A quick and precise explanation about how to sort out my issue.

Surprising score. I worked in the UK when I got some shares by default due to a privatisation (I did not buy those shares).
I moved to Australia, and after 17 years, looked into updating my international financial state.

I decided to get rid of those default shares but it is proving so much harder than thought, and may greatly reduce the benefits. From splitting initiating companies, changing address in OZ, trying to getting share certificate to calling them from Australia (no free toll number), to the online registration nightmare with their verification partner Nexis Lexis which doesn't work! it is clearly a 1 star rating deserved.

It has been a struggle and very draining with the time difference and the indifferent robots i got lucky to speak to on the phone. We have all experienced that by now, right?

So, having moved to OZ, I cannot sell online, need certificate of shares to sell locally. Getting a "replacement" certificate by mail only (I never got the original), will get slugged GBP75 for 'lost' doc.
i need online access to update address first, but verification fails...loop...loop...

I was told I would received a new link to iron out the verification from Nexis Lexis...but no link received so far...

Didn’t really help. I wanted to know if Grant of Probate had been registered but they said no it takes 10 days. I said it was longer than that. I also said it’s difficult to get the other executor to sign things as she lives two hours away but that was just ignored.

It is not in my language. I don´t understand many words.
It is not userfriendly for international people.

Everything went wrong. To waiting 14 days for verification from Lexis Nexis. To a complaint never logged online. To their website confirming that I could make a trade online as I live in Ireland. They state clearly a trade online is available to Irish, German and Austrian residents. To completing all information online only after to be told, I could not...BECAUSE I lived outside the UK! Lovely. Staff later stated this is a "glitch" in their system. Add to that the trade was completed in Stg. I gave a Stg account. I could have given a Euro AC so now I have to recieve Euros into a Stg AC - transfer charges more incompetence. I was never asked. So finally due to the "glitch" I had to call a UK no to be told I may have to verify again, even after I had already waited 2 weeks and was already verified. The whole experience in 35 years working in financial services was quite literally the worst I have ever experienced. I have 2 complaints in with the Share view. It will be interesting to see how they are dealt with. Shocking experience.

Hello, I would like to share my experience with James Bloxham . After 5 times send my verification call Center to India , level of knowledge and clarity I was very disappointed. They lack same level of training as person in uk . I explain my problem to James , found him with care , knowledgeable, explain in depth and very practical. Found him very polite.James solve all my concern issues. As Lord Suger from Apprentice would say I need 10000 James in my company. James deserve a VERY BIG PROMOTION ?
