Attended one day workshop on self build. Loads of information shared. The staff were very professional, experienced and answered all my queries with kindness.
I will be building my property in 2 years and will surely go back to Potton.

My wife and I enrolled on a live Self-build event near Norwich. the house owner was accommodating and helpful and both the Potton representatives were knowledgeable and very helpful. All in all it was a great learning experience - we all enjoyed it. The event answered many of my queries about project costs, build process, support from Potton, Air Source Heat Pumps, Air Tightness and many more.

Excellent day, packed with useful info. Great to be able to ask questions directly of people who really know what they’re talking about. Essential for anyone considering project managing a self build.

We were also very well looked after by Denise, with refreshments and a very helpful attitude!

I am so glad we made the effort to come, it was truly worth it.

Good day at the Potton site. The team were friendly and approachable. Lots of information about the do’s and don’ts of self build. We sat down for a chat with Gavin, who’s knowledge was a great help in our search for a build site.

The site looked old, there was no wow factor and the amount of cobwebs was unbelievable.

Excellent workshop, lots of interesting and informative information provided. Staff friendly, professional and you were made to feel valued.

Really good day out, plenty of good advice and the seminars were useful. Being able to look around the show houses gave us a good indication of sizes and styles. The lunch was an added bonus.

Dave was fantastic extremely knowledgeable and had a great understanding in what we are looking for especially when he had no prior knowledge of what we where looking for very professional look forward to working with him in the future

We were delighted to get planning permission for our self build, our dreams were shattered when we discovered we could not afford a traditional build. Post covid price rises, meant a standard block and brick build was not economically viable for us. Potton, namely Gavin Pearson ‘to the rescue’! We discovered timber frame homes and after research approached Potton, a well-established timber frame builder and for their thermal efficiency ratings.

Gavin Pearson was our sales consultant, and we knew we were in good hands from the first meeting. Gavin is not only personable, working within our budget, he has a wealth of experience, is super patient with my endless questions and always did what he said he would. The biggest purchase we have ever made - I can honestly say we would not have purchased without Gavin’s impeccable care and customer service.

If you are a first-time builder, Potton is perfectly placed to assist. Not only are they competitive on price, but they also offer several packages to suit budgets with a high-end quality product and service. A useful aspect was knowing we would be supported all the way, post-sale, throughout the build. We purchased a weather and watertight package which included foundations, roof and windows. Potton were able to work with our architect designed and approved home (they do offer designs themselves), made clever alterations to design and suggested improvements, did all the building regulations, all aspects of technical information and drawings and liaise directly with our architect.

Even now when Pottons contractual work is now completed, we still have Gavin available to answer our questions and assist with issues arising for our follow up builder.

If you are new to self build visit their website, where you will find a tonne of free information, courses, podcasts, tools…super useful! And ask for Gavin, you won’t regret it!

For a number of reasons we got rather stuck with the planning and scheduling of our self-build house. A friend with some experience of these matters suggested we phoned Potton who specialise in helping self builders. We are so pleased we did. We received massive help and support from Gavin Pearson and achieved more in the first quarter than we had in the previous two years. The build is now signed up with foundations going in shortly and a contract signed for the structure: we are about to achieve our long dream of building our own house. Gavin has been at our side right the way through, solving complicated admin and technical problems to move the project along at a pace no one else seemed able to manage.

Invaluable advice for free?? Was confused about this but realised it was advise from actual self build experts who wanted to share their experiences! Not often you get advice for free in this world with really good people helping you out

I attended a half-day course on managing a house build. Good information delivered by someone who knows how to self-build a house. A minimum amount of promotion of the company. A good learning environment and good hospitality. About 20 learners. Good, clear info about money, time and quality.

The workshop was fantastic, really informative. From start to finish it covered all aspects of the self builders considerations. You should attend this if you are thinking about embarking on a self build project, it is never too early. So useful to hear other self builder experiences too.

Project looked really good. However the staff conducting site demonstration could have been more informative. One fellow attendee was very helpful and gave more information.
Probably should be split into two groups. Those who are stargazing and those who definitely want to move forward
