Big shout out to Patricia DC from HATS team for handling patient’s discharge with compassion and dedication.

She went far and beyond to make sure that patient was transferred to a care home before the cut off time for admission.

She worked on a very tight schedule but in a very friendly manner making sure that cognitively impaired patient was calm and comfortable.

I would like to provide positive feedback regarding the excellent support I received from Aleksandra today.
I needed to arrange transport for a patient at very short notice, and due to the patient’s frailty and vulnerability, the situation required urgent and sensitive handling. Aleksandra immediately took over and contacted the patient directly on my behalf, ensuring everything was arranged quickly and smoothly.
She was incredibly efficient, professional, and compassionate throughout the process, and her support made a significant difference in what could have been a very difficult situation. Her help was greatly appreciated, and I wanted to ensure her outstanding work was recognised.

They made my first transport journey a pleasure and they are a massive asset to your company

I would like to recognise the exceptional efforts of Ali Balal, Simeon, and Imran from the transport team. They went above and beyond to coordinate a crew at short notice to support the discharge of a tracheostomy patient with learning disabilities who was becoming increasingly distressed. Their proactive approach ensured the patient was able to leave the Trust promptly, avoiding a delayed discharge that could have resulted in significant distress for both the patient and family.

By creatively utilising all available on-site personnel, the team demonstrated outstanding teamwork, compassion, and commitment to patient-centred care. Their actions made a meaningful difference to the patient experience and exemplified the values we strive to uphold.

Appreciation and thanks to drivers Andre and Balfour who transferred my friend from one home address to another. My friend was a bit nervous to be transferred to the carry chair, both ACAs transferred with due care and attention. My friend had a smooth journey with conversation flowing, all jovial and polite and all his needs seen to. Both a credit to your company.

I was transferred from Kingston Hospital last night ( Saturday) by two lovely attentive crews members called Mahad and Daniel (who drove carefully of course!) Can I just say that they were both so wonderful and treated me like a princess, (a Scottish one ☺️. )They are a great addition to your busy crew and I commend them both .

Can not fault the driver Carlton and escort farhat. A few teething problems with the organisation of the routes but was rectified promptly. My son happily goes to school and says that they have jokes with the team. He is comfortable in their care and I feel confident he is safe. The driver and escort always keep me updated on traffic and very accommodating with sickness or if he is having a stressful morning. 5stars to driver and escort. We hope to see you both in September.

We so appreciate HATS Transport but the service could be better. Why, today, when I advised the HATS team that my mum needed to go for a blood test (booked) before her respiratory clinic appointment, did this not happen? We were ready two hours before the appointment time as requested. In fact we were ready three hours before. The team arrived 10 mins before the appointment time. So already a lot of time waiting even before getting to the hospital and added anxiety due to the late pick up. When I got to the hospital I went straight to the blood test section and waited 40 mins. When I went to the respiratory clinic, just after her appointment time, mum was waiting there. And had been there some time. As I say the service is appreciated but could be improved.

HATS at GOSH provide an excellent service, communications are great, drivers are friendly and polite as well as ensuring a safe journey for the patient as well as relatives. During the hot weather air con was put on to provide comfort for the journey. Excellent service. The staff as a whole package from transport desk to driver and health and safety is paramount and such a great team. All friendly and the service is tight but polite. I cannot praise them and thank them enough. This is not about one specific journey but numerous and various over a 6 year span. Makes appointments at GOSH enjoyable and safe. Drivers have excellent driving skills as well as making sure whoever they transport is safe, relaxed and comfortable. I take my hat off to those at GOSH transport system. Brilliant.

Taylor and Caitlin picked me up from Orpington hospital and took me home, they were 2 of the best drivers I've ever been in the ambulance with, they were so kind and helpful and a brilliant music taste (they asked me what music I liked), they also helped rearrange my package of care and was helpful inside the house too. Thanks girls

On the evening of 2 June, we were transferred by ambulance from Queen Elizabeth Hospital to King’s College Hospital and taken to the Neurosurgery Department. Our ambulance crew, Ano and Simon, were absolutely wonderful.

We were extremely worried and stressed at the time. Unfortunately, some of the basic procedures and important aspects of our situation had not been clearly explained to us before the transfer, which had left us feeling confused and anxious.

From the moment Ano and Simon arrived, they made a huge difference. They were friendly, cheerful, positive and highly professional. Ano took the time to clearly explain some of the procedures and answer our questions, which helped us understand the situation better and relieved so much of the stress that had built up.

Their kindness, positive attitude and professionalism made a very difficult and frightening situation much easier for us. They made us feel safe and reassured throughout the journey and delivered us safely to the Neurosurgery Department at King’s College Hospital.

We would like to say a huge thank you to both Ano and Simon. They are a credit to the NHS, and we truly hope their excellent work and the difference they make to patients and their families are recognised.

The NHS needs more wonderful people like them.

Had the most smoothest ride home for my son in the Peter ambulance. Didn’t have to lift a thing, was a long journey to Great Yarmouth and nothing was too much for the driver. Give me water on arrival with the weather and was from start to finish just a positive experience. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for getting my baby home safe and sound after such a long time in gosh. Best wishes x

Mark and Georgina transferred my 90 yr old mum from her hospital stay to home with great care and consideration, cannot thank them enough even taking into consideration the potholes on the roads which made travelling on a stretcher very painful for her frail body . They settled her back home and made her comfortable in her own bed.

Caitlin and dawn were helpful and patient, the staff did their job very well, they carried me down the stairs which was difficult to take me to orpington hospital and home again. They were very cheerful and waited for me. Thank you
