Silva Timber Anmeldelser

Brought from here a few times, always competitive prices and quick delivery, what more do you want!

Purchased cedar posts and slats for a screen - the service was excellent.

I ordered a number of cedar posts and strips for a screen. That order was fine and delivered promptly.
I have since (July 2019) ordered some identical cedar strips that are 0.95m long to build a gate to match the screen. I chased the order and was told the wood was being delivered that day. What a coincidence?
I have emailed twice now asking for an update, but have received no reply. It doesn’t take much to reply to an email.
So, the state of play is that this company has my payment, hasn’t fulfilled it’s contract to supply the goods ordered and has stopped communicating with me. I think I might give Trading Standards a quick ring. I suspect they already know about this firm?

Excellent service are prompt delivery. They also corrected my error of ordering the wrong colour preservative with the minimum of fuss and no delay. Well done to there customer service team. I would highly recommend the company and their products.

I ordered twice from this company and everything was smooth.I used collection not delivery method as that way I save few £££ and not risks any delays or damages.Worth it to give them call to check if they have in stock what you want.

Stainless steel decking screw's were excellent, very easy to fix with no pilot holes, very competitive price and delivery as stated

The staff at Silva Timber were very helpful in sending a sample of the differing grades of Siberian larch. They also sent a couple of samples that had been treated with a colour so I could see what they looked like. I was then able to order in confidence. The timber arrived when they said and with the notice from the driver. Excellent advice re sorting the pile into two grades. the best for the front and the more knotty for the rear. the only slight problem is that the finished size of the 4 meter planks was 2 m/m different to the 3 meter planks so they did not match on a corner all the way up. The "L" shape corner cover soon sorted this out.

Good service. Excellent product Nothing else to add

Great technical advice from staff over the telephone. Ordering was simple and the shingles arrived quickly.

The order process from start to finish was as you would expect from a website but what was refreshingly to experience was this then was backed up by a phone call checking the order and the delivery details. This helped me as I wasn't aware of the requirement to have a person available to receive the delivery so I redirected it to a site I knew people would be at. Simple communication but without it there would have been a failed delivery!! Sadly this is being lost in the ever so increasing digital age we live in. Thank you again.

Great small lengths of Western Red Cedar to repair my greenhouse at a very good price BUT the postage was 4x the price of the wood. Had no choice as I live half way between the two depots. Chap who answered the phone was very helpful.

I went to collect wood I had ordered from their depot next to Heathrow. The staff member that I dealt with while waiting at the entrance for my order was extremely rude and unpleasant to deal with.

Good source of stainless steel lost-head and flat-head annular nails, price of the nails and postage was reasonable. My only minor quibble was that there was no notification that the parcel had been sent so it was lucky that I was around on the day.

Lovely location, lovely staff & lovely Larch cladding

Fantastic service lovely cladding quite reasonably priced looks good and would recommend highly

Excellent service. Ordered 2kg stainless nails, price for nails was excellent. Thought I was going to have a problem with the postage.!!! Because I live in the Highlands of Scotland, some really poor companies try to rip us off with over inflated delivery costs, which is a load of rubbish. Couldn’t believe that S.T. Where only charging £4 for delivery, I expected the usual email the next day asking for a stupid extra amount, usually more than the price of the product. It never came. Two days later nails turned up by courier.. Can’t praise these guys enough for an excellent service and quality of goods..
Gonna b needing a load of larch next, these guys are on the top of the list.. cheers!!!

I ordered some nails but wouldn't be available for 7 days to receive the order. I requested they held off delivery for 8 days. This they did. The order was of excellent quality and the price competitive.

My first order arrived within a couple of days, very good result. Second order, after paying for a delivery arrived a week later, not such a good result.

However the product was of a high quality, so well worth the wait.

Absolutely brillaint service from Laurance.Quite a difficult project from the start as I was building a summerhouse using natual products and needed lots of advice .Laurence I must say went out of of his way to suggest products and arrange delivery N.Ireland.
From the start to the completion of the project silva was there at all times to offer advice .Very genuine company from my experience

I've been buying Western Red Cedar cleardeck from Silvatimber to build specialist kayak paddles and boats for over 8 years now, and have always received excellent service from all the office staff who often go out of their way to cherrypick the timber from the warehouse for me ( I need very straight grain wood ).
Emails and calls are responded to quickly, and I fully recommend Silvatimber, and find it hard to believe some of the negative comments I have read based on my many experiences dealing with the company.
