Laggy/Poor Support
I tried out their monthly server plans for < 10 hrs. I cancelled very early on as the experience was laggy and very frustrating even though I have a 150mbps ethernet connection. They charged me for the full month even after contacting them for a refund since i used less than 10 hrs of server time.
MacinCloud customer service rocks!
MacinCloud customer service rocks! I'm a PC user who wanted to test the Vellum software, and I'm so glad I gave MacinCloud a shot rather than just ruling myself out as a Vellum user before I even tried it. Any time I have had an issue, MiC's support team always replies within a day, sometimes even the same day, and they're always knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them!!

The service I've received from the team is always spectacular. Program updates happen quickly, and any queries I've had (which have been few and far between) have been answered promptly and efficiently. Thoroughly recommend MacinCloud.
Everything is passive
I subscribe the PAY-AS-YOU-GO plan. but first time login is already stuck at "waiting for session" screen. I keep waiting for at least 30 minutes and I cannot properly log off from there, so all I can do is just close it. So the hour usage counter is still counting on and on and that are ALL THE WASTE. because I can't even use it, I cannot go in desktop but stuck at "waiting for session" forever yet I cannot log off. until I raise ticket to request reboot after 2 days. So quota is finised at that time. SO it seems like everything is passive and manual operated, you all should keep spamming support request ticket to force them do something before it gets too late.
Very Good Service and Company
They do exactly what their name implies. They provide you a virtual Mac. The service is easy to use, they provide good customer support, and it works well. I don't know if it does everything a "Macspert" (Mac Expert, LOL) would want but I am a software developer and needed a Mac for testing and learning since I spent most of my career in the Windows and Linux worlds. It did everything I needed it to do and was very reasonably priced. When I ran into a little issue they were very quick to help me out !

I have been a pc user for decades so Apple is a whole new world and a bit confusing to me. What I've found in custumer service is willing thorough help promptly in a day or two. They, like Andrew, are patient, professional, and friendly and solve my problem everytime. I am much impressed at the consistent high level of customer service I receive thru MacinCloud.com. Do not buy from them!
Bought one of their dedicated plans with admin rights recently. They provided fewer cores and a lot less memory than listed in the plan and also clearly stated in the receipt!
It was like trying to rent a relatively new, 2017 Mac but they decided Mac from ca 2005 is good enough for you but with the price of the newer Mac!
The support does not reply despite multiple tickets. Only "Ticket received" replies. Had to cancel the subscription.

Technically, they are OK.
Support is good and will find compromise or resolve issues your way.
BUT their spent time counting on the Pay-As-You-Go tarification is a mess.
1.They update the hours spent ONCE A MONTH. I still see the 1st of december result. So, you cannot see the laters hours and prepare to be surprised afterwards, because...
2.Closing the mac window doesn't log you out! So, you just keep spending your hours until 20 hours of the next day is spent. Than, thank the Gods, you are logged out. How convenient of you, MacInCloud! But, wait for more...
3.If you choose to log out, programs opened can still stop your account from logging out.
4.And can you find this out before shift happens? No! Because "Protection and Security" setting "log out after X minutes of inaction" CANNOT BE ACCESSED TO VIEW without admin rights. So, you'll never find it out unless ask them directly. And OF COURSE it is set as off. Because for each user that counts his money there are several that don't and will pay for extra.
I got 120+ hours added like this. Charged for 60$ for nothing.
I made a ticket for their support team. They sent me a list of hours spent. Seems like it almost never logged out on its own.
They added me a 90 hours as compensation. I add them one extra star for this. Still I'm sure it's all their fault. Went to Pay-As-You-Go to avoid spending 20$ every month as I use it rarely. Got charged even more instead.
Perfect for short term use
I needed to use a Mac for a short period of time, and Mac in Cloud provided exactly what I needed. Very simple and easy to setup and start using.
Truck Driver to App Developer with MacinCloud
I started using MacinCloud back in March so that I could learn IOS development. I built a few apps for IOS that I had built out on Android already. It was a tough learning curve since I've never used a Mac before.
MacinCloud's setup was perfect. I live in Indiana and my Mac was in New York, but that wasn't a problem. I think twice during a storm here I got disconnected, but was able to reconnect immediately. I was on the Mac sometimes 10+ hours a day.
I learned IOS, and got hired at a national software development company developing IOS applications in September making good money.
If it hadn't been for MacinCloud's great Mac setup and flawless service, I would not have gotten this dev job.
Thank You MacinCloud for helping me learn IOS and making it easy to get started with a setup that allowed me to do everything I needed to do!
This review might sound kind of cheesy to some people, but I really am grateful. I was an OTR truck driver making good money, but I never saw my family. Now I have a 8-5 job and get home every night. I have holidays and weekends off, and I get to spend time with my family. And I got a job making what I was making driving truck. That's a pretty big deal to me.

