They were kind in assisting us with our rental, making the process smooth and efficient from start to finish. The vehicle was ready on time, and they ensured all our questions were answered thoroughly.
I rented a car from Hertz on Peters Creek Pkwy. In Winston-Salem, NC on June 30, 2026 for the purpose of taking a friend to have surgery very early on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. At 6 am on Wednesday I was on my way to pick my friend up and the car’s right back tire blew, which caused me to have to call another friend at the last minute to rush my friend to his surgery while I waited (1 hr. 20 min.) for AAA to change the tire. While I was waiting I had time to exam the tires on the car (KIA). I found three different makes of tires on the car and the one that blew looked older than the other tires. The one that blew had an area on the tire that showed a flaw separate from the hole in the sidewall of the tire that caused the tire to blow in the first place. Once the tire was replaced, I immediately returned the car to Hertz and was able to get another car so I could transport my friend back home from his surgery. I have talked with the Branch Manager, Mitch Molde about the matter and told him I should only be charged for one day rental instead of two days rental because I was not able to use the car for its full intended purpose, which was to pick up my friend, take him to the surgery center, and then take him back home. I have spoken with Mitch Molde by phone twice and he still has not gotten back with me on the matter. I placed another call to him today (7/6/26) and left a message and he has not returned my call and it is 10 minutes to closing time. I am asking for the restitution of $32.33 plus tax to be refunded back to my American Express. Thank you, Martha Stroud
