Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware: Excellent Data & Research, But Only More Pay For Support Once You're Manufacturing
A friend invested in Ritz Momentum's services for Amazon FBA product research and development. They delivered solid market analysis, keyword opportunities, customer feedback insights, and even helped design a competitive product with IP elements that seemed ready to go. Their data-driven approach (using tools like Amazon Brand Analytics and Opportunity Explorer) really shines—they spot high-demand, low-competition niches and provide projections that look promising on paper.
The problem? Their expertise ends the moment you pay and take the product files/designs into your own hands. They have no real-world manufacturing experience, and their cost estimates/sourcing guidance were wildly inaccurate. Production costs, unexpected supply chain hurdles, made prototyping impossible. They never mentioned or prepared clients for the actual costs from the manufacturer. When they reached out for help with early production runs, or getting advice based on initial manufacturing costs, the responses were dependant on additional consulting fees. In the thousands of dollars.
It's clear their model is built around the upfront fee for research, validation, and product creation. After that, they have no ongoing financial stake in whether your product succeeds or flops on Amazon, so follow-through is nonexistent. If you're already experienced in overseas manufacturing, sourcing suppliers, and handling all the real-world execution, this might work fine. But if you're relying on them for end-to-end guidance (as their marketing sometimes implies), you'll be left to figure it out alone—and potentially lose thousands fixing what their "guaranteed" high-profit product overlooked.
Save yourself the headache: Go with a service that offers true post-launch support or partners who understand the full supply chain, not just the analytics side. Disappointing experience overall.
