Pith & Stem Anmeldelser

Products are pricey, but the desk I ordered is amazing. It fills the exact niche I needed with the quality I trust will last a long time.

updated review

initial unit shipped with a deficiency in the mdf section of the hinge (screws would not hold as it was stripped) but pith and stem replaced the defective piece. was assembling with my dad (retired carpenter) who felt this was a potential weak point.

Overall it was a bit more involved/frustrating a process and I was surprised given the cost, but appreciate that the company corrected this. There was also a minor issue where the delivery company attempted to charge additional duties on the replacement piece but pith and stem resolved this as well. I am enjoying the use of this unit and feel it is fair to update my review

I'm extremely satisfied with my wall-mounted desk. The quality is excellent, and the whole setup looks even better than I expected.
I chose the configuration with the monitor setup and deck, and evrythibg integrates really well! It gi es me a proper dual workstation while keeping the room cleab and organized, without taking up too much space.

This desk is fantastic. Arrived completely set up, amazing cable management, simply hung on the wall and plugged it in and everything was ready to go. Feels sturdy, the desk surface area is huge and then it folds away so nicely at the end of the day. Game changer.

Si me preguntan si compraría otro, mi respuesta sería:
(Si lo bajan 400 € del total de los 1.643 €uros, sí lo compraría, sino no).

Really perfect
Quality at top
Delivery in time

Hello Pith & Stem Team

We are absolutely fascinated by the DropTops, and the design is absolutely amazing. The quality is great.
The craftsmanship is flawless, and everything is exactly as we ordered it. The wood frame is finished neatly with no rough edges. The electrical connections and hinges are also neatly recessed or screwed in place.

Once again, thank you so much for the great communication, the support, and working with us on the pictures. You’re doing a fantastic job.

This desk has truly transformed my workspace. I no longer need to disassemble and pack up my laptop and accessories when moving between rooms. It’s always ready to use and easily stows away when not needed. Definitely a worthwhile investment. As someone who isn’t handy with DIY projects, I hired a professional via Airtasker to install the desk, and they completed the job in less than 30 minutes. The assembly instructions were straightforward and easy to follow.

I couldn't be happier about this purchase -- shipped out to NYC without a problem. I now have a way to make my kids room a workspace while they're out at childcare, and then fold it all away at the end of the day!

I love my drop top desk. It has transformed working from home.

Great service, had to wait a little while for delivery after ordering but all well communicated and arrived within the stated timescales so no issues and definitely worth the wait!

I rarely write reviews this detailed, but **Pith & Stem deserves one — especially for anyone in the U.S. who loves the DropTop but is hesitant about making a significant purchase from a company overseas.**

I had been looking at the Pith & Stem DropTop for **over a year** before finally ordering one. Between the cost of the desk and international shipping from the UK to the U.S., this wasn't an impulse purchase. I researched it, measured everything, and even contacted the company before ordering to confirm that my new 24" iMac would fit.

When the desk finally arrived, I absolutely loved it. **The quality, finish, design, and functionality are every bit as impressive in person as they appear online.** It truly is a beautiful piece of furniture when closed and an incredibly clever workspace when open.

Unfortunately, after having it professionally installed, we discovered that my particular iMac was about a quarter of an inch too tall for the Duo 24 to close properly — even after I purchased a different monitor mount trying to make it work.

I was devastated.

And this is where Pith & Stem earned a customer for life.

Daniel and the team didn't become defensive or make me jump through hoops. They asked for photos and measurements, figured out what was happening, and then offered an incredible solution: **they would replace my Duo 24 with the larger Duo 27 at absolutely no additional cost to me.** No upgrade charge. No additional international shipping charge. No additional import fees.

They also made sure the replacement would have **the same custom artwork, US power configuration, finish, and options from my original order.**

Then they went one step further.

I had already removed and discarded my old desk, so the DropTop had become my actual working desk. I asked whether I could possibly keep using it while the replacement was being manufactured rather than being without a desk for weeks. They agreed to let me keep the Duo 24 until the new Duo 27 arrives and use the replacement's packaging to safely box up the original for collection.

**That level of customer service is extraordinary.**

It's easy to give a company five stars when an order arrives and everything goes perfectly. I think the better measure of a company is **what they do when something doesn't go perfectly.**

This could easily have turned into a frustrating international purchase and return. Instead, Pith & Stem took responsibility for finding a solution and repeatedly asked what they could do to help.

For anyone in the **United States who is considering a DropTop but nervous about ordering an expensive, customized piece of furniture from a UK company**, I hope my experience gives you some reassurance. Based on the way Pith & Stem has handled my situation, I would absolutely feel comfortable purchasing from them again.

I originally waited more than a year to finally buy my DropTop.

**The desk was worth the wait — and the customer service made me even happier that I chose Pith & Stem.**

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Five stars, without hesitation.**

From website to purchase and set up this is a really good product. The build quality is high with lots of metal components and heavy wood. We also have a lot of IKEA stuff and you can see that this is built to a higher spec with more solid bolts, hinges etc

Poor shipping. My duo light box came beaten up, with most of the corners of the desk pieces flaked. Disappointed with how it was packaged and shipped, it’s a bummer to start with a chipped desk before I’ve ever assembled or used it

Best service i have ever had and i love the product!

Desk is fabulous. Definitely a 2 man job to put up but all accessories are provided with clear instructions. Wouldn't be without it as enables work from home 3 days per week.

construction, assembly, solidity of the build, all that was great, but my one big complaint is that i feel like the images, the swatches and previews on the website did a poor job of showing the real color of the wood. i got mine in truffle brown davos, and what i got was much more grey than what i anticipated from what i saw on the website, almost not brown at all.

The desk fits in perfectly to the room, easy to unpack and install. Definitely meet my expectations.
Fills like a table that’s going to last a long time.

These guys are legit and the product is great. This was easily the best value option for a wall desk that I could find anywhere in the world, even with the extra shipping costs (I ended up shipping it from London to the US because nothing here was as good at that price point). I bought the Duo 27, and had the art switched out fr just a plain wooden board same as the rest of the unit.

I had several questions before ordering and received prompt, helpful support. Delivery arrived on time, well packaged, and assembly was straightforward following the instructions in the manual. The quality is excellent, and I'm confident this desk will last many years to come. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product. It's a shame that shipping to the Netherlands incurs additional import charges, but of course that's beyond the company's control.

Love the product - just took a long time to arrive.
