Potton Anmeldelser 

Just came here to write a review about windows bought through Potton as part of their watertight offering - only to see a similar review from Anne on 29th July 2025.

Our issue is a spontaneously shattering double glazing unit as part of bifold doors, there was no impact and the bifolds freely open/close, so this is either a manufacturing fault or an installation fault.

We had no contract with either the installers or manufacturers - just with Potton. At no time were warranty limitations (in conflict with Consumer Goods Act) presented to us or accepted by us. However, Potton are washing their hands of the whole situation.

They also present massively inflated costs for any repair - 3x local glaziers.

Beware Potton's slippery positions and inflated costs.

What we thought was an excellent, reputable company has gone down in our estimation. Having purchased windows as part of timber frame house kit, we have had ongoing issues with flimsy hinges jamming and subsequently becoming inoperable - which are clearly not fit for purpose. On contacting Potton at the beginning of this month, following several nil responses to emails have finally been advised to contact THEIR supplier direct. Not good customer service - really expected better.

A very enjoyable and informative walk around an ongoing build. In addition the owner provided costings for the build.

The Self Build Day was informative and we enjoyed the visit to Potton Show Homes. The staff were friendly as well

A well organise and informative event from representatives of both Pottons and Kingspan. Good to understand different levels of the constructions process and to hear also from the clients own experience and support being received throughout the build process.

Overall, this provides a good insight that you would not feel that you are out there to fend for yourself.

Wonderful day - couldn't of asked for more. Wholeheartedly recommend.

All very good and useful information without any hard sell.
Only one minor criticism, although tea and biscuits were available (FOC) the provision of some sandwiches for sale to keep punters going would be good.
Otherwise, a very useful day giving plenty of "food for thought " !

We arrived to find no parking at Potton and struggled to find somewhere in a nearby close, so make sure you get there early these open days are very popular.
There is lots of useful information well presented in these presentations, I wanted to attend them all but we had limited time.
My only criticism would be some of the presenters would quote numbers with no units. So insulation of 1,2 with no indication of units or scale.
Being an engineer everything must have units or be a percentage.
Otherwise time very well spent and I am sure it will save us time and money on our self build.

Our visit to a live build was very informative. The site was well managed and our safety was a high priority. We met members of the Potton team and also the soon to be homeowners.

They don't answer the phone and don't reply to messages. Good at wasting time

I attended the Self Build Day in April and was very impressed. Everyone was very helpful and there was a lot of useful information in the seminars. Great to walk around the show homes too.

It was well organised and informative. The staff were friendly and helpful.
It was very interesting looking round the houses and the seminars were useful.

The Potton day was really useful for anyone considering a self build. The staff were informed and interested in the customers; we got some really honest advice, which we appreciate.

We visited Potton at the Swindon self build centre. We’re waiting for planning permission, so not ready to build yet. But Dan Wilson took time to explain fully self building with Potton. Followed up with an invitation to a live build site in our area. All very enlightening.
Can’t wait to get started.

An ideal opportunity to view a build almost at the sealed to the elements stage.

Comprehensive build your own home / homes information very good .

The whole family was well received and catered for.
Every one had smiles and helpful responses to our self-build questions.
We were given good unbiased advice and information through presentations and 1to1 meetings. A must before a Self-build project!
