To be honest, finding Musixmatch saved me a lot of time and brought everything I need as an artist straight to me. For 4 years now I have been using Musixmatch to distribute my lyrics across all platforms and I am extremely satisfied.

Musixmatch is such a genius platform that I loved and will always love.

Eure Songtexte sind in 99% der Fälle falsch. Und das schon seit Jahren und es ändert sich nichts. Und jetzt war es wirklich einmal zu viel. Genius ist viel besser. Da sind die Lyrics in 99% der Fälle richtig. AZLyrics geht auch noch. Peinlich und dumm, dass Spotify euch benutzt.

Great experience, currently facing some apple music sign in problems, but otherwise nice UI and everything.

I was charged for it when I shouldnt have and within minutes of me requesting the refund it was prcessed. Thank you for being trust worthy.

I quite enjoy adding lyrics and translations and whatnot. It makes me feel like I'm part of something, as sad as that might sound.

It is also extremely useful to have all of these lyrics readily available.

I started to translate some songs and whenever a finish the translation and submit, my account is logged out.

I’ve been using Musixmatch for many years, and it’s honestly disappointing to see how much the platform has declined.

Years ago, Musixmatch was simple, reliable, free to use, and worked exactly as expected. Today, the experience is filled with technical issues, unnecessary limitations, and a business model that seems far more focused on pushing users toward a paid subscription than on providing a high quality service.

I also tried the Pro subscription, hoping it would solve some of the problems. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Many technical issues were still present, several of the advertised benefits didn’t work properly for me, and despite contacting support, I never received the help I needed. I eventually requested a refund because the subscription simply wasn’t worth the money.

Another concern is Musixmatch’s dominant position in the lyrics industry. With such influence across many music platforms, I would expect a stable, polished, and user friendly product. Instead, the platform seems to become more frustrating and less reliable every year.

I’m not writing this review just to complain. I’m writing it because I remember how great Musixmatch used to be, and it’s genuinely sad to see how much it has changed. I truly hope the company starts prioritizing stability, usability, and customer support again instead of continuously adding restrictions and pushing expensive subscriptions.

In its current state, I simply can’t recommend the Pro version, and I hope the company listens to the growing criticism from its users.

Mi sembra tra l'altro molto strano che pur essendoci i nostri testi corretti in giro su Bandcamp, puntualmente vengono inseriti testi errati su spotify da voi o da qualche utente misterioso. Non vorrei pensare a male che venga fatto per poi costringerti a pagare l'abbonamento Pro per modificare personalmente gli errrori... Non vorrei fosse questa la strategia oscura... In ogni caso rimuovete subito tutti i nostri testi da Spotify o procediamo legalmente.

We manage the verified artist profile for Flashback Lounge. Since July 12, 2026, Musixmatch Pro has blocked access after lyric submissions for our own official catalog, showing "Something went wrong / Try again or contact our support." We contacted support on July 13 and escalated again on July 19. Both support paths redirected us to Messenger/Get Help inside Musixmatch Pro, but that widget is not available because the Pro interface itself is blocked. That leaves the account in a support deadlock: we cannot manage our verified catalog, and we cannot reach the channel Musixmatch tells us to use. We are asking for a human review, restored access, or a clear alternative support path. Update July 29, 2026: Musixmatch replied here asking for account details and artist links. We sent a new support follow-up today with the account email and the Spotify/Apple Music artist links. Trustpilot does not allow links inside reviews, so I cannot paste them here. The issue is still unresolved. The Flashback Lounge artist profile is verified, and the account is now receiving Musixmatch Pro product emails for Artist Insights, including messages on July 28 and July 29. However, the roster and insights pages still fail with the same "Something went wrong / Try again or contact our support" error. We are trying to resolve this, not fight with Musixmatch. We need a working support path or a human account review so we can manage our official lyrics catalog.

Update August 17, 2026: The issue remains unresolved. Musixmatch assigned support ticket PSH-474. We followed up again on August 6 at 7:37 p.m. BRT, but there has been no human response since then. We also checked the earlier escalation thread and found no later human reply. After more than a month, we still need a human account review, restored access, or a functional alternative support channel.

Musixmatch is an excellent platform for artists. It's easy to use, the lyric synchronization works well, and it helps listeners enjoy songs even more. Great experience so far!

Its just abysmal at everything its supposed to do
I have no idea what people who give this 5 stars are on, dead internet theory is true
I respect both yours and my time, therefore will try to shorten this up as much as possible

- You cannot connect Apple Music, an iOS and iPadOS native music streaming service to musixmatch to use the syncing tool, for the last 7 months “dsp_pl_connect_fail“ is what you would see.

- There is literally no way to contact musixmatch support, the slack link hasnt been updated since 2020 and there is no e-mail (for musixmatch community app) to contact them

- You get shadowbanned for using a pseudonym instead of your real name

- Using a VPN sends you into a spiral of cloudflare captcha sites, completely erasing the work youve done on a song (transcription/syncing). Completing the captcha will redirect you… to another captcha, a never ending loop

- Lyrics compiled by the community dont show up on the browser app, what is the point of having a community driven platform if the work done by the community is hidden behind a nice “fck you, we cant show this yet“ wall?

- The syncing tool is more painful to use than having a steel vice shoved into your urethra, working a 3 minute song will take you one hour. 5 minutes for transcription, 4 minutes for syncing and 51 minutes of troubleshooting the god awful spaghetti code these guys vibe coded using grok ai.

- The UI is absolutely abysmal, especially on iOS where opening up the lyrics tab to a song, the bottom 1/3rd of your screen will be a plaque asking you to sync the lyrics word for word. No musixmatch, if I dont want to use your god awful word for word syncing tool, I dont want to have 1/3rd of my screen covered THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE SONG.

- Word for word lyrics are hilariously broken, these guys manage to break literally everything that remotely worked. Word for word lyrics show you either half the word thats being spoken, multiple words at the same time or the entire line lighting up before/after the line was said by the vocalist

- Sometimes it takes you a week just to see the work youve done on a song show up… on musixmatch, not on any streaming platform

Overall, it used to be good, now they know theyre a monopoly and dont do anything. Lyricfind is in the gutter, genius is outdated as hell. The only good alternative is imagining the synced lyrics in your head I guess

Would be down to hear from you guys in replies if Jeff Bezos allows you to respond to a review with bad words in it

Its been a little over a month, since then a few things happened: i was contacted by musixmatch. Thats it. However, it wasn‘t to “figure out how to improve the app“, it was to send me advertisements… the email they requested me through trustpilot to get in contact with me was used to start sending me advertisement/spam emails… i guess thats all you need to know about this company and how they treat their community

And no, i was not contacted by musixmatch software team or whatever to help improve the app

I did have a nice little textwall written up, answering your replies to my main points of contention above, however this beautiful platform (trustpilot) does not allow to respond to companies directly, therefore my reply would exceed the max. character limit.

I like how this company gives the public the opportunity to improve upon music and podcasts in the form of lyrics, translations, tags, etc. I use Musixmatch to add lyrics to songs on instagram and add them to songs I like.

After being locked out for weeks, Musixmatch supported me with my request to be able to login as normal, so i can now add and edit my lyrics as before.✌🏽
