I was shopping in your store on Walworth Road SE17 London on Saturday 19th April. It was approximately 11am. I was shopping for some supplies for my local business which I own down the road, Barefoot Yoga studio on Browning Street. 
When I arrived at the til to pay for my items, I soon realised that I didn't have my phone to use my Apple Pay. I explained to the lady at the desk that I had had my phone stolen the night before and it had slipped my mind and I wasn't carrying my cards ( it was verbatim the truth). The lady replied " I've heard this excuse before, can I check your bag?" Mindfully, I emptied my bag, it was pretty clear that I wasn’t stealing because all of the items were laid out on the counter. I was given no apology . The woman was extremely rude and seemed to have an attitude about her, snarling and cursing at me in disgust. 

First and foremost, I was shocked that I was being asked to empty my bag but the way in which the lady spoke to me was unacceptable. I have never been excused of stealing before. I asked to speak to the manager. The lady posing as the manager did not apologise for the women's behaviour and at no point was I treated with respect or sincerity. The manager would not give me her name and she was not wearing a name tag.  I asked for the name of the General or Regional manager. She said that there wasn't a General Manager for the store and was most unhelpful. 

As a business owner who regularly shops in this store, I was appalled by the manner in which these ladies conducted themselves. I also employ staff and it is absolutely imperative that if you work in customer service that you are personable, and most importantly apologetic and humble if you get something wrong.

As I left the store, I mentioned that I would never shop from there again because I wouldn't want to be treated in this way, equally I wouldn't wish other customers to be spoken to in this way.  The assistant then replied " I hope you don't come back". I left feeling very upset and discriminated against in the most unprofessional capacity. 

What's not to like. Love the variety. Normally I like it for garden and Christmas decorations. However this time I wandered away and was well happy. Some good stuff and household bits and bobs. But most of all Jackie at Bexleyheath. What a star ⭐ seen her many times there. And her customer service never changes. Friendly, polite and down to earth. Just wish the retailer who is next to Bexleyheath store had 10 of Jackie for customer service.

She helped me as I have mobility issues at the same time as trying to stem a major flood in the shop. She really deserves a pat on the back.

Kirkwall store is dire! Woman with an undercut was smoking weed in her uniform on the street so I think that says it all really! Called her out on it for blowing smoke in a toddlers face and was told f….. offf.

Dave in our local store in frinton is always helpful and smiley. He can always be found working hard in and around the store.

Card payment accepted by terminal, staff said it wasnt accepted, so I did it again. When I got to my phone banking app, it showed I was charged twice. So went back to shop and showed my phone app. They agreed it was twice, but no explanation given. They 'did a refund' on same card, I got refund till ticket. They said it would 'take few minutes', after 15 minutes I complained and they said they had "done it right". It took 18 hours for the refund to hit my bank.

Gainsborough Store. Rosie and Sinaed amazing.
Good value in this store. Kept clean and tidy with happy staff.
Rosie and Sinaed went over and above helping me when I lost my phone. The service couldn't be better.

The 2 staff i met on my visit on Thursday the 20th was totally amazing.
Polite and friendly so helpful.
I love this store always have.
I will say the choice of products and prices are great also.

Nonce working in pound stretchers Newton Aycliffe.

SHIPLEY branch. Picked item off of shelf only to find it had been highered at the till. Obnoxious manager argued and blamed staff shortages for the issue. I am not surprised they have no staff if that's how they treat customers.

Me and my mate went in to go and get a iron bru extra and they wouldn't serve is because the wanted us to give them id because they said irn bru is a energy drink when iron bru isn't a energy drink there is a type of iron bru that is and it says iron bru energy on the can and they wouldn't serve us because they thought iron bru is a energy drink when iron bru extra isn't a energy drink and the healthiest version on iron bru and then they said that they wouldn't serve us because it had caffeine in it too when there is so many drinks that have caffeine in even coke has more caffeine and there is no restrictions from a 15 year old having caffeine and how much of it

Pound stretcher in Chingford mount the manager JB m was abrupt accusing me for burning with a flame to the hot water bottle. Refunded me after a massive argument. He was shouting took over 15 minutes to come out after naima was calling for him phoned him several times. He should no be a manager in any way he was talking to his staff very badly and bad attitude. I would never go back and will report this to head office.

I walked into the store and was immediately harassed and stalked around the shop by the store manager and the security guard. I was only on my break and had no intention of stealing their products. THIS HAPPENS EVERY WEEK!!! I am utterly disappointed and disgusted in their behaviour and will not be returning here again. This used to be my favourite shop but your behaviour has led to you losing a customer

Poundstrecher clothing seems to oddly be a law unto itself. The sizing on it all seems pretty hopeless. I nearly bought a size 11 sneaker shoe. Then realised they'd obviously been cut on templates of smaller Chinese feet when made. So the 11 probably is easily a size or more down. Then 11 is the biggest size. I'd have needed a 12 that they don't do. To fit my UK size 11 feet.

On the gloves it was a similar experience.

Worse still was my socks purchases. They're cut similarly small. The socks barely fitted me in the largest sizing. And one tore as I was pulling it up my foot, the thing was so tight. Uncomfortable to wear too. As difficult to get off my feet as they were to get on.
I will never buy their socks again.

Onto the underwear I've bought some of the largest size possible in XXL. I'm hoping these will fit me. I measured an XL one with my tape measure and it measured around a 34 inch waist. So hopefully the XXL will fit my 38 inch waist size!!!

They really need to address their clothing sizings.

Visited the Newhaven store, empty shelves, what was on the shelves the prices were all incorrect and didn’t match the items. Store members on their mobile phones whilst on the shop floor. A very unwelcoming and poorly managed store, clearly.

Appalling service tried to retun item with reciept refused sayimg item had already been returned, when initially was acanned into system by other staff with bamk statment, two failed journeys to return unwanted unused item now having to go though my bank, never will i shop there again unhelpfull manager in newport shropshire

We visited the Boston store and I had to ask if Christmas had bypassed that particular store. The response from one of the assistants was rude and unfriendly. They need to work on their customer skills and remember that it is the public that keep them employed and pay their wages
