I've been using Sniffspot for quite a few years. My dog is reactive but loves to run around and get her zoomies out, and this allows her to do it. We have used many different locations and have never had any issues. Going to enjoy the swimming pool next month.
I used today's date, even though we didn't go anywhere today. I just wanted to write a review on my experience.

I looked into SniffSpot but found their subscription and billing practices very confusing and frustrating. Trying to figure out exact locations, memberships, and fees felt like a waste of time. There’s no way to filter for places close to you either. For me, it’s much simpler to stick with free public dog parks.

Created an account and put in my card information but never used the service. Cancelled it but then SNIFFSPOT tried charging me $192. Thankfully my bank detected it as fraud or else I would have been upset. Do better

They continued to charge me for 4 months after my cancellation. Customer service even said I cancelled but there was a glitch in their system. Refused to give a full refund.

SniffSpot made multiple charges in one day against an old canceled credit card despite being provided with a new credit card number. They then claimed via email they did not charge that card, despite all evidence to the contrary.
I have no idea how this was accomplished. There is no number to call anyone to deal with a significant issue.
Email is glacially slow. The dog yard I visited is nice, but after this mess I would never use this service.

We liked the few sniff spots we used in the area. They were clean and safe.
The reason for the 2 stars is their billing practices. I had a 7 day free trial that ended on 12/30. I had set up a "bronze plan" which was $20 / month. On 12/31, Sniffspot charged my card $20. On 1/1/26, they charged me another $20 for the month of January. Apparently they bill on the 1st of the month and do not prorate for the previous month. So, I have paid $40 for 1 day in December and the month of January.
I contacted customer service and they explained why I had two charges on my card. I responded asking why the previous month was not prorated and have not heard back again.

I signed up for a free trial of the Bronze Sniff Pass near the end of the month, and they charged me $20 at the end of the 1-week trial (as agreed upon), a few days before the end of the month… and then ALSO charged me $20 on the first of the next month. (They had never disclosed at the start of the free trial that auto-payments are processed on the first of the month, nor was that information anywhere on the website or in my account information, so I had assumed my auto-pay would occur- and re-occur regularly- on the day my trial ended. Essentially, I retroactively paid for a whole month of services when I only got 1 week.) I chalked it up to a personal oversight, and continued to use the service without issue for several months… until I went to cancel. I cancelled 2 days before the end of the month, yet they kept automatically charging me on the first of the month, past my cancellation date. One charge 2 days after cancellation, and 1 pending charge by the time I went through my credit card statement for that month. Glad I had taken screen shots for proof at the time of cancellation, because they had never sent me a email confirming the cancellation, and when I checked my account on their website today… my Sniff Pass was magically active again! PLUS, you cannot remove your credit card from their website!! Total fraudsters. Disputed with credit card company, and fortunately, was able to get the first charges refunded, but sadly, I have to follow up in a week on the “pending” charges, and I had to totally cancel my card (because my credit card company cannot guarantee SniffSpot hasn’t saved my info elsewhere), and I am still going through headache of transferring auto-pays to other merchants, onto my new card.
UPDATE, following SniffSpot’s response: What would you call it when you cancel your subscription before next month’s renewal, you have the screen shots to prove it and confirm you no longer have a subscription, but your subscription *somehow reactivates by itself*? Does that seem like an error made by a third party billing company? Not to me.

Not only do they now force you into their subscription model to even be able to use their services, their credits expire after a month while your service is active. To make matters worse, should you cancel, your credits will automatically expire at the end of that month.
I was able to contact support and get a refund, but this is clearly predatory to anyone not paying very close attention to the fine print.

DO NOT SIGN UP - HORRIBLE BILLING PRACTICE
even if you NEVER use your account or engage with the service they will charge you insane subscription fees you did not sign up for!! There's also no way to remove your credit card details!!!
I've never used the service, made an account and they've charged almost $300 to my credit card without my consent DAYS before Christmas!!

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Sniffspot and their billing practices. I canceled my account last month right after my free trial week, yet they still charged me and claimed I was “late.” I reluctantly paid the $60 and canceled again, thinking the issue was resolved.
But this month, they charged me again—even though my account was already canceled. To make matters worse, their system refuses to let me remove my credit card information, which is completely unacceptable and feels irresponsible on their part.
Sniffspot clearly lacks proper account management, professionalism, and customer care. Charging customers after cancellation and blocking them from removing their payment method is not just bad service—it’s a major red flag.
I strongly do not recommend this service. Until they fix these issues, be very cautious with your billing information.

I was never charged a monthly fee, nor did I receive any communication that I would be charged anything before terminating my relationship with this company.
Yet, while looking over my credit card statement, there was a sniffspot charge of $80.00 - No prior notice. Having contacted this organization on several occasions, not surprisingly, I was sent a canned email response letting me know how busy they “ will get back to me” That’s as credible as my dog serving me coffee in the morning. Intend to report this to my bank as fraud, because that’s a fact.

I signed up for a trial and did see that it was a subscription. I signed up for $20 per month. I then saw that I was charged $60 and it was going to renew for this amount each month. I never signed up for this much! I got no notification or email that I was charged, no receipt. The app said I could use those $60 to pay for services, but I couldn't find it anywhere when the billing cycle ends and how long I had to use it. I cancelled the subscription and the app said I could still use the money so I didn't ask for a refund. A few days later the $60 credit disappeared. So they basically stole $60.

This is such a great idea! We have used Sniffspot for years. There are yards all over the country and we use them when we travel. We don't have to worry about reactive dogs, bad owners, or illnesses that can be passed on. They have so many different types of "yards" you can't go wrong!
