I used the service to raise money for a charity. All went well until I wanted to transfer the funds. I've tried 3 times but the requests were rejected. I tried to call their help line but the number doesn't work and they are not replying to emails (help...leetchi.com) over 3 weeks.
I don't recommend their service
EDITED: This is definitely the worst service and slowest service I have ever experienced. In order to withdraw money I need to send them very long list of documents. If you can use other services

Getting you ID validated appears to be near impossible at this time. I have been waiting since the 3rd January and nothing. The support form doesn't generate any response. The money in the pot is now held hostage by Leetchi.

Stay away!
After collecting money for a farewell gift, I cannot transfer it to my bank accout. My requests were cancelled 6 times without any reason. Calling the support does not work as the number provided in the email does not exist.
I contacted the support via email several times without any feedback. I can't buy the gift now and this is a tragedy. I cannot recommend this company at all and should have read the feedback in advance, as this is a common "issue".

Pot wurde nicht ausbezahlt!
Pot wurde nicht ausbezahlt, alle Nachrichten werden ignoriert. Pot wird jetzt einfach leer angezeigt. Schlimm, dass wir noch einen anderen Pot am laufen haben. Somit wird wohl auch das Geld verloren sein. Spender und Organisation wurden betrogen. Hilft wohl nur, den Anwalt einzuschalten.
Nachtrag: Über Instagram konnte endlich ein Kontakt hergestellt werden. Nach ewigem hin und her und erneuter Zustellung der Bankdaten wurde der zweite Pot dann endlich ausbezahlt. Wir sind froh, dass es dann doch noch zu einem guten Ende führte, werden es aber nicht noch einmal riskieren.
Was mit dem ersten Pot ist, bleibt nach wie vor unklar. Wie uns mitgeteilt wurde, wird eine Einzelspende immer an den Spender zurücküberwiesen, wir klären das noch.

ID approval pending
I have been waiting for my
ID to be verified since the 4th of January. I have followed up with emails and filled out the online form to which I had received no response.
Following my posted review on Trustpilot I received feedback from what I believe to be from a Leetchi employee called Gilbert, I responded to Gilbert with the requested information (on January 17th) to which I have not received a response since.
I would like to access the pot which was kindly collected from former colleagues on my behalf. It is impossible to get in touch with a leetchi employee, I am not sure what to do next.

I just started to use Leetchi yesterday and I am very disappoint, I try to withdraw my pot because I would to cancel it and I receive a message to say that the transaction failed but with no reason and no way to restart an operation !
So I have no information from them about my money 96 euros !

NO RESPONSE AND NO LINK TO GIFT CARDS

I have waited since 05/01 approval on my spend pot validated. I waited for 48h to retrieve the gift cards, until now (10 days). I have sent a help request from contact form, calling the contact line and sending email for help. I have not received anything. It's getting frustrating as I would like to use the gift cards to do my travel which on 1st February!

I wish I'd read these reviews first, following the sudden death of a friend we set up a cagnotte to help pay costs. This week I have tried 3 seperate times, 3 seperate bank accounts (my own included who I never have problems with!) and the money transfer has been refused 3 times. There is absolutely no reason for this. You know a death is distressing enough without your money to find some good in this situation being held hostage. This had better be solved rapidly, it's cruel and unnecessary stress.

Seems like scam - not trustworthy
By the end of November we created a money pot for a farewell present of a colleague. As the organizer I added my payment method, when I contributed right away and followed the process of validation. But my status of profile validation was not going anywhere. I tried to contact costumer service via different phone numbers, but even the new number from the answering machine didn't work. In the meantime I became suspicious and saw very bad reviews on facebook and trustpilot. So I tried the customer service via instagram and finally got a response. Eventually after a while I got my profile validated and requested my money pot transfer on Dec 6th. In the meantime, luckily some of our money pot contributors could get their payment back by their individual banks, but half of the amount still isn't transferred. I contacted Leetchi another time 6 days ago and still get no response. We needed to buy that colleague's gift very quickly and the way they hold of our own money is unacceptable, especially when they charge additional fees for the collection. I wouldn't recommend using this platform at all.
Update: On January 6th I received a message from the help team "once you will be able to get access to your account, you will be able to ask for a new bank transfer of the right amount"
Well... Too bad I still can't access the account.
On January 10th: I got an E-mail from the help team to reset my password, which I did. But guess what? Still no access to the account.
I still believe this platform is fraud and its been more than two months I'm waiting to get my money back. I would totally avoid using this provider!

