I wanted to buy a guitar, I was recommended Richtone for best deals. I had researched best option for me and my budget. Then it was a case of do the deal. All went smoothly and seamlessly, it was dispatched and arrived in two days as discussed. All packed well and when opened it was as described.

My last few purchases have been with Guitarguitar and Anderton, both of whom are spot on. Saw a PRS Tonare P20E on Rich Tone site, and did a nice trade in. All aspects excellent, I have a new supplier! delivery,packing,dealing,information and not least a superb used guitar in mint condition. Rich Tone are on my watchlist. Its hard to find online places to trust,especially with guitars, and I prefer those with real shops where experienced folk know what they are doing. I recommend Rich Tone Sheffield/Online without reservation.

Purchased a secondhand Ibanez sr 1600b from richtone music, for a great saving over the new price, in almost mint condition, with the original factory battery still fitted and functional, little to zero use. It did require a slight filing of the nut at the e string, but not much.

I sold a custom-built guitar to these guys. I was happy with the price they offered. They were extremely helpful with support through the process of shipping, which I paid for but was surprisingly cheap. Once they had assessed the guitar, payment was very rapid. I will certainly use Rich Tone music for any future transactions.

First impressions count and the packaging was the neatest and most careful I have ever seen!
The guitar itself was in superb condition, just as Rich Tone described to me over the phone.
Delivery was also very quick and the price reasonable. I’m very happy with my experience.

Unfortunately a really disappointing experience. I had an issue with a missing item and the way it was handled left me feeling very uncomfortable. A delivery driver even returned to my home days later to question it, which I didn’t feel was appropriate at all.

Customer service relied heavily on courier reports rather than listening to what I was saying, and I felt dismissed rather than supported. The whole situation caused unnecessary stress and wasn’t resolved fairly in my view.

I wouldn’t use this company again based on how this was handled.

What a great shop, please use this shop and online store for the great prices and customer services.

My second-hand Yamaha Revstar was almost pristine and perfectly accurate assessment from the team.

Very happy so use these guys!! You even get limited warranty on used guitars so why wouldn't you use them, and some of the best prices I see online let alone in the shops.

Just sold Rich Tone my Gibson J-200. The whole experience was superb. I emailed them details and some photographs, they gave me a purchase price and a price they intended sell it for. I drove three hours to the store, met up with Bruce who was super cool, very professional and really friendly, we made the deal which was more than fair and the money was in the bank by the time I was back home!! If only other music shops were as good as these guys. Highly recommended.

Would never shop there again I had a guitar in my hand that I was buying and the guy behind the desk took it off me as he said he had sold it to someone else whilst I was going to the till. Snidy!!!! Obviously knew them!

Made an 80 mile round trip today to trade in an SG. I wanted a nice strat and they had a few in my price range including one that I’d really fancied on their website.
Sat for an hour, strumming half a dozen guitars then finally went for the one I’d liked the look of. They didn’t pester me, give me the hard sell etc

A great price on the trade and a great deal on the Strat, excellent customer service and a fantastic range of instruments. A great chat with Richie too.

You won’t find better service and more helpful staff. They helped me choose my first instrument at a price point that cannot be compared. They guided me towards a secondhand instrument that fitted my needs rather than an instrument that was most profitable. Thanks Ritchie & Ben!

I have bought four guitars from Rich Tone Music so far and the service has been exemplary. Always knowledgeable information if I have questions and consistently friendly and helpful. All guitars arrived cleaned (and I could be wrong but it seems with a fresh set of strings) and with next day delivery. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team if you are buying a guitar. Peerless wizard Custom 2nd hand guitar was as described and in great nick. Very fair price at £499 with original case, V12 finance offered and came very well packed and delivered by Fed Ex. Cannot fault.

Maybe I got a member of staff having a bad day, I get it, it happens to the best of us. Unfortunately I got one who could barley even communicate let alone have a proper conversation. I'm also not sure why he kept referring to me as "yeah man".

To elaborate, I entered the store with a guitar to part exchange and I waited patiently at the counter for the px quote for my guitar. Although the quote was quite low I accepted it and looked at guitars in store.

After spending nearly an hour looking, playing and assessing potential new guitars I finally chose one. I handed the guitar to the assistant and said I'll take it please.

He took me to the counter asked for my address details, email, contact number all that stuff and just before asking me to pay a balance he said... Oh by the way, that guitar you bought in for px, we don't want it so we're not buying it!!!!!

Whilst I fully appreciate that it's the stores prerogative to turn down a px I don't expect it to be done in quite such a ridiculous manner. First giving me a quote, then literally watching me try guitars for nearly and hour, choose one, go to the counter, take all my details for a new sale and only then tell me your not taking in my part exchange.

A total and utter waste of my time. When I pointed out to the staff member he could have told me the situation before getting to the till and going through the motions he replied, Well I haven't rang anything into the till yet so? He completely missed the point of wasting an hour of my time via his utter lack of communication.

I placed my guitar in the case and walked out the shop without getting an apology or even a goodbye.

EDIT: judging by the reply from Richtone, they don't even read the full review, never mind.

The store wasn't busy.
I wasn't upset, I just left without an argument.
The bridge on the guitar isn't lifting.

I was so impressed with the politeness of the person I dealt with, particularly given the huge age difference between us. So many music outlets I've visited have staff that treat me like an old codger!
This was a thoroughly professional experience, and I would have no hesitation in buying or selling anything from them. Well done!
