Excellent service all round from the show room to the delivery. communication ( text messages, emails, telephone calls )enabled a structured professional delivery from two friendly delivery guys.

disgusting bunch of people completely conned an old lady. my 82 year old mother went into the Stockport branch on 21/10/20 and saw a double recliner settee she liked and unfortunately got persuaded to buy it whilst she was there rather than discussing it with anyone. the girl who sold it to her promised all whistles and bells but the main thing she promised was delivery before Christmas.(which they are still advertising) she asked mum if she wanted a fabric care kit at £49 and a fabric warranty at £50, both of which mum refused. she then passed mum over to a man who did all the computer work and took mums payment IN FULL.
she went in yesterday to check delivery and was told it was the end of January.
I have looked at the receipt today and found that everything they have told her is different on the invoice, including £159 for fabric care and warranty, £30 arrangement fee, Structural upgrade fabric £50? £129 delivery. i went into the shop with her today and spoke to the manager. as usual there wasn't a single customer in the shop. i asked him about pre Christmas delivery, didn't even bring the rest up but he refused to deal with it. he said "he knows" that neither the sales girl or favinder told her she could have it before Christmas even though he wasn't there because he trained them and they wouldn't do that! it is probably the only sale they've made this year so they are going to say whatever gets them commission. i then brought up the extra charges which he refused to deal with. i told him we would like to cancel for a full refund which he refused so mum said she would take the one in the store which he also refused.
this is a recliner and mum needs it for guests on Christmas eve because she wants to sleep on it and give them her bed. there is no way she would ever have bought it, especially paying full price on the day, if they had told her she couldn't have it until next year. i asked the manager, who didn't give me his name, for his area managers details which he refused saying it was his shop and what he says goes. i asked him several times and he kept refusing. i told him i would take this to trading standards as they have taken advantage of and mis-lead an elderly lady on a mobility scooter and he said go ahead. i also told him i would take this to scs head office, social media and Martin Lewis because he loves to expose rogue companies.
looking on scs website they only have 2 stars, which doesn't surprise me. i just wish mum had come to me first, i wouldn't of let her in that dreadful shop. and why do all the staff wear ridiculous butchers aprons?
UPDATE this settee was supposed to be delivered today as per a phone call they made to her last week, IT HASN'T ARRIVED AND IT'S 19.43

Appalling customer service, missed deadlines for delivery on numerous occasions, Did not return phone calls, gave dates and times for delivery and did not turn up. Then only partial delivery when eventually received. If we could have cancelled our order we would have done, I would not recommend ordering furniture from this company.

The two gentlemen were polite, professional and respectful, they worked hard and together, all the packaging was removed and taken away, bonus.
Everything checked to make sure the recliners were working, they deserve ten stars,

I ordered a sofa in September and went into store today to ask for a print out of my order. I discovered that the wrong colour had been ordered by the sales person. The manager just blamed me totally and said I should have checked the order and changed it within 48 hours. I had stupidly trusted the salesperson to press the correct colour and material. I have had a bereavement to deal with and my mind was not focused on double checking the colour. I just trusted that this would have been correctly submitted by the staff member. But it was not and now I have to have the sofa in the wrong colour and wrong material or pay 30% of the total cost to cancel. The manager was not even apologetic and I was so upset. Make sure when you go in the store that you double check everything as clearly staff mistakes are not accepted by the company and the staff error has been forwarded to me. I would never, ever buy anything from SCS again.

As you can see, there is still no acknowledgement from SCS that it was their mistake. Even though it was. Lynsey also stated that they advise all customers to check for their mistakes. This is untrue. I was told that the 48 hours was for if we changed our minds about anything. It is also worth noting that SCS have no cancellation policy, only an amendment policy. Please think twice before signing any contract with SCS.
Also Lynsey stated that I could call the store if I have any more queries. I contacted the store on three occasions and all the manager could do was to reiterate that it was my fault for not checking the document. I will again state that I stupidly trusted the staff to input the correct order for me.
It is impossible to contact anyone to make a formal complaint until the sofa is in your possession. This is really unacceptable.

Great sofa, sales team do a great job with minimal hassle. Delivery team not so great, marked walls and woodwork in my hallway and door arches. I've now got to repaint just for having a sofa delivered

Great service from start to finish. Barbara in the Stockport store was really helpful and friendly as were all the staff we came into contact with. Plenty of choice of sofa designs, fabrics & colours. Sofa arrived 1 week earlier than originally quoted which was superb. Regular contact close to delivery date and time was invaluable - loved tracking the delivery on the link I was sent on the day. Both delivery guys, Josh & Harry, were brilliant; efficient, quick & friendly. Overall a pleasurable and trouble free experience. Thanks SCS.

My new sofas came a little earlier than the original due date which was great. The delivery crew Mervyn and Michael kept us updated with the delivery slot and turned up bang on time. The lads were brilliant and set up the sofas where we wanted then with no fuss. 10/10 from the sales team through to the delivery team.

Sales guy was a little over bearing, clearly wanted the sale, orders need to be joined up if coming from different manufacturers as multiple texts and arrangements had to be changed a couple of times, when you ring up re delivery the wait time is ridiculous, over an hour, but when you get through staff helpful

First time ordering with SCS and can honestly say I won’t be making any future purchases. The lack of customer service and arrogance from staff when trying to get an update is shocking. I went into the Stockport store 19th July and was told delivery time is 8-10 weeks. Went back in the next day to complete the paperwork and placed the order and on that day it was showing as expected on 19th October. About 2 months later I used the online tracking service which was showing 24th October, I rang the store to query this and then I was told it’s 2 weeks either side of the original date given. I tried checking online again and they haven’t been able to locate the order for a few days. So I rang the store and the man reluctantly took my order number and then said it’s due to arrive at the end of October/beginning of November. I tried expressing my concerns and experience as a customer and he kept shutting me down, I found him to be very rude, arrogant and dismissive. He then said your paperwork clearly stated 24th October and it’s accurate. I said you just told me it’s end of October/beginning of November he then tried brushing it off by saying you’ll receive a confirmation of the delivery date in the next 7-10 days. I told him I wasn’t trying to argue, all I wanted was to gain some clarity and wasn’t happy the date kept changing. He was not interested in hearing me out at all and kept speaking over me. Really disgusted by the experience and attitude of the arrogant staff!! It’s killed off any excitement that I had about receiving my new furniture

Shop sales was great , very helpful sales guy , delivery was ok but our Oder got spilt in 2 but it was ok and you have to except that some time things don't always go to plan