Scammers who steal your money!
I created a money pot to collect money for our managers present. It says on the website it will take up to 48 hours to see the money in your account after you request a bank transfer. 5 days later, the request has not been processed, I have not received the money, did not receive an email back when I enquired about it. As such I was forced to send a message on Instagram which was replied to 3 days later. I've been asked to be patient, when I'm out of pocket by €100, they will not give me a timeline as to when I'll receive the money. Why can they take your money from you instantly but cannot give you a timeline as to when you'll be allowed to actually receive the money?
The company is a scam, do not trust them as they'll just keep your money!
Update: Alice, you keep telling me to be patient and that someone will be in touch but won't tell me when. It's been 5 full days now and I still haven't had any communication from an agent and my bank transfer hasn't even been processed. AGAIN you should not be offering a service and continue to take money from people if you cannot fulfil the full service! There is nothing on your site to provide information that there'll be a significant delay in getting your money, so you're luring people into using you service under false pretenses. That's false advertising and is illegal!!! This is such a disgrace, this close to Christmas to leave someone without their money for this long and no guidance with how long it will take for someone to even get in touch with me never mind to receive my money. I should have read every single other review before I used your service as they all say the same thing!! Scammers!

Ich kann den ein-sterne bewertungen nur zustimmen. Auch ich kann meinen farewell pot nach ueber einen monate nicht aus den klauen von leetchi befreien.
Sogar die kontakt funktion ist nicht moeglich, da ein neuer login gefordert wird, dieser jedoch - bei verwendung gleicher login daten - nicht funktioniert! wie praktisch um nachrichten zu verhindern...
nicht dass ich mir von einer franzoesisch ansaessigen firma viel in punkto kundenfreundlichkeit erwarte, aber es ist mehr als das.
sieht mir aus als ob die organisation leetchi davon lebt dass es leuten zu bloed ist und sie ihnen ihr geld einfach ueberlassen.
ich bin am ueberlegen eine anzeige wegen unterschlagung aufzugeben.
am besten waere es wenn wir uns bei der anzeige zusammentun. bzw wenn ich noch andere geschaedigte angeben kann. oder zumindest eine beschwerde bei der bafin lancieren, schliesslich handelt es sich wohl um eine eingetragene europaeische bank. leider laesst das bewertungsportal keine eingabe von email zu ...aber maschinen :) heise2ATmailPUNKTde

leider reagiert leechi weder auf emails noch funktioniert die kontaktmoeglichkeit. ganz anders in der oeffentlichkeit: hier in trustpilot wird so getan als sei alles OK. woher kommen denn die ganzen ein sterne bewertungen?!
zu einem schlechten service gehoert nicht nur der service selbst, sondern auch die (hier gezeigte) ignoranz daran etwas zu aendern. ein wenig "forenreaktionskosmetik" - mehr ist das nicht.
ich habe mich nochmal an die vorgeschlagene email adresse gewandt und werde berichten ob ich diesmal antwort erhalte (und ob diese irgenwie zur problemloesung beitraegt).
Update 3. Feb. Auf Hilfeersuchen vom 18 Dezember nur eine vollkommen sinnfreie Rueckfrage, auf Rueckantwort dann nichts mehr.
Jetzt muss ich feststellen dass sogar mein Account geloescht wurde (ohne Hinweis Email) da auch die PW reset funktion keine Mail mehr schickt!
Da es dem Kunden unmoeglich gemacht wird an sein Geld zu kommen handelt sich es tatsaechlich um versuchten Betrug. Kein Zweifel mehr. Ich erstatte Anzeige und schicke ein paar Briefe. Ich denke jetzt ist es an der Zeit meinen Fall der c't zu schildern - fuer die Rubrik "vorsicht kunde".

I should have read the reviews before! I created an account and already collected some money for a leaving gift but I cannot spend it because so far, my ID has not been verified. I tried to call them (number does not exist) and sent them many emails without a single reply.
This is outrageous! I will never use it again.
Update 17th of December:
After this review, someone from the client service team contacted me and told me that he was able to verify my ID even though I first got an email that my ID could not be verified...
In the end, I was able to spend the money pot. I did it via bank transfer, so I hope this goes smoothly.
So all in all, this review helped to get things done but Leetchi really needs to work on their customer service. Thanks to Leetchi for taking care of this after all.
Update 20th of december:
I need to take my positive review back from 17th of december back. I requested the money to be transferred to the beneficiary's account. However, for some reason, the beneficiary's account was refused, hence I tried to have the money transferred to my own bank account, which was also refused for no reason. Sorry, aber da ist wirklich ganz viel faul an der Plattform! This is not acceptable and of course no one is getting back to me....

