Jacamo’s customer service is a textbook example of how not to treat paying customers, and the root cause is painfully obvious: poor leadership and ineffective management.

Despite repeated attempts to resolve a straightforward issue, Jacamo has demonstrated a complete inability — or unwillingness — to provide meaningful support. Communication is slow, inconsistent, and overwhelmingly generic, giving the clear impression that customer service is structured to delay, deflect, and exhaust customers, rather than resolve problems.

Responses, when they arrive at all, are clearly scripted and show no evidence that the issue has been properly read, understood, or investigated. Customers are passed between departments, required to repeat the same information multiple times, and reassured with vague statements that something is “being looked into” — yet nothing ever materialises.

A major contributor to this failure appears to be Jacamo’s decision to outsource customer service to low-cost overseas call centres. These agents demonstrate limited English proficiency, poor product knowledge, and a fundamental lack of understanding of effective customer service standards. The result is confusion, miscommunication, and an inability to grasp even basic issue resolution. This is not a criticism of individuals — it is a management failure to provide proper training, empowerment, and oversight.

There is no ownership, no accountability, and no urgency. Promises of follow-up are made casually and then ignored, forcing customers to chase repeatedly for the same unresolved issue. This creates the unmistakable impression that Jacamo’s strategy is to outlast the customer, hoping they will eventually give up.

For a national retailer, this level of service is completely unacceptable. Customer service should exist to solve problems and protect customer trust — not to act as a defensive shield insulating the company from responsibility. Unfortunately, that is exactly how Jacamo’s operation feels.

The outcome is predictable: frustration, wasted time, and a total loss of confidence in the brand. When a company selling clothing cannot competently manage aftersales support, returns, or basic issue resolution, it raises serious questions about its internal standards, leadership competence, and respect for customers.

Jacamo may sell products, but it fails entirely at customer care. Based on this experience, I would not recommend dealing with them unless you are prepared for delays, poor communication, and an exhausting lack of resolution.

I ordered some Size 8 Boss Trainers Item No. BA086M9 delivery for 19/2/2026 with a £4.99 delivery charge. They did not come on 19/2 or at all. But on 20/2 I got a message saying they had received the returned item, saying they would refund the cost, no mention of the delivery charge. I had not returned the item, it had never been delivered. I had to go on to the chat and seek a refund of the delivery charge. They have had the use of that and the money paid for the item for however long it takes to refund. On the chat I was told they might have been damaged by the courier. I said if they could confirm they were in stock I still wanted to buy but the person on the chat never came back. I suspect they did not have the item in stock at the time of the order. I have updated this to a three star from a one star because there was a prompt refund.

Jacamo has an easy to use website and app. Buying from them is easy, returning items could do with some improvement but what really lets them down is there customer service.

Jacamo like so many other companies employ people to work in customer service who have absolutely no skills, experience or just basic common sense when dealing with customers.

I'd be embarrassed if I was employing people that couldn't do the job on such a basic level and if I was the person doing the job I'd be very ashamed of hoe rubbish I was at doing that job.

I have been chasing a refund for a return since the beginning of January. It is over £600. I keep ringing what I think is a call centre in Africa somewhere and getting no where. When I email, they email me back asking the same questions: name address account number, copy of receipt, copy of email from evri. I keep sending them and I am getting nowhere. So frustrating I could scream!!!!

Sent some t-shirts back as the collars went baggy on a couple after a few washes. I purchased v neck to I know it wasn't something I did.
They wouldn't accept my return as they said they were worn (which they were), although the the quality of the item was not satisfactory.
These t-shirt are not cheap but feel good, although if it's quality is not up to par then I would expect a refund which was refused.
I will not be using jacamo again, and I won't be recommending it to others

Telephone customer service are really really rude and talk to you like a dog. I’ll never deal with Jacamo again

Used to use the company a lot. As a big guy, this was one of the best suited stores for plus size menswear that was still a bit fashionable.
However, recently my orders keep being cancelled without any explanation and that's quite frankly crazy. I never even knrw that it was cancelled the first time until I went to check, after weeks of not receiving my order, if I forgot to place the order and saw it was cancelled on my account.

Very dissapointed - bought a suit which developed fading on the sleeves and they came back to me a couple of times and now will not reply to my emails. They took their time to look as though you have had the item for ages! The suit was expensive and is faulty! Very poor service! Should they respond to my 1 star review I will be sure to respond back.

Good service good product well priced

I ordered size 7 trainers - they sent me size 10 inside a box that said size 7 inside - I paid an extra £1 for next day delivery £5.99 in total - they have refunded me for the shoes but not my £5.99 postage as if its my fault!
Is this company in trouble financially? Are they going under?

I rarely complain but from start to finish, my experience with Jacamo has been awful. Across 2 consecutive orders, I received 3 wrong sizes, 3 poor quality/faulty items and 3 cancelled items. I tried to contact customer services multiple times and I've been sent an automatic reply (with the information that is easily accessible online) and then ignored, stuck in an AI loop trying to speak to an agent, and then had to wait an hour to speak to someone on webchat. When I was finally able to speak to a human, it timed me out a minute later (I was halfway through replying) and put back in a queue. I spoke to 3 different agents because of this issue and it took me 1.5 hours to find information that should have been easy to access online.

When I asked to raise a complaint, I was told that they didn't have a specific process to share with me but that my comments would be passed on to the relevant team for review. Ironically, I was timed out for this too just for my efforts to be lost in a black hole.

Also be careful with return periods - most online retailers have a generous extended returns period over Christmas, however Jacamo only accepts returns until 10th Jan and it will take you 3 attempts at contacting customer services + an hour and a half of sitting in queues to find out this info!!

Very easy payment

The worst customer service ive ever known . Reported to trading standards as they sent my parcel , was delivered to someone else and have still not investigated and refunded me since before christmas despite me sending proof , asking for it to be investigated , asking for a complaint to be raised and emailing and calling 100's of times . Scammers

Jacamo cancelled my order and when I asked customer services was told the item was out of stock. The item is still showing as available, just at a much higher price.

Customer service also responded with template answers and one reply was the following:

I’m really sorry to hear about your experience regarding ((INSRT CUST’S ISSUE)). I sincerely apologise for any trouble this has caused.

Saw a deal for a product priced extremely low. Maybe a misprice but I suspect it may have been a way to harvest new user data. Item cancelled with no email sent or explanation given. Klarna payment still taken and no refund initiated as they said they hadn’t processed payment. Still showing active. Poor untrustworthy company. This happened to numerous other users of the deal site also.
