All the staff we came in contact with…
All the staff we came in contact with were very helpful and polite. The goods were delivered by Lee and David who arrived on time. They brought everything into the house and showed great respect for our new flooring. Second to none and extremely pleasant. Thank you both.

What a beautiful table!
The choice in the showroom of dining tables was excellent. We were loooking for something very specific and we found it. The salesman was most helpful. The delivery guys Lee and David were great, they cheerfully built the table and showed me how to operate it and look after it. Great experience!

Not FREE delivery! Just travelled from New Mills to HU in Oldham to look at some dining chairs ( Tamara ) @£159.00 each I asked for 4 then was told it would be £117.00 delivery eventhough the website states free delivery.
Assistant didnt give two hoots will not be returning REPLY

We would like to clarify that the delivery options available online can differ from those offered in-store. The Tamara dining chairs you were interested in are available to purchase online, where customers can choose either DPD delivery for £29 or collect free of charge from our Distribution Centre, located 2 minutes drive from the store.
Free delivery, as advertised online, applies to smaller items and not furniture pieces such as dining chairs, which require a specialist delivery service.
We apologise if this was not clearly explained during your visit and for any frustration caused. We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments and will ensure your feedback is passed on to the relevant team.

Lee and Dave were efficient when delivering and fitting my new sofa and chairs. They were pleasant to speak to and left the room tidy. All packaging was removed.

Great sofa service first class
Had our sofa delivered today kept us updated on time of arrival.
Very nice chaps Lee and David who told us to sit back relax let us do what we do best - delivered straight into the house and all packaging taken away.

Delivery of 2 x Leather Hardy sofas by Chris & Sean
Today 3/6/26 we had 2 x Leather Hardy sofas delivered. The size of the items made getting through our front door & vestibule a challenge. I would like to sincerely thank both Chris & Sean (our delivery guys) for the professional & friendly way they resolved the difficulty. Our two sofas are now in our lounge & they are outstanding. BEWARE OF USING HOUSING UNITS TO BUY GOODS
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IN FACT AS I HAVE SAID BELOW "NO CUSTOMER CARE IF FAULTY" - I HAVE JUST READ SEVERAL OTHER CUSTOMERS REVIEWS STATING NO CUSTOMER CARE IF FAULTY ....
I purchased a Medina display cabinet which retails at £2200. I have spent thousands of pounds over the last few years with H U. Although I purchased as a display item it was inspected by me and a furniture manager and there was only a small scratch on the wood and it cost me £629
Because I thought I was moving when I have purchased all my Medina furniture I have kept it all in boxes. The Medina unit was covered in plastic. Unfortunately the house move fell through. As I intend to move I have still kept everything covered.
Last Tuesday 26/5/26 I was in the garden when I heard loud bangs and discovered the glass coming out of the cabinet. I had had this 2 years and 3 months.
I spoke to H U a Customer Care Manager (Steve) who basically said you have had it over 12 months so cant do anything, company policy. This is ridiculous there was obviously a fault with the glass! All Steve could say was sorry, he couldnt have cared less, not a sorry bone in his body
SO IF YOU BUY GOODS FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL DO NOTHING IF PURCHASED LONGER THAN 12 MONTHS.
They havent offered to come and look at it. What if the glass had come out when a person or animal was around it! It is now costing me £900 to replace!They have also confirmed that they would have been a fault with the glass
Housing units need to spend less money on doormen,vans advertising the firm and delivery mens uniforms etc and put more into customer care!

We are disappointed to read that you are dissatisfied with our decision.
It is important to clarify that the cabinet in question was purchased as a clearance display item at a substantially reduced price. Before purchase, the item was inspected and accepted with a known cosmetic mark, which was reflected in the discounted selling price.
The cabinet had been in your possession for over two years before this incident occurred, during which time no concerns or faults were reported. Given the length of time that had elapsed since purchase, and the fact that the item had remained stored at your property throughout that period, we were unable to conclude that the glass failure was the result of an inherent manufacturing defect.
Whilst we appreciate how disappointing and frustrating this situation must have been, we cannot accept responsibility for glass breakage occurring more than two years after delivery, where there is no evidence of a product fault. For this reason, we were unable to offer a replacement cabinet or replacement glass.
Your case was reviewed thoroughly by our Customer Care team, and the responses provided were agreed upon following a full assessment of the information available. Whilst we respect your right to disagree with our decision, we believe the matter was considered fairly and in line with our policies.

After spending £62 with delivery on a reed diffusser the stopper was so difficult to get off had a knife trying to prise it open the whole thing slipped onto the floor smashed to tiny pieces emailed sent pics etc then was told it’s your fault which I know it was but it was so difficult to open . I thought as a gesture of good will they may have replaced it No was the answer very disappointed .

The stoppers used on these diffusers are intentionally designed to be a tight fit to help prevent leakage during storage and transit. However, we appreciate your comments regarding the difficulty you experienced when trying to remove the stopper, and we have passed this feedback on to the supplier for their review.
From your description and email to our Customer Care Team, we understand that the stopper was particularly difficult to remove and that, while attempting to open it using a knife, some of the fragrance leaked onto the bottle, making it slippery. Unfortunately, this caused the diffuser to slip from your hands and smash on the kitchen floor.
We are genuinely sorry for the frustration and upset this caused. Whilst we are unable to accept responsibility for accidental damage that occurs during use, customer feedback is extremely important to us and we have ensured that your comments have been shared with the supplier so they can consider whether any improvements can be made to the packaging and stopper design.

Just perfect in every way
Found the perfect sofas at an amazing price in store. Unfortunately we were in the process of moving house and had nowhere to store them. No problem at all for the staff, really helpful ladies kept me informed of stock levels and I returned 5 weeks later when I finally had the keys to order which was when I was delighted to find that they had been reduced by a further £1000.
Kept informed by delivery lady via telephone. Delivered by two smiley, happy, chatty guys in furniture bags on time and as promised. Put together in the lounge and admired by both them and us.
The sofas are fabulous quality for the price we paid and from beginning to end our experience with the staff in store, the communication with the delivery team and the delivery guys who took every care whilst handling them was exceptional.
What an absolutely perfect experience and quality of furniture bought at a fabulous price. Staff are a credit to the firm! If I could give 10 stars I would! Thanks Housing Units :-)!

My dining table came with a small black…
My dining table came with a small black mark literally less than a week ago and they seem this not a fault and told me to go to the Ombudsman. Complaints team have no ounce of customer service and was not willing to help. Just said as we’re not a fault basically sod off. I’ve asked can they examine it so they can even see what I mean as let’s face it pictures are not the true thing and is 100 not part of the table as 1 random mark out of place. Will leave a review on all site to warn others of this issue, as if you also want to then return as within your rights you get charged £95 for a return 558046 already posted a review and nobody looked at this

After reviewing the images provided, our Customer Service team advised that the small black mark shown is part of the natural finish and character of the table rather than a manufacturing fault. This assessment was also confirmed by our Quality team. We did explain that, due to the nature of the material and finish, a replacement table is likely to contain similar or potentially more noticeable markings.
We appreciate that you may not agree with this outcome and understand your frustration. Our team did advise that, should you remain unhappy with our decision, you are entitled to seek independent advice through the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman or discuss the matter further with our store team.
We hope that this helps to provide some clarity.
