Excellent work from Alan Deadman, despite ongoing issues with my new build
I’ve had ongoing issues with my property since moving into my new build from The Hill Group, including problems with mould. More recently, things became significantly worse after a pipe leak from the flat above caused water ingress across a large part of my property.
Understandably, dealing with this has been incredibly frustrating, particularly in a relatively new home. However, I want to take the time to recognise the work carried out by Alan Deadman, who has been absolutely brilliant throughout the process.
Alan has been at my property for two days and has worked extremely hard to address the damage and mould. He has single-handedly treated the affected mould, thoroughly sanded the damaged areas and repainted four rooms. The amount of work he has managed to complete on his own in such a short period of time has been genuinely impressive.
What stood out to me most was Alan’s attitude and work ethic. He was professional, hardworking and clearly took pride in the standard of his work. He didn’t simply do a quick cosmetic job; he took the time to properly prepare the affected areas, treat the mould, sand everything down and repaint the rooms so they were left looking clean and presentable again.
After having to deal with ongoing problems with the property, it was refreshing to have someone come in who was clearly committed to resolving the issues properly. Alan was also respectful of my home throughout the work, which makes a big difference when someone is working across several rooms.
I think it’s important to separate my experience of the wider issues with the property from the individual people who are sent out to resolve them. While I have unfortunately had a number of problems with my new build, Alan deserves particular recognition for the work he has done and the effort he has put in over the last two days.
Thank you, Alan, for your hard work. Having four rooms treated, sanded and repainted after the water ingress has made a huge difference, and your effort has been greatly appreciated.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Alan Deadman based on the work he has carried out at my property. He is a credit to the team.

A request for Paul C specifically
I requested Paul C to return to my property to carry out some other jobs that I had not noticed during my first 7 day snagging visit. I asked for Paul C to return as he was fantastic the first time round and continued to do so on his second visit. His consideration and attention to detail was excellent and his approach to working round the house to minimise impact on me while i joined work calls was excellent. I really appreciated his hard work and attention to detail, a very skilled and experienced tradesman.
