I have been a Hertz Gold member for over ten years and have consistently received great service and clean vehicles—until a recent rental at the Austin location.

We reserved a minivan to accommodate family and luggage. Unfortunately, the vehicle had clearly not been cleaned properly between rentals: the rear cabin and seats were covered in crumbs and grit. Worse than the dirt was the smell. When we first opened the doors, we were hit with an overpowering chemical deodorizer. Within an hour, that air freshener wore off to reveal the foul odor it was masking, forcing us to drive with the windows down just to make the ride bearable.

Paying a premium rate for a full-size passenger vehicle only to receive an uncleaned, foul-smelling interior was incredibly disappointing. My only regret was not turning right around at the exit gate to swap it out.

The minivan was dirty with cups inside, had missing door trim and scratches, etc. I used it for a wedding and it looked poor

Terrific, above and beyond, Customer Service at the Hertz desk and at the kiosk as we exited the Hertz facility and a great Chevy Blazer rental!

Hertz at Austin airport has always been, smooth, easy, friendly and fast for me. Their vehicles have always been neat and clean, I’ve never encountered any vehicle issues. Overall the process at this location was and has always been incredibly efficient.

I had a great experience renting the car. The only issue is the insurance costs almost as much renting the car!

I arrived and found good choices in cars for my rental. The car served us well.

We do not rent vehicles often, but this airport, this process was seamless. The only note I would make is on the email to the renter stating the Hertz garage is located just past the right side of the Hertz counter inside.

Staff was friendly, prompt, and professional.

Picking up the rental car was super easy. The vehicle worked great. No performance issues. The only issue was inside the car. The driver's seat had a huge stain on it that should not have been there. I looked at other vehicles but they all had similar interior issues. Not a big deal but it should be addressed for Hertz's rental fleet.

Price for rental was good. Courteous staff. Great vehicles.
