully detained and felt exploited by the threat of withholding my identification, which is a violation of my rights. As a paying passenger, I expect to be treated with respect and dignity by the employees of Tübingen Bus Service.
I demand a thorough investigation into this incident and appropriate actions taken to rectify the situation. Furthermore, I insist on being refunded the unjust fine or provided with suitable compensation for the distress caused by this ordeal.
In conclusion, I hope that Tübingen Bus Service takes my complaint seriously and addresses the issue promptly. It is essential to ensure that no other passenger experiences such mistreatment in the future. As a customer, I expect a higher level of service and fairness.
