The Lichfield Branch lettings agent Vicky Shelley completed a new letting for our apartment in record time despite dealing with the COVID 19 restrictions.
Vicky and the agents have always been very professional whenever we needed their services, nothing is too much trouble for her or Newton Fallowell Lichfield agents.
I would recommend any Landlord searching for new tenants not to hesitate in contacting them for an appointment.

I contacted the Grantham office three times, once able to get through by phone and was told I would get a call back, I did not. Twice via the online chat and was told my message would be passed on and I would be called back. Again nothing. I want to register to buy a property - it appears there is zero interest unless you have a property to sell. I would be cautious using them for either after this rather bad first impression. I have also tried to call but no-one picks up the phone.

Very Very Bad, do not trust these people to sell your property. I am writing in reference to the Newark office.
They failed to sell my property and then wanted to charge me £300.00 for sale fees to cover reasonable costs, all they done was took a few terrible pictures. They never accompanied any viewings and tried to send people to view my property through lockdown, which is really terrible practice breaking all government rules. Now they are chasing me for the £300 that there was no mention of when signing the sales contract. They are really terrible and very pushy, please please do not use them.

If I could give this diabolical company a big fat ZERO I would have done, they are honestly that bad!

Our recent experience is with regards to the Grantham office.

We decided to use Newton Fallowell because just 3 years ago we had used their Lincoln office to sell our previous property and their level of professionalism was out of the top draw of client service and detailed attention, however the Grantham office staff don't appear to know the first letter of the word professionalism as they were that BAD!

We decided to put our property onto the market on the 1st August having totally ignored the advice of NF to place it on at a fixed price, instead we had it put on at a figure which was several thousand below what was being suggested to us, however the sale price was marked as "Offers Over".
Immediately our property went up on Rightmove etc., quite literally the phone lines were hot and we had 5 viewings only 2 days later which resulted in several offers that same day, all being above the marked price.

When we were advised of these offers on the 4th August, that was the last time we heard anything from Newton Fallowell for 9 long weeks despite calling them on many occasions they could not, would not give us any information or updates as to how the sale was progressing.

We have since discovered they are a franchised organisation with the owners of the franchise being the Belvoir Property Group whom I have now written to, but have never received a reply.

Had we used an on-line agent such as Purple Bricks we would have saved a very substantial amount of charges running into £000’s whilst receiving very arguably a far better service

Take my advice, don't even consider using this company.

I'm disappointed to be leaving a 3 star review and not higher.

When I had the valuation done on my house the valuer arrived on time, well prepared and very honest about the price, prospects of sale in a difficult market and I was filled with confidence. Despite being one of the more expensive options I looked at I decided that Newton Fallowell felt like the right partner to sell my property. They provided a third party photographer who took amazing photos and they produced a great video tour of the property, getting it listed very quickly with a high quality advert. Absolute 5 star to this point.

My property sold within 24 hours, above the asking price which was great. I then received a call from Newton Fallowell head office I believe whom recommended me a solicitor to use that they frequently deal with, JS Law. I found a cheaper option than these and was encouraged that by using their partner they would be able to liaise with the solicitors to keep the sale moving at a fast pace so I agreed. This was an enormous mistake as quite frankly i've never received worse service than I have from JSLaw, and despite telling me that they would proactively chase solicitors, Newton Fallowell absolutely did not do this despite me telling them numerous times that I was having issues with their recommended solicitor. However, whenever I asked them to get an update or to chase my solicitor they did so straight away.

The only other negative thing to say, is that I have asked for a copy of the nicely printed marketing brochure for my house, to keep for posterity and what I was sent was a basic printed, folded in half and stapled together proof of it from the branch. I phoned up the head office and reiterated what I was looking for to be told that they hadn't printed them as my property sold before they had done so, therefore wouldn't be able to send me this. I think this is a little ridiculous given that i'm paying 3.5k and did the viewings myself (by my choice). On this point I feel like i'm not getting something that i'm paying good money for, and I just wanted 1 or 2 nicely printed copies, as they showed me in the sales pitch.

Those 2 negatives aside, the service was great and the team in the Grantham branch helped me print and send the docs back to my solicitors and even went to my property when the alarm was going off (thanks Cal) in order to fix it, which was really helpful as I live in London.

In summary, I don't regret using Newton Fallowell and I would use them again but I will never trust another recommendation from estate agents regarding conveyencors.

Do not use this company! They are extremely pushy and just want money from their customers. Avoid at all cost!

Very unprofessional and poor. Never deal with this estate agent again. I had travelled all the way from birmingham to see a property in birstall leicester. The lady when booked mentioned yes its booked an you will be first one viewing this property. When i arrived nobody was present. I had rang the office to be told this property was sold. Even though i had rang two days before to book viewing. Really bad. The personnel on the phone did not even know what property we were speaking about even though it was showing on right move. Just really bad. I would advise anyone going to view a property from this estate to not to bother or i would be even concerning selling my property with you guys. Awful

Arranged to view a propoerty in Leicester yesteday, travelling all the way from Luton, Befordshire, finding that the oweners had gone on holiday. When calling the Oadby office, we got a flipant response; " that is unfortunate", something that anyone have an argument over after a hour & a half road travel. But requested the agent who arranged the viewing to call back as soon as she came off another call. We are still waiting for an apology today.

