I was able to gain knowledge about open water diving in preparation for underwater training.

Do you know they charge to put your existing qualifications on the ap? Charging for an e card? Too funny. Got my cert in 1987, my advanced in 2000. Thought the ap might be convenient as I start a dive master. Off to check out other companies.

Further- The padi app is purely an advertising platform pushing you to sign up for further training, club membership, travel etc. The only practical part is the electronic dive log function, though it is manual and thus far I cant see how it would integrate into my existing dive software (garmin). It would store your e-card should you wish to pay for one for your existing qualifications. Given adding your qualifications to an app costs zero in overheads the price padi charge for that convenience is ridiculous.

I had an amazing experience getting my PADI license with Pearldivers. My instructor Rushan was Amazing, very informative and encouraging. Would reccommend to anyone who wants to learn.

Een super goede training, eerst in het zwembad en vervolgens 2 dagen in open water. Onze trainer bij Sawasdee Divers (Aonang, Thailand) was Tash en zij was zeer professioneel. Ik vertrouwde volledig op haar onder water en zij heeft me heel goed geholpen! Zonder haar had ik, na een foutje onder water, m’n duik waarschijnlijk afgebroken. Nu heb ik er een mooie, waardevolle herinnering aan! Thank you very much, Tash! You’re the best 👌

I have a fantastic experience at Pro Dive! Having patient, experienced instructors and dive masters makes such a big difference—especially when they take the time to correct small mistakes and prioritize safety before every dive. It’s so important to feel supported while learning, as that not only makes the process enjoyable but also helps build good habits that keep you safe underwater long-term.

Thanks to Dive instructor Mr Putu and dive master Andrew, I have a great time with them.

Your medical release form is terrible. First, there is zero reason why I should need to fill out another one. Second the form is terribly confusing and difficult to access. I can’t consistently re-find it. And I don’t know where to send the signed form. Very frustrating

There is an error or at the least a very poorly worded question in the EANx class. The question asks for the maximum oxygen partial pressure limit. I chose 1.6 which is the maximum and it was scored wrong. The answer it wanted was 1.4. That is the recommended guideline not the maximum. Either the question should be changed to maximum recommended pressure or the answer should be correct at 1.6.

While you won't interact with PADI itself, my dive shop was good doing the PADI course. PADI is the most expensive which does not equate to best training and PADI emails during and after the process are very upsell oriented even during the PADI online test, not a good thing IMHO. And as other mention here there are a few inaccurate and/or poorly worded questions on tests but feel free to email them and contest those and or help them as I did. No reply though. If they reply here on TP well then you know they only care about the suggestions made in public.

I recently completed my PADI Open Water Diving Course with DivingNomads in Tamarindo, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! 😍

My instructor, Angele, was absolutely amazing – highly skilled, patient, professional, and genuinely kind. She made me feel safe and confident throughout the whole course. Angele gave me the perfect start to my diving journey, and even helped me with my GoPro videos! The entire crew at DivingNomads was fantastic as well: fun, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. The atmosphere was both professional and relaxed, which made the experience even better.

I love that all the 4 training dives take place at the Catalina Islands, which are an insane place to dive. I saw plenty of sharks, eagle rays, stingrays, a turtle, and an incredible variety of fish. We heard beautiful whale songs underwater, and even spotted humpback whales from the boat. It honestly felt magical.

I’m super satisfied with my course and already hope to come back in March. I can’t recommend DivingNomads enough. If you’re considering doing your Open Water in Tamarindo, this is the place to go!

Super easy to navigate, very comprehensive and filled me with confidence.

Videos don't play on Mac. For an educational website of importance, you really expect better. How about investing in your website development? Does not instill confidence in their service. Use a different diving certification if you can; they are clearly happy cutting corners.

The open water diver course was excellent,the instructor was great and everything was easy. Thanks to PADI i have the ow diver certificate.

Ich als Neutaucher Habe bei Silvia und Roni den OWD und Dry suit gemacht. Sie und ihr Team haben sich wirklich genug zeit genommen sodass alles klar ist und keine Missverständnisse vorkommen. Auch bei Problemen haben alle Super reagiert. Das wichtigste ist natürlich dass sie mir ohne probleme bis zur brevetierung geholfen haben. Es hat mit natürlich auch sehr viel Spass bereitet mit ihnen zu tauchen. Danke nochmals an das ganze team!

A seguito di un soggiorno a Marsa Alam ho usufruito dei servizi del Blu Sea Diving center. Nel corso delle uscite sono successi innumerevoli inconvenienti. Un solo plauso alla guida per il resto la struttura è da scordare per qualità, cortesia, pulizia. La persona che mi ha accompagnata è rimasta traumatizzata dal tentativo di battesimo fatto da un operatore. Ai miei appunti mi è stato risposto di non sapere le procedure. Fortunatamente lo stesso inconveniente è capitato ad un compagno di immersione che si è visto i rubinetti chiusi e a pochi istanti dall'immersione. Ho sempre ritenuto la Padi una associazione di rispetto ma questi eventi non credo giovino. Parlo da Dive Master certificato con altra associazione con alcune centinaia di immersioni convalidate in tutto il mondo. Bruttissima esperienza e con costi altissimi. Mai più.
