How long on average does there delivery’s take as it is not stated on the website?

We had to wait longer than expected for our bedroom furniture but it was worth the wait it is gorgeous, the furniture is solid wood just as described on the website, great value for the money & looks amazing, we would recommend this company & would certainly buy from them again

Your delivery drivers Rob and Lee were very helpful and polite. We couldn't have got the furniture up the stairs on our own. It looks great in the room

We ordered some drawers in December 2020, and had not received them by the start of April 2021. We then had a poor experience cancelling our order and obtaining a refund from Island Furniture, which took a number of weeks to resolve.

Following our review posted on Trust Pilot we received a response from Island Furniture very quickly and the refund was processed (as per the company response below).

We have subsequently been contacted on Island Furniture's behalf by 'AC Media Solutions' threatening formal legal action if our previous review (describing our experience) is not removed.

We consider our matter to have been resolved, so have removed the details of our complaint to avoid any litigation.

Overall we found their customer service to be far below the standard we expected. Based on our own experience, we would not buy from Island Furniture again.

We are still waiting. Why WHY do they not return calls and emails. As a common courtesy you would expect this. I will review regularly until I get an answer. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!T

We unfortunately never received our order confirmation and had to call up for this to be sent to us as email communication hasn't been answered every time we've sent one to customer services. There was in total a 9-week wait on our furniture, but we were told week on week it would be 'in next week' - every time we rang...' next week' - 'next week'. This went on for some time until magically it was in the warehouse! Upon collection, the warehouse guy was helpful and friendly. Just wish they'd have been upfront it was going to be 9 weeks, not lead us down the garden path each week with false promises.

We have had our furniture about 3 months now and cannot fault it, lovely finish and solidly built and the wifey is very happy , Gerry

Very poor communication. Item ordered on 2/11/20. I was assured it would arrive before Christmas. In fact I changed my order on the phone when the sales person said the item I originally wanted wouldn't arrive in time. Come mid December, I still hadn't heard anything. Phoned several times and emailed twice. No response. I eventually managed to speak to someone who said they would look into it for me. No return phone call. Rang again to be told it wouldn't arrive in time but would be early January and they would be in touch. Guess what? Nothing from them. Contacted them mid January to be told they should arrive in the warehouse the following week, and they would be in touch regarding delivery. Again no contact. Spoke with someone Friday and finally delivery was arranged for the week after.
Happy with product, until we noticed that one of the drawers was broken at the back. We hadn't noticed this intially as it was out of sight. Contacted the firm with photos of broken drawer, to be told that I had to send it back for them to patch up and that I had to pay my own post and packaging! I said I wanted a new drawer sending out as the product they sent was damaged, and I'd spent a lot of money on this item. Several phone calls later - broken promises of getting back to me - they now still insist that they won't pay the return costs, can't send me a replacement drawer, but they can send me a little pot of paint so I can paint over the broken area. The area is BROKEN, it's not going to be fixed by a lick of paint.
Absolutely appaling customer service and I would never buy from them again or recommend them to anyone. The furniture itself is nice and this has been a big disappointment to me. I totally appreciate the supply difficulties due to Covid, but this complaint is about their communication and customer service. Delivery delays can't be helped in the current situation.

BEWARE of this business. They state an estimated 8 weeks lead time. I'm on my 10th week now, not a word from them or any courtesy to communicate about the delay. So I phoned them only to be told it will be another 4 weeks waiting time with no guarantee so I could be waiting for nothing just like the last 10 weeks. Their arrogant customer service left me with no choice but to demand a cancellation and full refund. What a waste of 10 weeks. I could have spent that time already enjoying the furniture I can buy from someone else.

like most people on this site, I was very happy with the furniture (sleigh bed) and the staff are extremely helpful and polite. like most people also, I experienced some delays getting the furniture. I had read the reviews before ordering so was expecting the delay. now that I received the furniture I intend to order more.

After shopping around for some time for bedroom furniture we eventually settled with The Island Furniture Co. Our experience from start to finish was excellent despite the fact that there were so many un-knowns as we purchased mid-October with the Christmas rush, Covid and Brexit looming. The furniture arrived very well packaged and we are glad to say, a beautiful set of bedroom pieces. The two people we dealt with were positive,assuring and professional and they delivered. A nice touch at the end was a carved bowl, a small but valued and appreciated gift. I would have no hesitation in returning to purchase again in The Island Furniture Co. Tom from Ireland

Great company to deal with, prompt and fast payment and very friendly

We ordered a custom made, 7 foot long sleigh bed, and are absolutely thrilled - it is simply beautiful and was very straightforward to assemble.

