Top Class product. I have been using apps and system for over 5 years. Top Class App. Easy to use and schedule your heating to turn on just before the kids get home. They also have Top Class after sales service, responding to emails in 1 or 2hrs.

Bought a Salus wireless control unit for my central heating system that is absolutely useless.
Unless it’s within a metre of the receiver it simply does not work. The reaction time for the temperature thermostat is also not good. It takes ages to recognise temperature. If I close the door to the kitchen the receiver unit simply switches itself on even though the transmitter is sending an off signal. Lost utter patience with it. And yes brand new Duracell batteries etc and all aspects of the installation advice heeded. My recommendation is to spend more money on a decent unit.

We have had one of these things for about 10 years now. We have never been happy with it .
Trying to reprogamme is an absolute nightmare - it has taken 2 hours to get something which vaguely resembles what we need . We only want 1 'on' time each day for 7 days per week and 1 'off' time for 7 days per week.Seems even this simple set up is unachieveble with this load of junk. AVOID

Even though I had my Salus iT500 system for 8 or 9 years when my gateway packed up I spoke to them and they sent a free one on next day delivery.

An email to Salus & a prompt reply at the earliest opportunity & a relay of emails through the day produced diagnosis of the device requiring replacement. I have been thrilled to receive the replacement by next day which is working satisfactorily, as should. Thank you Salus.
There was no drama or tantrums at the crisis, only quick action by Salus.

I had a Salus wireless thermostat that worked perfectly for more than five years. Then, recently, the screen started to freeze. I followed some of the troubleshooting advice, which provided only a temporary resolution. So, I contacted Salus technical support online. After explaining the problem and my attempts to fix it they offered to replace the thermostat for free despite it being outside the warranty period. The replacement arrived the next day and is working fine. Top marks to Salus.

Contacted tech support and after sending a photo of the unit, they confirmed that it was still within warranty and sent us a new unit. Three months in and were still on the batteries that came in the box. Great customer service!

The system worked until we changed internet supplier. Since then we have not had the use of the boost feature. This is the most useful feature and in spite of deleting the app and going from a standing start, we cannot get ‘boost’ to work. Have tried everything that we can think of. The system must be easier to set up and operate than it is at the moment.

Comes on or go's off wasting money
Our gas charge is more units with a new boiler than our old 15 year old one
I'm changing this junk as soon as I can ,even if it costs an engineer and new Control unit I'll be saving money.
If these controls are to be installed as part of a new boiler package insist

The instructions given with thermostats and receivers are not fit for purpose. The pairing process does not work if following what is written in the “quick guide”. Nb. There are no complete instructions available anywhere; the “quick guide” is it.

Once again, Salus saved the day (literally). Sent an email and the response was excelant, speedy and sorted the issue online. First class and no hesitations, and complex things explained. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

The online bot for customer support doesn't get you very far but once in the queue for Tech Support our internet thermostat receiver problem was sorted with a couple of emails.
I ordered the RT510RF. I had a technician install it, they could not get it to successfully pair. I tried and could not get it to successfully pair (I'm an Engineer). In total we had tried 10 times to successfully pair. I reached out to Salus who asked me to video the process I did, they told me I did not wait long enough before switching the on/off control quickly after switching the boiler control (this is not in the set-up instructions) noted by salus. Multiple e-mails after the last week with moving goalposts and demands to video again and again I decided to work out how much of my time had been wasted with pairing attempts and multiple e-mails daily this ran into almost £200 in wasted time. Therefore, I took the decision to "cut my losses" and buy a Honeywell Home DT4R at an additional £74.89 which was a saving on the money I had wasted dealing with the awful Salus Technical Services. I had it fitted and fully functional in 1 hr and contacted the seller of the Salus for a refund on the faulty product. I would not recommend these products or the service to anyone, I would advise spend the extra £20 for another brand.

Was having problems with a salus thermostat. Decided to give them a call.
Spoke to Steve from technical. Steve was very helpful . Managed to get the salus control working again. After today's experience I would not hesitate to recommend salus controls.
