Alex and Jacob were very professional and helpful. The sofa and chairs were set up and placed in the living room with care and the whole process was super efficient.

I was served by Ukeme who was very helpful when we were looking for a new three piece. He showed us a big selection and also priced them individually. He is a credit to your company.

Surry was a great help in choosing the perfect sofa. She checked in once I'd obtained my quote and went through all options available. Lovely lady and a great asset to SCS. I will definitley be coming back at a later date to choose my next peice of furniture.

The delivery drivers kept in touch with the delivery time, they were fast, precise and clean, good communication all round

Honestly I heard all good about them and decided to buy a sofa from them. We paid £2612 for sofa we choose and after 4-5 weeks we received phone call that they can’t manufacture what they sold us. We tried to have a look alternative but didn’t like any others so we asked for refund. It’s been 7 weeks since then and we still haven’t received our refund constantly chasing them on phone visiting store and always same circuit of assurance it’s in process and should receive it next week. They left us without without receiving sofa and refund to look elsewhere and afford to buy . Stay away

Attentive staff but not pushy. Knowledgeable about products and leathers. Whilst the wait was somewhat long, delivered ahead of schedule and at the agreed time, no delays; worth the wait

I had a horrible experience at ScS West Thurrock. I deeply regret parting with my money, and I recommend that others go elsewhere. They were dismissive of my reasonable requests as a customer, miscommunicated at every stage, left me with a product that I ultimately didn’t want, and having paid £100s more than I needed to.

Here’s what happened:
- I visited the store shortly after Black Friday sales ended (December). Several staff members surrounded me and were being enthusiastic. It was a bit much, and I could’ve done with a bit of space, but I thought they were just doing what they were told and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I selected a colour and style, while surrounded by several staff members.
- as soon as I sat down to sign the purchase agreement, they all disappeared. I was then dealing with a cold and abrupt staff member (possibly a manager). I requested an April delivery date (note - that means there were 4+ months between my ordering and delivery. I paid a deposit upfront, and didn’t purchase the sofas on finance.
- no more than two days later, I returned to the store, as I realised I’d signed for the wrong colour (with all the pressure and noise of all the staff members around me). I wanted a different colour, and as the delivery wasn’t scheduled for another 4+ months, I thought I had time to change it. The manager there (I didn’t catch her name - a short, possibly south Asian female) shut me down immediately. She was so rude - told me it’s too late, impossible, and I’m getting what I signed for. It had only been 2 days. I got none of the enthusiastic service or kindness that they put on when they were trying to sell - as a customer who had already paid, I was worthless to them and felt like I really put my money in the wrong place.
- delivery was an absolute farce. They turned up, didn’t attempt to even bring anything into my home. They just told me the staircase was too narrow after one look at it (I’d already paid £100 for delivery), and that I’d have to either pay £140 for disassembly and reassembling, or they would leave the sofas outside and leave.
- I had to chase for a redelivery date where I was under the impression that the sofas would arrive disassembled, so they would fit into my staircase. I didn’t know this would result in a redelivery fee of £100 - no one told me this. To add insult to injury, the sofas once again arrived assembled. Out of desperation, and to avoid another delivery fee, I agreed to the disassembly fee of another £140 which I had to pay to the contractor on the spot. I felt taken advantage of and desperate. In total, delivery costs came to £340.
- the delivery contractor told me himself that people often change the colours once they’ve ordered (which I wasn’t allowed to do). He also told me that sofas often arrive assembled, meaning they can’t get into people’s houses, and the company then gets to charge a disassembly and/or redelivery fee. I suffered all of these things.

I was treated with contempt and disrespect throughout. I was shut down the second I asked for a colour change (she was so rude and treated me like I’m stupid), and I was hit with unexpected steep delivery fees with no communication.

avoid this place at all costs. Go somewhere more reliable so you don’t end up in this situation.

I ordered the sofa on 26/4/2025 and was told it will take 10 days. It’s now over a month, no sofa and no explanation of where the sofa l paid for today! 4/6/2025.

On entering the store if felt very calm and well organised. Staff were easily spotted due to their uniform which was different to other furniture stores. We were greeted by Surry who was very polite and helpful. We decided to buy furniture and Surry wasn’t pushy but was polite, quick and helpful re colours, recliner information, delivery and payments. Would definitely recommend this store thank you

5 hours late on delivery, drivers were difficult to understand on phone and whilst conversing on a busy road. Had to chase for updates.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ‼️‼️ I’ve never seen a business so dodgy.
Our sofa was supposed to come after 8 weeks and it’s been 15 weeks and they won’t let us cancel or give us a refund “because it’s been delivered to the distribution centre”… still not delivered to our home though? (Not that I could track it since the tracking doesn’t work.)
They said the sofa manufacturer has delayed everyone. Then they said they won’t refund because it’s not the sofa that’s delayed it’s the cushions… so which one is it? Still not received either one.
So tracking your order doesn’t work. Customer service number doesn’t work and when it does they direct you from store to head office to store to head office. Buy from literally anywhere else, and if you don’t believe me check the SCS complaints facebook group with 11k people in it and 8 complaints/day.

We have never brought furniture from a company that was a pleasure to do business with. The salesman went above and beyond when assisting us with our purchase. He knew so much, answered every question we had and nothing was too much trouble. His knowledge of the furniture was amazing and we were more than happy to buy our living room furniture from ScS. We left the store confident in the purchase we made.

Appalling service. Severely overdue delivery. No response to telephone calls or emails. Online tracking date is very overdue. In complete limbo as to when our sofa will be delivered.