I had the worst possible experience with this agency until now (Lincoln branch). They’re absolutely not interested in to contact with potential tenant and super unprofessional with everything what possible. My short story: I applied for one property in first half of August. Got a link to referencing process with company called Let Alliance. They were checking everything for quite long and I contacted with them that everything is fine. When my referencing process has been finished (after 9 days) I got an email with insurance offer for possible property. Just in case next day I contacted Newton Fallowell about this process and ask that everything is fine and what is further steps. Ms Anita told me to wait for contact. I waited next 7 days and contacted once again. And guess what happened. They told me that landlord already accepted someone for this property, because I didn’t complete process and they didn’t get report from Let Alliance. So I contacted Let Alliance why they didn’t send this report. They confirmed that it has been sent out week earlier. After several phone calls and - finally - visit in branch, they apologised that missed our report. So even when they noticed about it, still lied by phone that they will check what happened and contact me. Of course they didn’t. You can forget about contact from this agency. Looks like that employees are not interested to care about customers. I experienced only lies and unprofessional behaviour here. Whole process was extremely painful, stressful and they waisted over 2 weeks of my time. But I gave another one chance when I found next property which could suits my needs. I made a phone call and they promised me to send a link for virtual tour. Like you probably already suppose - it never happened... I recommend to avoid this agency (at least Lincoln branch) if possible. Those stress and anger in not worth.

We've sold our last three properties with Simon's team (Burton on Trent office) and have found them to be a great agent e.g. comms and advice are good, very friendly and helpful, etc.

We recently sold our house through Newton Fallowell's Stamford branch. Overall we had a very positive experience, they were good at keeping in touch and getting feedback on viewings. Nikki did a fantastic job chasing the process to keep it moving as we were on a tight deadline, she was also very patient with us! I would recommend them and use them again.

After arranging 2 meetings and not turning up for 1 of them and then cancelling the other at very short notice, we were told that the MD would ring us to rearrange. He did not call us back despite numerous calls to his mobile and office. I rang the office to be told that MD wasn't available to speak to. I complained about lack of communication and then suddenly with no introduction MD was on the phone and said he could sense tension in the air and lets leave things and go with someone else. Strange thing to say when we were not in receipt of their services. They claim to have left messages on house phone but we don't have an answering machine. Wouldn't recommend this firm to anyone selling their home as they don't get back to you and make all sorts of excuses why not.

Just used their online chat and chatted with a very pleasant and helpful lady who quickly helped me with the issue I had. I don't usually like using "chats" but she helped me and made the whole experience quite enjoyable. Thank you.

We are vendors and were very impressed by the sales pitch presented by the company MD. He was professional and polite and after valuing our home he took us through the service they could provide for a very competitive fee. Of the three EAs we had Newton Fallowell definitely offered the best bang for buck and we were pretty much sold before he left. We got back to him later that day to book in for photos etc. After this is where it fell apart, he No-Showed us, we were concerned and rang him, no answer. We rang the office and were told he'd left an hour ago, we were now very concerned. The office never rang back with an explanation so we rang again (now an hour after he was supposed to be with us) they then told us he'd double booked us. The lady in the office asked if we could rebook but after giving 2 times that we were available they couldn't make it happen...Goodbye Newton Fallowell, I found this very unprofessional and if they couldn't get it right at this stage there was no way they were managing the sale of my house. I wouldn't have written this review if I'd have had an apology and a better explanation from the MD himself but he hasn't bothered contacting us at all, in fact, since the day of the no-show we've had nothing from them. Sorry Newton Fallowell, you are not a good advert for the use of local estate agents!

I seriously would not recommend Newton Fallowell to landlords or tenants. It took them 2 weeks to finally respond to us after we had already applied for a property. We rang and emailed them many times during this period and everytime we did manage to speak to someone they told us they would get back to us and never did. They honestly acted like we were a hassle they couldn’t be bothered with. After they finally responded we asked a couple simple questions they should know “What is the move in date and how much is the deposit”. They did not know this information and they had to contact the landlord. They’re not even the ones who gave us the viewing, it was the landlord. I’m honestly not exactly sure what their job is, they just made it as difficult as possible for us to rent the property. Eventually they asked us to pay a large sum for a holding deposit and then then informed us that the property was not actually available.
Harriet was nice and friendly, but the other staff were very standoffish. A quick look at some of the outrageously rude review responses from the director and I now understand why. Very poorly run and unprofessional.

We are coming a long way to view some properties so rung up and booked our viewing in advance, especially with the COVID-19 about, although we are going after the 4th July! Every estate agent we spoke to could accommodate us and were very helpful and too note there were 5. So I rung up Newton Fallowell and after getting back to me late afternoon ( I rung in the morning ) I was informed “unless you can put an offer in on the day and you don’t have anything to sell you can’t view it” well everyone else is being very helpful apart from this company and to ensure it was the company and not the person I spoke too my wife rung a few days before and got the same response. So sellers do yourself a favour and change your estate agent because these guys really aren’t helping you sell!!

Don't bother, avoid if at all possible! Let us down with buying a house twice. Looks like they don't want our commission. We will certainly think twice before using them again on our search for a house. Staff seem nice enough, although they have that many that you never get to speak to the same one twice. They have no communication between them.

Be aware at end of tenancy they change the Agreement to withhold your deposit you have to dispute every penny as they are happy to make up a clause to help the landlord. Your tenancy Agreement is law not any extras they add at the end. Avoid if possible
