The bed and bedside tables we have received are beautiful. Exactly as seen on the website. They are solid and excellently made. The instructions for putting the bed together were never and simple and very quick to put up.
I can't fault the excellent customer service we have received. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have bent over backwards to support our dates and timescales. They have been flexible and very friendly.
This is a wonderful company making amazing products at a great price with excellent and friendly customer service.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and its products.

I recently ordered a king-sized bed from Rustic Roots, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The bed was delivered much quicker than promised, which was a lovely surprise. The quality is excellent — beautifully made, sturdy, and exactly what I was hoping for from reclaimed timber furniture. The delivery men were also polite, efficient, and professional, which made the whole process even smoother. Ordered a king size rustic farmhouse bedframe, made some personalised adjustments added to the order.
The guys at Rustic roots were so helpful, responded to messages quickly, gave prompt feedback to requests. Delivery was smooth, kept up to date of times etc. Bed was easy to put together and came better than expected.

I’m over the moon about our new bed from Rustic Roots. It’s customised exactly as I wanted to allow for my husband’s reduced mobility and it looks stunning. It is so sturdy and well made and I love the way that the character of the wood has been kept. I’m also glad that I paid the very small extra cost to have it assembled, because it was done so quickly. It has lifted the look of the whole room. Very glad I also got the under bed storage boxes which are extremely sturdy. It’s a world of difference from mass-produced furniture with not a huge price differential, if any.

Our fault we didn’t realise the instructions were online but managed to get bed together easily. The bed is gorgeous and exactly what we wanted.

Ordered a bed from Rustic roots and all I can say is WOW 👌. Apart from it being really heavy it was easy to put together but definitely a two man job . Looks amazing and so unique with the imperfections of the wood . Its like it's got a story to tell.

The bed itself seems mostly solid and I like the look of it. It was easy enough and not too expensive to get the customisation I'd wanted. Delivery time was roughly as advertised. Communication was fine mostly - not super responsive, though I'm not great at that on my side so there's limits to how much I'm bothered by it.
I don't think the number of slats is really enough for a pocket sprung mattress, and the gap is larger than most sources I have found seem to recommend. I have requested more slats from the company.
My main issue is I'm very disappointed by the construction process. For the cost and given the description, I'd expected it to be easier. All told it took two people (one fairly experienced at DIY, one not) about 5 hours and quite a lot of effort to put it together.
I'm skeptical about the assertion that no pilot holes are needed (in the instructions and when I queried with the company). We had quite a struggle getting those screws into the wood even with pilot holes - certainly don't reckon it would have been possible without. In some cases we had to switch out for screws that cut a bit better. Some of the wood felt like it may have had resin in it - it needed a lot of force even to get the drill bit through it.
I would have also been concerned about the wood splitting in some places without pilot holes - there were places where the brackets lined up very close to the edge of the wood, even being on the rounded edge of the bedpost. There was also some splitting of the wood that the bed slats sit on, possibly for this reason.
Excepting the slats issue I'm not on the whole dissatisfied with the bed itself so if you enjoy your DIY and have a different sort of mattress, knock yourself out, but personally if I'd fully realised about the build process I would likely have bought from somewhere else. My request to the company would be to at least put in pilot holes (and countersinks on the slats) in the right places. Better still would be a fixture that allows you to just hook on the side rails and tighten them in (as was the case for my previous bed).

Ordered a double bed and what an amazing bed it is. The pictures dont do it justice. The bed is superbly made. The craftsmanship second to none. You will not be disappointed buying from rustic roots. The delivery driver was very polite and called before delivery as promised. If your looking for quality hand built furnature do yourself a big favour and give them a call.

The bed i ordered with extra headboard height is sturdy and cries out rustic style. Completely worth the money and such equivalent quality would cost vastly more with many other similar furniture companies purporting to be rustic. Each individual post and plank has an individual like and story to tell.