We live in Ireland and ordered the bed on 28th August, 2020.

We were told to expect delivery in 8-10 weeks.

In our hearts, we knew that, realistically, it was unlikely that we would receive delivery of our bed within 10 weeks, particularly in light of the pandemic and related issues. We were happy to receive the bed by the end of December.

Our bed arrived on 16th December and, so, there was a 15.5 week wait.

BUT, IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!

Great value, perfect mahogany polished nutmeg sleigh bed. Looks smashing in our bedroom.

We knew we were taking a risk in ordering from overseas but it was a wise decision.

I would advise anybody considering ordering from Island Furniture to add 5 or 6 weeks to expected delivery date, be patient, and you will be very happy with your purchase.

We ordered our furniture in Sept 2020 and we have still not received delivery!

We were told it would be 4-6 weeks, not 5 months or more. Keep being told it will be definately be in the warehouse next week and someone will call us back. This NEVER happens.....EVER! They basically lie to you.

We understand that, as our order was bespoke, it may take a little longer and do not doubt that, due to the pandemic, production has slowed down....but 5 months? REALLY?? We only ordered a bed and a wardrobe, not a house full of furniture!!

Incredibly poor customer service from this company and it feels as though they have basically robbed us. Should we not hear back ASAP we shall request a refund as this is a joke and would NOT recommend them. I could have made the furniture quicker myself.

Judging by other reviews, others have also experienced the same issues and Island Furniture really need to step up their game.

Just had our telephone bar delivered on Dec 23 just in time for the holidays. Thank you to the helpful driver who moved the item to the 1st floor. It looks fab !

Ordered furniture on the 9th Dec for a Xmas present, received an invoice on 9th Dec via email of my order and made contact on the 10th Dec via telephone as the invoice did'nt state french ivory for the foot stool i ordered but did on the dressing table.
Via a telephone conversation on the 10th Dec i was promised the stool was french ivory and i was asked for my telephone number for the courier service on delivery all good i thought.
Made contact on the 18th Dec asking for an update on delivery, agent said ill take your number and get back to you which No contact was made.
Monday 21st Dec 09,30 made contact and got an answer we'll get you a early morning this morning by a Irish agent.
Monday 21st Dec 14,21 rang again asking where is my order and i was told i'm sorry but we only have part of your order and we are waiting for your foot stool to come in.
I asked why did no one contact me and why did the first lady i contact via telephone on the 10th Dec regarding my order state that the stool is french ivory and take my number for delivery? There response was you where sent an email and a telephone voicemail. THAT IS B****HIT as i've checked this, the lady also said she would check the warehouse and ring me back guess what Never rang back.
Secondly why did the first or second agent not tell me that the foot stool was outa stock when i rang?
£669 spent for a xmas present that will never arrive.

We run a guest house and we had quite a few orders from Island Furniture over the year. The quality of the furniture is second to none and the delivery teams are always helpful and on time. Would recommend Island Furniture

I cancelled this order because they kept changing delivery date and terms. A refund was promised three weeks ago and has still not been made. Have now had to involve the credit card company. THEY DO NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO!!

Very helpful when I was making an order. I explained I
would only make purchase if they could guarantee I would not get delivery from a courier as they do doorstep delivery. I paid for premium assembly delivery this meant item would be taken to room of choice and assembled. On delivery day courier arrived and I was left with bed on doorstep and then had to pay somebody to move item and assemble for me. No response from them and refund has not been given for the service I didn’t receive. Very poor customer service.

Placed order for a mahogany bed 3 Aug 2020, arrived 12 Nov 20. The bed is just great no problems and looks lovely. Now the only comment I will make is that customer service needs to follow up their promises - this is how it went: we call with order number to check delivery 8 weeks after order, customer service (very polite) we will get to you this afternoon - call never comes. Ring again next day, we will get back to you tomorrow, call never comes. This is repeated time after time. we were very close to raising a PayPal dispute when we suddenly received an e-mail bed has arrived. All this customer frustration could be alleviated by 1). Giving the customer regular updates, say twice a month even if no delivery date, it lets customer know they are not forgotten. 2). If you say you will call back please keep your promise. No doubt, the bed was worth the wait.
