Went for drinks with my friend last night at The Champion on Wells St, near Oxford St, London.
It was a really lovely atmosphere and very friendly, polite staff. My friend and I couldn't believe how shiny and sparkling the wine glasses were and the girl behind the bar - Danielle - takes so much pride in polishing them. Really a lovely evening.

You need to get with the times, we live In Speke and we are crying out for a venue that offers Sky sports, food, entertainment we don’t need detox venues as there are far to few places that can walk to and have a great night out please move with the times because your model is so out of date 😥😥

I oredered organic perry online Monday evening, and it arrived Wedenesday afternoon. The quality is fantastic. Love it and will be ordering more. Best of all, it's got no sulphites in it. Thank you!

Samuel smith pubs are a dump and would never ever step foot in one again. Especially after watching Joe Lycett on channel 4.

Well I was really able to leave only 1 review on a review page and not Trust pilot and not a second third review well "shame" what a restriction that states and mentions taking real time Digital camera or really using roll film red light development cameras from real proper dealers so no built in ones Phone related.

The pubs are brilliant, the beers are of the highest quality. But sadly the brewery staff are very poor. I've recently been in touch several times about my local Sam Smiths pub and all they do is ignore me. There's 100s of admin staff and not one of them has the decency to return an email. The top brass have such strange ideas, they close pubs for no reason that are making money, then they call themselves business men. Multi millionaires yes, business men definitely not.

Dreadful, unfriendly and only frequent by the sort of person you are worried would murder you and your children

This pub is clearly in denial. The owners expect everyone to be aware of the "no phone" rule before you even enter. We entered the pub to be greeted by sour faces staring back at us. I went to the toilet while my boyfriend sat at a table. While I was gone, he took out his phone. The owner came rushing over to demand he put his phone away, and made us aware of the sad looking A4 piece of paper which stated his
"policy". My boyfriend apologised and put it away. Also remember we have never been in this pub before, as we are from Barnsley. The regulars obviously found this amusing, as we were the centre of attention during our short stay. When I came back, l sat across my boyfriend, which just so happened to have my back to the bar. As my boyfriend got us our drinks, the owner accused me of being on my phone. I wasn't.
I was staring at the grim looking wallpaper as I pretended not to notice the other customers staring at me in amusement.
As we sat drinking our pints, the owners would look over to us, to check we weren't on our phones. I believe this is because we are in our twenties, the demographic of his customers was very clear. Older people who despised technology and anyone under 40.
I had later left a Google review, which they replied spilling lies about us being told of multiple times. This wasn't true. The owner also made the point that we were sat across his
"sign" but unfortunately, I don't go into a pub and start reading all the posters.
I believe if the owner had greeted us appropriately, and explained the policy before jumping to conclusions, I wouldn't be writing this review.
Not all young people sit glued to their phones. So please educate yourself before making accusations and immediately pass judgement.

What an appalling scene i witnessed today. The poor staff of that pub work their bodies to the bone ,yet the so called managers of the pub are really trying to shut the pub(i actually herd her say it to the member of staff) .
The pub is a local hub for friendly people of the village, the managers of the pub took it over and are woefully un-qualified and actively hate the people who drink there. Bare in mind the staff do all the work, the managers put little effort into the place and the staff member is repeatedly telling them that the customers are complaining about the beer because the lines are not being cleaned enough. The beer is cloudy and flat .The manager shouted at the staff member bullying her in public and she is telling the staff that "they" have to pay for the beer the customers are bringing back .This is disgusting behaviour from the manager and if Samuel smiths brewery condone this they should be ashamed. The managers don't even occupy he pub they are managing...they pop in twice a week and do absolutely nothing to mix with the local people, who i may say have been going to that pub for decades, many are elderly and rely on that pub for social contact and i quote the managers stance on this" i do not care about anyone who drinks there".
The staff are all local people who care and look after the lovely people who drink there and it is breaking their heart that the managers take this approach to what is their lively-hood and their community.
samuel smiths was and should be better than this, the bullying and mental torment of the staff is unforgivable, the contempt for the old and new customers is disgusting.
Once again i must stress it is not the staff, they are wonderful and community minded and working under a bullying manageress.
Samuel smiths brewery i expect you to do something about this situation, you should be ashamed .

