This was the worst customer service!
This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had!
I reached out to them twice because their identification process did not work (even though it should). They told me to look at the FAQs of the company I was doing the identification for and that the ticket would be closed now. After reaching out to that company, they told me that SheerID is responsible, so I reached out to them again. I did not get a response. Therefore I opened a new ticket, explained my issue in detail as well as offering every documentation needed, and again same automated response as the first time. No assistance whatsoever.
This is ridiculous. I have both ticket IDs and would be more than happy to share the responses of customer service, feel free to reach out.

They have the worst customer support on earth. I had an issue with being verified as student and sent them a nice support email explaining my situation. They got back to me literally saying: Yes we cant verify you, and Yes we are not going to help. No explanation! no solution. Just a NO.
Like students don't have enough issues with cost of education in this country and one place I can get some saving and this is how we are treated.

Habe gemäß Anweisung einen tagesaktuellen Screenshot meiner Uni mit Nachweis meiner Anstellung hochgeladen. Rückmeldung 'nicht gültig'. Habe dann die letzte Verdienstbescheinigung hochgeladen (mit geschwärzten Verdienstdaten). Rückmeldung wieder 'nicht gültig'. Beides sind Dokumente, die von SheerID ausdrücklich als geeignet genannt werden. Kontaktmöglchkeiten gibt es nicht. Ich gebe jetzt auf und nutze andere Produkte als über SheerID.

At first, I had difficulty verifying my account, which made things very stressful because I needed access to Figma. I contacted SheerID multiple times, but I kept receiving responses that my verification had failed and could not be processed further. It was a very frustrating and discouraging experience.
However, I decided to email them again and CC Figma, attaching my enrollment proof and all the required documents. Within a day, I received a response confirming that my account had been successfully verified.
Although the initial process was difficult, I truly appreciate how quickly they resolved the issue once I provided the necessary proof. I am very thankful and grateful for their prompt assistance in the end.

I had difficulty with the website allowing me to upload my credentials. I sent a message to the customer support and they sent an email and allowed me to send via email. I received a response quickly and was able to receive approval quickly. I have used this site multiple times through the years without a problem.

Worst customer experience I have had in a while.
I applied for their education status as a professor… they have ignored all my requests for a status update or information. I am guessing my application was rejected but they haven’t said why. Why would I use this tool or recommend it?

When you contact the customer service, they do respond back within a day, so that part is very good. It is real human too, not generic AI generated email format. Now... reason for me to contact them in first place... Google was offering Gemini Pro for free to students for one year. I love it when big companies do things like this to give back to the community. And I happened to qualify this time. I tried it in their site entering all the correct info about me, school, all that... they couldn't verify. So I wrote them a note telling them again my school name , student id number Wanting to get Gemini student promo. still say they couldn't verify.
Now I'm beginning to think that they are not really verifying anything. I even went national clearing housing place to get the official verification document, along with my class schedule for current term, gave them my gmail email account, and school .edu email account. I got the reply like this.

And then I saw it. "Red" It was AI that is responding back to me, there is no human looking in to my case. Do anyone got this deal? is this what the way the big companies do to look good to public? students free! so all the non student people will be impressed, but few percentage of people who actually apply then they hide behind this AI ran 3rd party company? I went ahead and signed up as paid customer with OpenAI. It's too bad, because when using the free version, I was leaning toward Gemini, because to me it felt more natural. I hate you Red the AI chat bot from SheerID, for making me waste my time for nothing.
*I genuinely hate company's with bad customer service or NO Customer Support.

insane verification process
SheerID made the verification extremely unnecessarily difficult. I tried 5 different documents and got rejected. I wasn't even successful with manual verification until I tried 3 documents. That's insane. I gave 2 stars because at least they didn't take too long to reply to my emails.
