My gate way stopped working after I changed internet suppliers and I thought that I was doomed to not have control over my heating schedule. A few emails and a new device posted out to me for free and boom I’m back in control.
Thermostat had stopped working. Dealt with a tech support staff member called Joseph who was exceedingly helpful. Device was still in warranty and new thermostst sent out within 2 days. No fuss whatsoever and top service.
I enquired about purchasing a wall bracket for my thermostat control and was sent one free within a couple of days. Wonderful service.
Took a little while to get back to me but once they did they resolved the issue promptly.
Great support from Joe, the Salus team came back quickly and went beyond their remit to help me with a self inflicted problem.
Superb customer service which sadly is slowly disappearing from a lot of companies. Salus Controls were really helpful, quick to respond and kindly sent out a new product FOC for a faulty one. Thank you so much!
The customer service from Salus is superb. We had initial issues when installed some 4 or 5 years back now and they sent the rep round who resolved the issue.
Last week we had virgin full fibre installed and apparently no smart thermostats work with the router due to the speed of the router. We raised a ticket on the Salus website and not only did they give advice but also sent links to enable us to easily resolve the issue and get the gateway working again.

UPDATE - Salus fixed my issues really quickly and all it was was the receiver had stopped working and they sent a replacement within a couple of days, so fair play and good customer service. salus system back up and running !
So put in the SALUS IT500 in early January, initially worked fine then after about the week then app said it was offline (WiFi in the house was fine) so I took the batteries out and put them back in and voila the system came back on. All was ok for 3 weeks and the same happened again only this time I was away, so was hoping we didn't get freezing conditions and that the frost stat would do the job, got back home same thing , batteries out and full reset and it worked again. Fast forward to this weekend and the 3rd time it's happened on a 6 week period. I have zero faith in this app and will be having it taken out and replaced with a new heating application. Just a complete waste of money!

I have two reviews before this one, both about the worst product I have ever bought (The Salus IT 500)
I am writing this time to sing it's praises !!!
The last two weeks it's been a pleasure to be able to use the controller (working as it should)
After over a year of abysmal service it seems that Salus has finally listened to the majority of the people who bought one and finally updated the software (or deleted the the update that caused the problem originally.
I have my fingers crossed, that that it now works as it did when I originally installed it.
I give it five stars as it is the the simplest Internet thermostat to use and now it is operating as it should, I would most certainly recommend it to anyone in need of the best Internet thermostat available.

Amazing support and great product
Very efficient and professional staff online. Isolated incident which was complicated and sent new router in post immediately to rectify the problem. These machines are complicated due to smart technology but my advisor couldn't have been more helpful.
Our power adapter stopped working. I contacted support asking how I could buy a replacement. They took my address and sent one straight out to me without charge and it came the next day.

When there is a system online communications difficulty when something goes wrong at my end there is always a quick and helpful response for a fix
After a huge amount of time on Google/You Tube looking for help/advice on pairing my Salus thermostat with my receiver I was about to give up and have them replaced (assuming they were faulty).
I decided on a last minute email to Salus tech support and was surprised to receive a response within 15 minutes from a chap called Joseph.
I followed his instructions (which I have to say were slightly different to anything I’d seen on the internet) and to my surprise my devices paired on the first attempt.

We had a new boiler installed by HUG a couple of years and they also installed the Salus controller and thermostat.
I'm not going to waste my time writing a lengthy review but suffice to say IT'S USELESS.
UPDATE: Salus are saying get in touch with their technical support. How? There's no telephone contact number on their website.
We've emailed them but had no reply. How can you give proper help via emails anyway?
The help thing is one of those automated answering things.
We've tried everything suggested on their site.
Salus App is permanently buffered. We've deleted the app and reinstalled. Replaced batteries. Disconnected the transmitter from the router and reconnected after 15 minutes.
The only thing we haven't tried is sacrificing an animal to the pagan gods.

Had a problem could not get the app on my phone to operate the thermostat remotely. After an online chat with Joseph in service department the problem was fixed
I have been using my Salus it500 remote thermostat through my mobile phone app for a few years now without any problems. Until I recently changed my broadband supply to Virgin full fibre connection with a Virgin 5X router. Since upgrading my router to super fast full fibre my Salus heating app failed to work as the new 5x full fibre router was way to fast for my old Salus set up. I contacted Salus help to see what they advised. Initially their responce was that they knew of the problem but could not help me unless I upgraded my Salus equipment, which I reluctantly accepted. But then to my surprise about a week later they followed up by emailing me with a 'fix' to get my set up working again, which I have know implemented and my set up is fully working again.. Massive thumbs up from me for not only fixing my issue but also to then getting back to me to let me know about the fix. Thank you so much..
