I took my Wedding ring in to get it enlarged, it took 2 weeks for an estimate, then I was told 2 weeks for the repair, I chased after 3 weeks and had no response, I rang again after over 4 weeks to be told it is in, I have had no contact from Steffans- very disappointing indeed.

Took my Gucci watch for repair. I was told it needed a new circuit and quoted £450 for repair. I declined and took it to another shop who replaced the battery for £7. Working perfectly. Brought it to the attention of Steffans who have been completely indifferent. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

We were let down by another jeweller when sourcing a specific Tag Heuer watch for my daughter’s birthday. Fortunately Wes at Steffans ensured the one they had was delivered promptly and with an engraved plaque in the box. Nothing was too much trouble and he was not only highly efficient but polite and courteous also. I would not hesitate to recommend Steffans Jewellers to others

Great experience buying my new watch. Wes, Ellie and Lizzie were all great. I made a mistake in choosing the wrong watch, being too similar to another I own, a few days ago. Even though the warranty had been registered and the bracelet adjusted, Wes took back for full value. I viewed a variety of watches today and everyone was so patient and helpful. Wes even discounted the new peice to help with my budget. Can totally recommend using Steffans for attentive service, friendliness and patience. Thanks once again.

object to spending 3 figure sums on purportedly new items only to get home and discover I've been flogged a 2nd hand item and one that furthermore doesn't work

Used to be a great shop to use and have spent a lot of money over the years, but since Steffan has decided to retire and put his Northampton shop up with massive sales it’s gone downhill.

Bought a £50 gift voucher to be delivered, but when it arrived it was open and no gift voucher, I have emailed them twice explaining what happened and never had a reply.

Will not be using them again, which is a shame as I have been a customer for 20 years.

Terrible experience at Steffans - my husband took my aqua marine necklace in to be redesigned into a ring. Steffans managed to “misplace” my necklace and will not take liability for their negligence/theft of my necklace - please avoid this company - having spoken to others about my experience it seems this is not a one off.

Serena is just fantastic, not pushy and so welcoming, a credit to Steffans. We really wanted to buy from a local company to us, especially as my fiancé purchased my engagement ring from Serena at Steffans and told me how fantastic she was, which I loved (and she helped pick an amazing ring). Serena made time for us although we didn’t book an appointment and made our wedding ring buying experience really special and memorable. She was very knowledgable, as when making a large purchase this is important. Can’t thank her enough and we will be back to purchase any other jewellery we buy in the future.

Very poor customer service, put my watch for repair advised will take 12 weeks to get ready, when I rang after 12 weeks they did not order the parts ( nothing done) now I have to wait another 12 weeks, customer service can not care less , I should learn a lesson same thing happened few years ago when I tried to service another watch, this will be last time I go to Stefan …. My advise AVOID Stefan jewelers .

Excellent service by Serena, I left it abit short notice for the wedding ring, but as promised it arrive within the time frame which is appreciated, and a friendly and no push sale.

After some difficulties the staff, particularly Alex, went the extra mile to ensure I was left with a very positive experience. After receiving the goods, I had to ring them to let them know the standard and quality of their goods were beyond my expectation. Thos is one retailer that will ne saved as one of my favourites! Thank you Alex and the team who appear to be working in a lovely environment

Absolutely fantastic customer service . People went above and beyond to ensure I got my order quickly and couldn't be more helpful.

Always given polite and professional service here (well, and added bit of banter and laughs from the staff member who shows my husband lots of new watches, which he inevitably ends up buying 😂 )
Nothing is too much trouble for them, whether you spend £10 or £1000 we are always treated with respect.
Steffans is always our first choice for jewellery and watches, and for repairs too.

I have purchased several watches from Steffans in the past, both with a suitable discount and a gift, and never had a problem with the service which was genuinely good.

My recent interaction with them this time round has been extremely poor and very disappointing – they were unresponsive to emails and calls from the start, they failed to make contact or respond when promised while negotiating and once we had agreed terms (I have their quote in writing on an email) they tried to put the price up at the last minute.

The gentleman I was dealing with tried to tell me they hadn’t come back to me as they didn’t want to conclude the deal – then have the decency to inform me of that fact! Equally do not commit and agree to the arrangement via a confirmation email if you will not be keeping your word.

A very poor way to treat a repeat customer and to conduct business in general, you should honour the pricing you commit to in writing and communicate much better – surprisingly most of the bad service experienced came from a director!

Unsurprisingly 20% of all reviews on Trust Pilot are 1* and I am certainly not the only one to have this same issue.

I would avoid and use C.W Sellors, I got a better deal in the end and a much more professional service.

*Update since below reply from Steffans - the deal we eventually agreed upon, that your director slyly tried to up the price on at the last minute, involved paying IN FULL for the watch - as per your quote. It did not involve finance, so your reply makes very little sense nor do the fake sentiment or words of apology. If you want to be polite and nice towards your customers I would suggest trying it at point of sale!

We recently bought our wedding bands from Steffans and was assisted by Serena and Tracy who were marvellous. They made us feel so comfortable giving us great advice and customer service. Definitely would return!!

I recently bought a pair of Gucci earrings for my daughter which arrived faulty, this firm has honestly offered the best customer service I think i have ever had from a firm. Amazing communication, no quibble in getting them replaced which arrived within 48hours, they have been a dream. Sadly the replacement also broke but clearly a fault with the earrings, again an exchange was sorted within 24hrs and the balance refunded. If only every firm could be as helpful and courteous, would defo use again

I have been let down by another well known high street Jeweller (Goldsmiths) who cancelled the order of a necklace for my wifes 30th birthday. This was a day before the order was due despite assurances from earlier in the week it would be delivered.

I saw the same item listed at Steffans (at the same price) placed an order. I followed up with a call to the e-commerce team to check the item was available and explained the situation I was in. The friendly lady I spoke to (sorry could not remember the name) said she would ring back to confirm.

I received a call a couple hours later confirming it was in stock and lady said she would try to get it sent off today to help me given the situation.

I've just received notification it has dispatched! This review may be a bit premature as I've not received the item just yet but thanks for saving my bacon after a nightmare with Goldsmiths.

My family has shopped at Steffans for many years and I recently placed an order for two diamond rings to be made. I also purchased 2 diamond pendants, a Tag Heuer watch and for some existing jewellery to be redesigned. In all cases I was absolutely delighted with the quality and workmanship.

We bought our wedding rings here in 2017 and were blown away by the level of service provided. We were offered a drink on arrival (after just walking in) and a seat in a quieter area, while the sales assistant brought a selection of rings to us. They even gave us a free gift and beautifully wrapped our rings.

We never forgot that, and recently returned to buy an eternity ring. Serena served us and was super professional, respectful and friendly throughout. She made us feel so relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. We've been to Harrods and Tiffany's and not received service on this level.
