Customer service was very poor
Customer service was very poor, waited over 3 hours for my car. Came on a 2 hour train journey never again just wanted my car was on the verge of collapsing Rehan, was helping me through out the whole process & reassured me that this will get sorted & also offered to order me food after getting emotional.

I have had a very good experience of buying a car through Hippo. From the enquiry through to reaching Matthew Knowles on the process in sales on purchasing and then receiving the car this morning from Nick. Great communication throughout, I would highly recommend this company. To be honest a breath of fresh on customer service when buying the car. Well informed, polite and attentive answering all queries. A trusted company with good processes in place for everything.

Alan was a mint lad
Alan was a mint lad, he had a little issue with traffic so was delayed a little. He let me know inadvance and was well informed on my vehicle. Cannot fault this company, from start to finish it was an absolute breeze.

I have recently had a turbo boost issue…
I have recently had a turbo boost issue which has been rectified through the warranty however the fault hasn't changed and is now worse than ever.
I have requested for a refund but they are refusing to reply to me.
I am now having to seek legal action against hippo motor group.
To add i have since reported the company to Trading Standards as I am currently left unable to drive the car and am still paying for finance
I have a son who I need to use the car to drop him off and pick him up from his mums and also for getting to work and am unable to do so

First car buying experience with Hippo, overall is has been a very easy process. Thomas did bend over backwards for us in finding the right car at the right price. Had a location change to collect the vehicle but Matt in Peterborough was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

Initially went to view the car I wanted…
Initially went to view the car I wanted to buy and it was dirty on the exterior (very dusty) but I didn’t think much of it at the time and still tried to have a good look at the exterior condition of the car. When it came to the purchase day, I realised that the reason they may have not cleaned it is because once clean you could see all of the imperfections (stone chips & some light scratches). This was disappointing to see at purchase day when I did not see any of this at the test drive day.
This was an EV so I was told that it would be fully charged when I pick it up as I needed to get back to work. However the car was on 15% battery charge on the day of pick up, this was also disappointing as then I had to waste time by going to a fast charger instead of going straight back to work.
It’s the little things like this that just put a downer on the whole process which should be fully enjoyable.

I would definitely deal with Hippo again ...as a first choice!
Although we never met face to face, I had such good service from Hippo in the person of Callum Ali. Nothing was too much trouble, even when the deal fell through because of vehicle problems at my end, Callum managed to unscramble the purchasing process without great cost to me.
The company seems to have a super large stock and I would definitely deal with Hippo again ...as a first choice!

Purchased a e208 online partx my car…
Purchased a e208 online partx my car 508 asked the young lady I was dealing with if car is fully moted and serviced before delivery I was told yes totally all done took delivery on 9 th July only to find service not done and hadn’t been for well over 12 months nearly 15 email sent got offered £79 to get sorted they sent a link of some random garage in Peterborough that come to you but no show so I’ve had to search around for a garage to do found one finally had done today and walked away with a bill of £300 as tyres needed 2 front as were cracked and beyond repair wiper blades all split been replaced yet not was done on 1st July I got car on 9th July service on 29th July yet hippo failed to take responsibility of a vehicle that should not be on the road with cracked tyres dangerous at speed possible blowout was what I was told today and should of had an advisory on mot to get changed hippo think they are ok to offer £100 goodwill gesture to cover the service they failed to do pre delivery of a vehicle
Please stay away from this company a blow out can cause an accident or death and they don’t think that this issue is their problem