Seems like a scam
If this isn't a scam, its the worst run service I've encountered. I was sent a gift from some colleagues and I followed the process to upload my ID as required. Waited a few days and after not seeing any activity I tried to contact someone but that is where it fails. The Zendesk support process doesn't work, they don't answer email and the phone number is not valid. I suspect they keep the money until someone gives up or complians publicly.
Update 1 (16 Dec): Hi Alice. How do you propose I send you those details? There are a fair number of similar responses here, but without a useful mechanism to do anything. My money pot is under my name as used in this review.
Update 2 (18 Dec): I have responded to your request via Trustpilot, but I don't have a reference number as the Zendesk support process is broken. I can't login and my request to change my password doesn't arrive. All I can provide you with is the name of the money pot, which I have done.
Update 3 (22 Dec): No responses or changes inside my Leetchi.com account. My ID is still not verified and I haven't heard back from anyone other than the response below.
Update 4 (24 Dec): I got a response to my email and the process worked from there. Transferred the pot to my account and it took a day so I have my money. Still not a great experience but at least it worked in the end.

Auszahlungen ohne Grund abgelehnt
Leider haben wir das gleiche Problem, wie es hier sehr viele schildern. Schon seit 2 Monaten versuchen wir Leetchi über Telefon und E-Mail zu erreichen, aber kein Erfolg. Unsere Versuche, unser gesammeltes Geld an die zwei benannten Spendenempfänger auszuzahlen, wurde jedes Mal ohne einen Grund anzugeben, abgelehnt. Das ist gelinde gesagt, alles ein bisschen unverschämt. Es kann doch auch nicht sein, dass man bei einer Spendenplattform einfach niemanden erreicht, der einem sagen kann, wie man jetzt an das Geld kommt und welche Lösungen für das Problem gefunden werden können.

No communication!
I have opened a money pot to collect donations for a colleague that is leaving us.
Setting up the money pot and collecting the donations is really working smoothly!
Challenge is to get the money out of the money pot.
To be able to do this, you need to complete your profile. Amongst other this means to upload your ID.
On the website they state that validation of your ID can take up to 24 hours. I am already waiting for more than 2 weeks!!
No communication from them on this topic.
I have tried to reach them via the contact form on the site. No response.
I have tried to mail them. No response
I have send a reminder. No response.
In the mean time the money pot is exceeding EUR 300,- and the idea was to get our colleague a nice present before Christmas.
Alice, since I get no response via the other ways I am trying this path.
Money pot is called Joop.
Please support me in getting this arranged so we can have the money out shortly and are able to deliver the present before Christmas! Thanks!
Update 17-12-2021: after this review, I have received a mail the day after. Apparently, the picture of my ID was not good enough and I need to upload a new picture. However it is not possible for me to remove the old picture, nor is it possible for me to upload a new one. I replied this via mail....but no answer or action yet from Leetchi.
Still hoping we are able to deliver the present before Christmas....
Update 21-12-2021: Finally my new ID picture got processed yesterday. With that my profile was complete. I have requested the money transfer directly after. On the site it is stated, this can take 48 hours, but already within 24 hours the money was received.
All in all: the concept works well, but if something goes wrong it is challenging to get in contact with them.

Annoying way of doing business!
This is really annoying way of doing business with a (French) company. It's been 1 month since I tried to access a money pot my colleagues in France have opened for me to celebrate the birth of my son. I had to create an account (fine), had to change my password twice (fine) and upload my ID (fine). And now what? No access to my pot and no email, no update, nothing. And Leetchi sits on a pot with over 100 euro's...

And Alice: I have just send a mail to your customer service colleagues. I hope they will answer within 1 week, otherwise refund the money to the senders and I will be relieved their money was not lost.
What a waste of time & energy...

Potential scam
Hello,
I have created the pot, uploaded my documents, and thankfully not yet shared it with potential contributors. My ID has not been accepted since it was uploaded, and nobody answers my emails.
I feel cheated: had I shared the pot, I would not be able to get/send the money.
If this can be solved in the coming days, please do. If not, I will be using whichever of the competitors accepts my account first.
