The biggest mistake to use online shopping with this shop. They use Evri (another 1* review from me), request £5 for the cheapest delivery and to collect from the shop, then they lose my parcel. To contact with the customer service is a massive pain. After 10 minutes taken away from my life the online chat says they disconnect me because they are busy (understandable after this service they provide). So you try again, once you get to somebody they are nice and answer almost every question. They said they will resend my parcel again. I was happy with it until the next 5 minutes when I got the email they don’t have it on stock anymore. I don’t understand how the customer service didn’t see it is out of stock????? So I was waiting my refund. I gave them more than a week, still no money. I contacted with them again (same pain to contact) and turned out they still didn’t issue the refund. One of the worse online experience in my life.

Darlington store,Andy really helped me in store today, broken bone in foot and looking for shoes to wear in interim till healed, Andy went out of his way to help me and walked away with a pair of trainers I will be able to wear until healed, nothing too much trouble for him so 10 out of 10 from me.

I called at Sports Direct at Durham Near Dragonville to enquire about Sketchers trainers for men and a very helpful salesman called Gary was most informative and gave me lots of information regarding the different styles etc. I mentioned that I was looking for line skates for my grandson and he actually took me upstairs and showed me the different skates that were stocked and guided me regarding the skates and the protection needed to enable my grandson to skate safely. He went above no beyond with his help and I was very, very impressed with his extensive knowledge of the skates and trainers etc. Will definitely call again.

Ordered two pairs of puma shorts XXL and received an XL and a Small unfortunately I’d deleted the order email but they wouldn’t help.
I left a review on there website but they refused to use it as it never met there guidelines so you can’t rely on there website for reviews as you don’t get the truth

One of the worse stores I’ve ever dealt with in relation to online deliveries. Don’t ever use their online order service.
I’ve been waiting two weeks for package where I’ve paid for express delivery. Nobody in store can assist and you can’t speak with anyone online. Shocking service

I had a terrible experience at the Gullingham branch of Sports Direct.
I had difficulty with the payment link online hence I went to the store to do my purchase.
I encountered the Branch Manager, a lady (didn't get her name) and I politely relayed my difficulty making payments online.
She was very rude, dismissive and seemed uninterested about my plight in front of my kids.
This is a really appalling behaviour and should be checked.
Sports Direct Gillingham have definitely lost a customer.

If you buy anything make sure it's from one of there stores. They make it near impossible to return anything to them and if you do manage it they charge you £5.99. Dealing with the customer service is extremely frustrating and they do that deliberately so that you give up. They don't care if you are a very good customer because he has a vast amount of clothing companies. His customer service team are overwhelmed with complaints so they just mess you around.

We bought 8 large suitcases today, the cashier, Aaliyah was extremely friendly and helpful and even offered to help take the suitcases to the front. Her friendly personality and fantastic, quick service made this by far our best experience at Sports Direct at Valley Leisure Park. Girl needs a promotion!

Tried to take back trainers that were ordered online to local store. Too big for my granddaughter and they had the right size in the store. Not allowed. Have to pay £5 to send them back!! Looking at all the reviews already on here, how on earth is this rip off company still in business?

Worst company, and I wish I could give the worst rating. I bought a pair of shoes in the store that're the wrong size. I went back to change to the right size, and they don't have it. However, they refused to refund me through my card as they only refunded via a voucher. I got a voucher card and tried to order an item, but it was cancelled because they couldn't process it. Now I am stuck, unable to use the voucher code and tried contacting their team and chatted with someone named Ntwenhle, who's rude and even stinks more than the company, wouldn't answer my question and insinuated I was lying.

Sent the wrong size item. Trying to contact them is next to impossible- live chat times out because there’s not enough people to chat to, that’s once you’ve battled your way past the most annoying, unhelpful chat bot. Thoroughly shoddy customer service. I won’t be buying from them again. Also, I still haven’t got what I actually ordered.

Awful delivery times and difficult customer service.

I was charged a return fee for sending back faulty goods.
I will NEVER shop with them again.

Went to Valley Park, Croydon store 2 September 2025. The staff were rude, unhelpful and very bullish; there was no help for disabled customers and I was discriminated against. There didn't care whether you bought your product or not (one staff member's every other word was 'innit'. Probably the worst store I have ever been into and where there was more focus on no customer service than anything else. One member of staff, halfway through serving us walked off to say goodbye to a colleague who, according to him, hadn't said goodbye to him! Bizarre. It was a very rough environment with staff members pushing past customers, walking through customers; an utter shambles of a company with no customer care.

I went to Wycombe's store to buy a pair of trainers that I saw on the web for my nephews. I couldn't find the brand, I walked the whole first floor for a human worker to help me out, but I see that no humans work in shops anymore. I went downstairs and thanks the creator I found somebody behind the till and asked her where could I find the brand for children I was looking for, she could not give the information adding that there are supposed to be (perhaps were), two workers upstairs. Anyway! I just left frustrated and angry that nobody can help in this place. Considering that you won't never be able to return an item bought in here and a shitty customer service. DO NOT BUY IN THIS PLACE.

I tried to cancel an item ( cricket bat for an Afghan friend) but was unable to cancel, even though it was only a few minutes later. When the item arrived, the Evri courier agreed to return it for me.
Sports Direct are refusing to refund the £139.99

I ordered 3 items on one order no only received one item, trying to rectify this a nightmare. I will never use this company again and will advise the same to anyone that asks. The most appalling customer service I’ve ever encountered 🤬

Undelivered goods but tracked delivery and it as been delivered. Taken 34 days to deliver nothing despite having taken my money. Tried 3 different customer service emails and a live chat only to be told they have no record of my order and I should take it up with the company you paid. The invoice for my order as an order number but it's not the right one. Now when I try to log on to their website to see my order it doesn't recognise my email address. Complete incompetence of a customer service. Looks like I can kiss my £36 goodbye.

Bought some wardrobes via there sports direct website ! They arrived half missing and sent a bed instead and no customer services . Half the wardrobes are missing no customer services only a robot !!!! Can’t speak to anyone no telephone customer services no refund over £300 and no refund

Bought some gym gear shorts t-shirt £70
Over a week ago,7Days past still no delivery and I paid £4.99 for delivery .as sports direct goes your service is just as bad as the carrier Evri who you use to deliver ..I’m amazed you still use the carrier service Evri especially when so many people have complained ..and I’m another one …very disappointed and il be sharing my experience with friends
I do not recommend anyone to choose a purchase this way from sports direct