Been to a Samuel smith pub in York. Pub was lovely. I sent a what’s app message on my phone and barmaid said no technology to be used in the pub. Fair enough. I get they want to go back to old fashioned values and that’s fine. However, when I came to pay they were happy enough to get there card reader out and take payment.
So you can’t use technology to send a message but it’s ok to keep the business going.
I feel that’s double standards.

Been a Sam’s customer for years in London and the North. just had the worst experience in the Red Bear Sherburn in Elmet.
Flat beer, still much less than a pint in the glass and very very poor staff and management,. Blaming the brewery owner for the reason for the dreadful service ! That’s a first for me!

This brewery and pub chain is owned by a backwards tyrant who imposes mind-bogglingly restrictive rules on the pubs he owns. No phones? No dogs? No children? They only recently started accepting debit cards. The poor managers do the best they can with a bad situation, but their ventures are always doomed to failure due to the horrible owners. Also the beer and wine are all pretty dreadful.

Albeit, 1987. Despite over thousand petitional signatures advising I never started nor caused, any warranted difficulties. Having being advised, I knocked some drunken fool, whom hit me in the face with a chair out, I was banned from Middlesbroughs, Master Cooper.

3 years later, 1990, for having the temerity to forwarn I had been trained in Wado Ryu Karate & Atemi Aiki(do) Ju Jitsu, an assistant manager whom then threatened me for complaining aboutvrepeated removals of undished drinks then going to toilet.

No doubt Trust(less) Pilot shall cond escend & mandate a proof of purchase.

Nice pubs. Shame about clientelle & management in both pubs & brewary. Unlike Ayinger Brow lager. Their bitter. Swamp water. How fortunate I was then, thanks to Misserableboros, Corruptland Polis. Sleazeside. Relocating to inverDrinkenMESS. Scottish & Newcastle brewaries as served in Weatherfools, Kings hwy or should have were it not for, inverDrunkenINCAPABLESjunkyDISFUNCTIONALS. Astonishingly. They too sold swamp water. Albeit, Greene King. It shall. Next yr be a quater of a century since I had the pleasure of Ayinger Brau & displeasure of Sam Smiths, Swamp Water. Worst of the worst by far. One star. Far to many!

Called into the Murenger pub. The best brewery bitter tasted like vinegar. The worst pint ever had. When complained the staff were very rude saying that if It tasted like that then tuff.

As a relatively 'new' businessperson to North Yorkshire, I am truly appalled at the social damage that this disgusting entity seems to be perpetrating. I'm truly amazed at how many decent people have so many negative things to say.

The old duffer who owns these pubs is SO intransigent….he’s prepared to let great premises go to rack and ruin rather than provide what the customers want.

- It’s 2024. I love talking with people but I also need to earn a living. (To enable me to drink in your pubs!!) Therefore I need premises that allow me to use my devices while I’m out and about. Your *ridiculous* “no device” rule in INSANE! ESPECIALLY as you’re more than happy for people to use their phones to PAY!!!!!

- If I’m on my own in a pub….i want to look at my phone. I also may also want to talk with my partner who I haven’t seen all week because I work away.

- Your policies are divisive, destructive and downright narrow minded and anti-customer. What is it, in your DNA, that makes you so stubborn, intransigent and resistant to change???

- I’m sitting in one of your pubs now…..quietly on my phone while other loudmouths in the pub are shouting the place down?!! How is that fair?

Samuel smith has no care for his staff, flaunts health and safety standards.
Samuel smith and his legal team from wardhadaway solicitors are complicit in covering up dishonesty,data breach and fraud.
We were provided PRIVELAGED INFORMATION in a data breach by Samuel Smith shows clearly in documents both Samuel smith and their solicitors had also been dishonest to the ICO.
consiquenses were LIFE CHANGING.My condition PTSD judge agreed was probably caused by the way I was treated.
He won't take responsibility for failures and puts blame onto staff.
