I think this gym is great
I think this gym is great , all staff are friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere.
Sometimes when the classes are on the music gets loud but I suppose if you’ve got good headphones that won’t bother you.
All their equipment works too my knowledge
Would definitely recommend

There arent unnecessary difficulties with puregym
In spite of demanding official tone in which the rules got framed on the website, the support member of the staff easily resolved my problem. I am content with all aspects of PureGym.

I mainly use this gym during late evenings and early mornings, and also when I’m travelling, as there is almost always a PureGym nearby.
As a second gym membership, it works very well. The gym has everything you need for a solid workout, and the 24/7 access is very convenient.
Overall, I’m satisfied with it as a budget gym and a reliable option alongside my main gym.

I’ve been with PureGym Basingstoke for over 6 years. The gym is clean, safe, and spacious, with good equipment and helpful staff. Classes are well-run and suit different fitness levels. A reliable and comfortable place to train and improve fitness.

Dirty and overcrowded
Bathroom stinks and very dirty, the gym is overcrowded at any time.

We would like to assure you that we are working alongside the contacted cleaning team and facilities management, to ensure concerns are addressed in club. We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym. Thanks, PureGym

No customer service was provided on site as there was no one to attend to my customer needs.

Paying for sports water is not worth…
Paying for sports water is not worth it. Most of the time, the machine is out of order or undergoing cooling. Sometimes, it only dispenses very concentrated juice or just water. I tried to cancel this option, but since it's 4 days before the billing date, I have to pay for it one more time, even though it's rarely available. Also, kids are using the fire exit to enter. Apart from this, it's a good gym.

Air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers.
We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. Smoking vape inside changing room

I had a simple problem which was…
I had a simple problem which was stucking my backpack into the main door. None of the staffs helped me. My backpack was torn and left that gym forever. The staffs in that gym are not friendly at all.

Whilst we understand your frustration in regard to this matter, as detailed within our gym rules which are agreed to upon membership commencement:
• Members are solely responsible for their own belongings when visiting PureGym. PureGym accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to property.

Love the gym but the under 16 attending is a problem
The staff are lovely and welcoming, majority of members who go are also friendly and welcoming and the classes are great.
The only downfall are the amount of under 16s that are going to this gym and taking up class spaces. If one of them hurts themself it will be penalty to the gym and if people chat up any of the under 16s it could lead to further issues and these under 16s are not being honest with their age.
Considering you are meant to be over 16 to join it doesn’t make sense how these under 16s are able to get in.
I don’t want this gym to close down because of these individuals getting in.
Other than this the equipment is great, it is never too busy and the new timetable looks exciting.

Yet another price rise with no warning…
Yet another price rise with no warning making it no longer a budget gym and not value for money any more especially when u have other brands of gym opening in the area for half the price and double the equipment

Dirty, messy, broken equipment gym
I had my first visit today and the gym smelt.
It needs to be aired and the equipment was all over the floor.
Three items i used were broken two rowing machines and leg press.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym.
