Faulty goods
We were very pleased when we received our fantastic looking radiator valves ( Byron Thermostatic Radiator Valve Kit - Satin Nickel) this is sold as a premium product at the time we paid £81.70 for each valve. This was in our mind an investment in a top quality product that would do our high spec renovation justice and last a long time. We were deeply mistaken.
After 6 months the valves function slowly started fail one by one ( we purchased 19 in total)
The fist thing to go was the "stuck" on the on or off position.
Following this the pins would stick continually. The tops failed when on or off the pin would stick - marking the TVR function redundant.
Slowly they have rusted one by one.
Then the leaking started.
We have persevered with this inferior product, however now after 3 year of being in situ our only option is to replace all 19 - to reduce the number of times we have to keep draining our system to replace these valves.
£1500 - was a very expensive mistake for 19 valves. It appears they are happy to sell a product that although looks premium it's function is in fact extremely poor.
We are waiting to here back from SMR bathrooms - having offered to return the very poor product .

After reading the review & talking to your husband on the telephone, we have held a internal investigation to see what we could have done better relating to your comments.
The first we heard about this issue was an e-mail from yourself at 22.50pm Friday 12/06/15 & then your review 20 minutes later. Please appreciate that we did not see the e-mail or review until Monday 15/06/15. I spoke to your husband (Ewan) at 10.00am that morning to go through this issue with you.
As I said on the telephone, I don't feel this review is fair. As a company, if we don't know the issue we cannot fix it.
The problem you have is that your plumber has not put any inhibitor in your system to reduce the chance of internal corrosion in your radiators, this corrosion has created debris which is blocking your radiator valves – this is not a fault of the valves.
To help, I have had some spare cartridges flown in from our manufacturer, but unless you get your plumber to put some inhibitor in the system this will happen again.

Thrilled to bits with the high quality of the shower curtain rail.
We think the keyhole curtain rings should include one anchor ring per pack and the flange fixing screws should be 2 " long instead of 1.5".

Very Satisfied
Ordered a towel radiator for our bathroom which was delivered within two days. Found it was too big to fit in the area given and returned it to a local SMR depot who exchanged it immediately for a smaller one. Workers at depot very helpful and polite. Brilliant service and product.

RETURNS POLICY - ALL SORTED
20 MARCH 2015
Spoke with Paul Duffy the General Manager at SMR after my review. We resolved the return of the rad within a few minutes, their courier dropped off the new rad the next morning and took the other one back and I paid for the return (which I was happy to do). All sorted.
The new radiator goes on the wall next week and I'm sure it will be fine.
Happy we resolved the matter quickly and in an amicable manner.
I'll be giving SMR another go

I ordered a rad and when it came it looked too small and I rang to order a larger one and pay the difference. I thought the new rad would be delivered and the other one taken back and I would pay the extra return charge, which I was happy to do. But I was told I had to organise my own courier firm with a limited time scale. Also I would have to pay in full for the new rad and not just the difference.
I thought I would try SMR Bathrooms because we renovate alot of houses. I won't be using them again
Very disappointed with your policy.

Secondly after reading your review & then following this up with a phone call to yourself this morning I am glad we were able to resolve this challenge amicably between us.
It is company policy to charge for any replacement order due to ordering errors, followed by a full refund on original order when received back with ourselves. I am however disappointed that we did not offer you the after sales care that I expect all my staff to offer (Reference, arranging collection of original order) especially when you were more than willing to pay for said collection.
As you know, after talking this morning, we have now sorted this for you & we hope you understand & accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Your correct unit & collection of original should be with you with-in the next 24 hours.

Bought the ceiling to ceiling shower curtain rail, which was of the quality described. Good instructions and fittings. I had to email to check on delivery (hence 4 not 5 stars) but it then arrived as promised.

I order shower rail by phone and received a call from Steve the next day saying part was ready to be delivered.Received next day in perfect condition .
based on this service would defiantly use again .This was the only suppler I found to sell a 2 meter long curved shower rail .

Excellent Service
Great customer service, texts to advise when goods are to be despatched/delivered and follow up calls to ensure you are happy. This, coupled with great competitive pricing means i would definitely recommend SMR and use them again myself. All this over the Christmas period when things could get delayed, but thankfully didn't.

Chrome Towel Rail
I found the site easy to use, with a good choice of radiators. Ordering was simple and straight-forward. The radiator arrived a few days later and was left with a neighbour. Well packaged and in good order. It will be a while before I fit it into my system, but do not anticipate any problems.

Quality product
Great quality material, there's so many cheap and shoddy materials on the market we wanted something that looked great. Although we're not quite ready to fit, all items listed were supplied, and delivery on date requested. Will look lovely when we're finished.
