I ordered 2 pairs of shoes to pick from for my wedding. I returned one of them and the customer support was very communicative and offered me three refund options to choose from. One of the options is store credit with 10% bonus, which I find very courteous.

I ordered from NAE twice because I was looking for quality vegan office shoes. I carefully followed the sizing guide on their website, but neither pair fit. Both orders were returned correctly and both returns were successfully delivered back to NAE.

The problems started after that.

The refund for my first returned order (€115) was never processed. After I opened a PayPal dispute, NAE asked me to close it and assured me the refund would be issued. I trusted their promise, closed the dispute, and never received my money. PayPal later confirmed that the dispute could not be reopened.

The refund for my second returned order (€95) is also still outstanding.

At this point, NAE has received both returned orders but still owes me €210. I have now filed a complaint with the German Verbraucherzentrale and will continue pursuing every available consumer protection and legal remedy until the refunds are paid.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Friendly customer service means very little when refund obligations are not fulfilled. Pure scam.

I chose NAE because I wanted to support a sustainable and vegan footwear brand. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.

I purchased my shoes directly from NAE, and after less than six months of ownership and only a handful of wears, they were still in excellent condition.

When I cleaned them using nothing more than water and mild soap, the red material bled and permanently stained the grey part of the shoe. In my opinion, a premium product should not suffer irreversible colour transfer after such basic care.

I contacted customer service, explained exactly what had happened, and provided photos. Despite this, they concluded that the damage must have been caused by the cleaning process rather than a manufacturing or material issue, without inspecting the shoes. My request for a replacement or refund was rejected.

After several emails, the only solution offered was a 30% discount on a future purchase as a "gesture of goodwill." Unfortunately, after this experience, I have lost confidence in both the product and the company's after-sales support, so this is not a meaningful solution for me.

I appreciate that they replied to my emails, but I am very disappointed with how my complaint was handled. I expected better quality and stronger customer service from a company that promotes premium materials, sustainability, and responsible production.

Great costumer service, very nice quality. Unfortunately the shoes did not fit my feet but that did not matter because they are so great at their job, especially customer service!

I have now bought three pairs of shoes from NAE: two dress shoes and, most recently, a pair of sandals. All three showed quality issues.
After the first two pairs, I had already decided not to order again. I gave the brand one last chance with the sandals, thinking a simpler product might hold up better. The insole lining began detaching at the heel after fewer than ten wears.
When I contacted customer support, I was told this was the result of "normal use" and was advised to press the lining back down myself or visit a local cobbler at my own expense. No acknowledgement of a defect, no gesture of goodwill — nothing.
NAE markets itself on sustainability and ethical values. In my experience, that ethos does not extend to its after-sales service. Customers who expect durability from a brand with this positioning are likely to be disappointed.

I bought a pair of military boots last year, Marca black to be precise. The first pair came incomplete without inner soles and the sole gave up after less than 4 months. After complaining and an endless back and forth, I convinced them to send me a new pair that unfortunately ended in the same way.

They preach sustainability but their product ended in a landfill twice in less than one year.

That to me is extremely disappointing. They used to make real quality boots using recycled materials. My very first pair of boots bought from them lasted over 6 years.
I guess the corporate virus got them too eventually.

Amazing quality. I bought winter boots 6 years ago and they are still in great condition. Great beautifully designed website, easy to navigate and the customer service is very quick to respond and help you in any way they can.

Edit to the below: Nae have made the refund after about 5 weeks. It may be better is they used a faster return service to remedy this issue even if it incurred a slightly higher charge for overseas returns. Nae were very apologetic but the delays are still the longest I have experienced. The boots themselves were of very high quality, but unisex sizing in shoes is still geared towards the make foot size. - Original Feedback: Reiko size 40 were returned on the same day they arrived due to the unisex sizing being too big for a female foot. The boots were fine,, just not an actual size 40. I read reviews too late re sizing and withholding of customer funds. Five weeks and seven emails later there is radio silence re the return so I have had to get my bank to intervene due to potential fraud. Do not order from the UK. The store has gone over the 30days maximum they are allowed by EU law to make a refund.

My experience with them was very good, they answer right away and treat customers with care. I would definitely order there again. Their shoes are really beautiful, too!

They were true to their values, trough all process, even when problems arose, the costumer suport was fantastic, a person, Neuza, delicate, nice and very kind, instead of robot.

I’ve been following or drooling over NAE shoes for about 10 years. During that time, I have also been on the hunt for a vegan Mary Jane heel that isn’t clunky. I was so excited when NAE released a pair for fall 2025. The first time I was going to buy them was in October 2025 but my size was sold out. When I saw that my size was back in stock at the end of December 2025 and on sale I snagged a pair. The website says 2-3 business days from NAE shipping the product to the US. With the US’s unfortunate tariff's, I figured 7-9 business days which has been my experience with other companies. The product shipped two days later and I was thrilled. It is now 10 days since the product shipped and the last scan was that the product cleared customs (the tracking is so inadequate and just says cleared customs but not where) and that was Jan 6 or 6 days from this review. On Jan 8, I contacted NAE and didn’t hear from them until today. After some half hearted apologies, NAE went into how it isn’t their problem and tariff’s are the cause and really while their website says delivery in 2-3 business days, it’s really much longer than that. They did agree that it’s weird that there has been no scan since Jan 6 and would look into it, however, based on this delay and experience, I’m not holding my breathe for a response or the shoes.

I ordered the MARCA shoes on 13 Nov 2025 and received on 26 Nov 2025. The model didn't match my expectations, so I requested an exchange for the APRIL model.

I received the return label on 3 Dec 2025 and send the MARCA model back the day after. The last shipping update was on 8 Dec 2025 when the return arrived to Jönköping, Sweden.

Since I didn't receive any other update I sent NAE an email on 1 Jan 2026. I wrote that I was understanding of the businesses of December but I wished to hear an update of my order.

I didn't hear anything back so I wrote again on 8 Jan 2026 now requesting my money back, after having tried to reach their website, which now it states "Access Restricted. This website is not available in your region".

This feels like an utter scam. I am so disappointing coming from a company selling vegan shoes, claiming to have ethical values.
