I paid $197 for Heropost’s PRO LIFETIME plan to support them early on and was promised full, unlimited lifetime access to their social media management tool. That meant unlimited accounts and future integrations — exactly what you expect when you hand over a big wedge of cash to back a platform.
Now they’ve pulled a bait-and-switch: TikTok and other integrations are locked behind new paid plans, and even adding accounts is restricted unless you “upgrade.” Their excuse? They claim it’s a “new platform,” as if that somehow cancels the lifetime deal. It doesn’t — under UK law (Consumer Rights Act 2015, Misrepresentation Act 1967) you can’t just re-label a product to strip away what was sold.
This is a disgusting way to treat loyal early adopters. Instead of honouring their promises, they try to wriggle out of them with a cheapskate move. Pathetic.
Chargeback requested — I suggest others do the same.

Ich arbeite seit Jahren mit Heropost (geht leider nicht anders, wenn du mal "Lifetime Deals" abgeschlossen und Posts Monate im voraus erarbeitet hast) und kann nur jedem abraten. Kurzform reicht hier nicht, weil die Probleme massiv sind:
1. Abzocke mit „Lifetime Deals“
Heropost kassiert Geld, verspricht dir lebenslangen Zugang – und deaktiviert später einfach die gebuchten Leistungen. Danach musst du ein neues Abo abschließen. Schon mehrfach passiert.
2. Instabile Technik
Die Plattform verliert regelmäßig die Verbindung zu Instagram, Facebook & Co. Das allein wäre schon ärgerlich, aber es wird schlimmer: Alle geplanten Posts verschwinden. Wenn man Monate im Voraus plant, ist das ein Totalausfall – Zeit und Geld futsch.
3. Unzuverlässig für Profis
Wer professionell arbeitet, braucht Planungssicherheit. Mit Heropost gibt es die nicht. Statt Unterstützung liefert die Plattform Frust und doppelte oder dreifache Arbeit.
Fazit: Hero Post ist für seriöse Arbeit unbrauchbar. Wer sich Ärger, Kosten und verlorene Zeit ersparen will, sollte dringend die Finger davon lassen.

Heropost Lifetime Access is a Scam
I bought hero post in September 23 2021. I was supposed to have PRO Lifetime access on the account.
I was supposed to have access to unlimited accounts and unlimited posting to: Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn (profile and business page), Reddit, Pinterest, Youtube. I payed $197.
And they cut access to most of the accounts and now they give me a promotional code to buy again the lifetime access with 35% discount. What a shame I already was supposed to have access to what I payed and now they don't honor their price. If you use them you will end up in my situation in a few years.
I asked them for a refund to my lifetime access and they refused even tho I provided evidence with what I payed and what I was supposed to get. I also asked to get access to what I payed and they refused. They stoped replying to my messages I have all the email chain saved. I wish I can post for all of you, all the email conversation, to see how they treat their initial customers.

Misleading Practices, Poor Service & Unauthorized Charges – AVOID HEROPOST
We originally joined Heropost under their "lifetime" access model, which was heavily promoted with promises of ongoing updates and new features. These promises were never fulfilled — the platform was rarely updated, buggy, and often completely unusable. We were eventually forced to "upgrade" to a paid plan to access basic functionality, despite paying for lifetime access.
The upgraded system was a major letdown. It was slow, constantly crashing, and failed to publish scheduled posts more often than not. For a platform designed to save time and streamline social media, it did the complete opposite — we wasted more time trying to make it work than it ever saved us.
The real issue, however, came with their billing. Heropost charged us for a renewal without sending any notice, and we did not agree to an ongoing subscription. Our account hadn’t even been used since June 2024, yet they still took a full annual payment without warning, removing our ability to cancel in advance.
When we contacted support, they flatly refused a refund, hid behind their vague terms of service, and claimed the charge was non-refundable – even though we were never told this would automatically renew, nor were we given the opportunity to opt out.
This behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s unethical and borders on fraudulent. We are now:
Taking legal action
Reporting this to our bank as a fraudulent charge
Filing complaints with consumer protection authorities
Publicly sharing our experience to prevent others from falling into the same trap
Avoid Heropost at all costs. Their platform is unreliable, their business practices are deceptive, and their customer service shows no concern for fairness or transparency.

Misleading Lifetime Deal - Key Features Removed
I feel completely misled by Heropost's so-called "lifetime" deal. When I purchased, I was promised essential features like unlimited workspaces, unlimited social profiles, and posting to Google My Business. Now, after a platform change, these features have been ripped away, rendering the product far less useful and nowhere near what I paid for.
This is a blatant bait-and-switch. Selling a "lifetime" license, only to remove critical features later, is deceptive and unethical. This Was a Mistake
About six months ago, someone I trust recommended Heropost to me. Unfortunately, it quickly proved to be a disaster. Posts were missing, and I had to fix their errors manually. Then came the so-called ‘platform upgrade.’ Despite being a lifetime member, they had the nerve to ask me to ‘upgrade’ my subscription. Wait, what? That’s when I realized I was being scammed. Naturally, I refused.
But things got worse. When their new platform launched, none of my posts—over 2.5 years’ worth of content with three posts a week—were migrated. It seemed like punishment for refusing to upgrade. These underhanded tactics are unacceptable and need to be exposed.
When I emailed customer service (yes, email in this day and age!), they took three hours to respond with a flimsy excuse. I replied, and—surprise—I never heard back. If you’re considering a social media management platform, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are plenty of better options that won’t waste your time or money.

SCAM! I signed up for the lifetime plan. Everything went well for 2 years. Then they decided to "update their platform" and I was forced to use the new platform which had 2 main features I used taken away. They are not trustworthy
They are not trustworthy. They promised a lifetime deal with all future upgrades, but after just 1.5 years, I’ve already lost access to many features. Now they’re asking me to subscribe to a monthly plan. It feels like they’re starting to scam people. Even if I subscribe again, it’s not worth it because the platform has too many problems. I wouldn’t recommend them. Stay away from this kind of business.

Thank you for sharing your feedback — we’re sorry to hear that and we’d like to provide some clarity.
If you purchased a lifetime plan, you still have lifetime access to all the core features that were originally included. This includes unlimited posting and unlimited social accounts for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest, Telegram, and LinkedIn. You are not required to subscribe to a monthly plan to retain access to these features.
The recent platform upgrade was a major step forward, bringing performance improvements, bug fixes, and long-requested features. All lifetime users were upgraded to this new platform at no additional cost, and no core functionality from the original plan has been taken away.
That said, some features — such as Google Business — were impacted due to changes in third-party APIs, which were unfortunately outside our control. We understand that this can be frustrating and we’re always transparent about such changes when they arise.