We needed a Mac desktop environment to debug a client application. Macincloud provided immediate virtual access with Gigabit network capacity, which was exactly what we needed. Thank you!
Good customer service
Customer support is fairly prompt (24hrs is prompt, too bad its not 12hrs or that would be perfect!) Usability of their website is ok but could be better. Some of the Server location options arn't really locations (i.e. Perth actually just puts you in Singapore) and the dedicated/managed plans are a little costly if you plan to just use it here and there (but thats why pay as you go exists, so maybe that's on me?)
That all said, connecting from Perth to Sydney/Singapore was remarkably fast and the machines even though old are surprisingly good at running xcode.
The biggest thumbs up is probably the tech support team, multiple times I made mistakes with the computer setup (wrong macos version wrong location) and each time they were able to help no questions asked. I even messed up and re-subscribed to managed (which as stated above, wasn't right for me) of which they partially refunded for the time I wasn't using it.
Over all really good company, with some improvements to the UI + some automation to server plan migrations this would be the perfect service.

I Signed up to pay 20$ a month plan to rent a mac server to get some work done on the unreal engine. Here's what happened. They automatically bill you for the next payment cycle, if you do not cancel. So I wanted exactly one month and proceeded to cancel. Immdediately after cancelling I Got connect issues to their mac server event though i had already paid them money. When the service did work , prepare to immediately upgrade to pay 50$ a month because to update any of the pre-installed software on their macs like android studio, or epic games, you will need an administrator password and username for software that already exists. I Tryed writing them to complain about this, and sometimes their support staff would email, and sometimes they would not. I think that you can try this service but you will more than likely run into some issues, and it's either you have to have patience for the support staff to help you. Or Prepare to fork out another 30$ a month. I Cannot recommend a product that doesn't deliver on the minimum 20$ a month It says. why would I want to pay more for something that worked mediocre?
Further Edit: I reinstated My Plan And Got the Team to help me. My plan allows me to have 3 hours per day. The plan is automatically hooked up so that if i spend more time on the mac than 3 hours I will be automatically billed more money. I Think it COuld be 25$. I'm not sure. You can look at there plans. Anyways. When On the mac the only way for them to check how long you have been on the mac is for you to click the sign out button. When I Clicked on it 99% of the time it worked fine. But, Just recently, I Went and clicked on the log out button and it did nothing. It kept me logged in, still increase my time spent. I Only discovered I was stileld logged in about 20 minutes later, When I realized the window was still open. I clicked log out again, and still nothing. And to my surprise the mac was not frozen. I Could still browser the internet just fine. Yet the Log Out button just didn't seem to be working. Wow How interesting. A Company that has technical issues and you'll be the one paying for it. Is there a way to give zero stars?

Great customer support!
While it took me a while to properly set up my connection (crashed a couple times on booting up), the support staff responded quickly and effectively. I have been using this service for over a month now to build, develop and send an iOS app to the AppStore. I sometimes experience a small delay (I assume because they’re servers experience an unusually high traffic volume), however, with a little patience, I have found MacInCloud quite useful. The kicker was when I needed a particular application installed on my profile. Support staff got back to me in under 10 minutes with the installation complete. Like all software products, there are bound to be issues, but customer support (at least in North America) is quick to solve any problem you may run into. I have not tried any other remote Mac product, but I would definitely recommend this one.

I bought a managed server but using it was a nightmare.
Very unresponsive, taking minutes to start xcode and just opening a menu took 10+ seconds.
Tried to connect to it remotely using vs2019 but impossible to start an app. Various errors, sometimes it started the emulator sometimes not.
Wasted hours on this.

Really enjoyed it from a developers perspective, got the hang of it after a while from moving from Windows, took some time to get used to navigating around, but from a developers point of view, these new experiences can be invaluable. Appreciated the support of the support team when the portal could not be accessed.
