I wanted a 3/4 left-hand guitar and ordered it online. I immediately received an email advising me that it would not be in stock before Christmas and was advised on alternatives, which was really helpful as I had never realised the different types available! The guitar arrived the next day, perfectly packaged.

My son requested a specific piece of equipment (I have no idea what it does) for his Christmas present. I tried buying it through the link to another company that he sent me, with no luck. Googled the item and found it was available through Merchant City Music .. so I tried placing an order. Success! It was confirmed straight away and I had an email shortly after to say it was ready to be shipped. The parcel arrived the NEXT day! Amazing. Just shows it CAN be done.

When I paid online there was £40 that had not been added to the total, someone gave me a call within half an hour to explain the error which I was happy to pay. They then explained how the guitar would be packaged and how I would be kept informed of when delivery would be. Very straightforward and pleasant to deal with and package came exactly when they said it would very well packaged and the quality of the guitar we bought we were very impressed with. Would highly recommend.

My son requested a particular pedal board as a Christmas gift, and having had trouble ordering it via the link he sent I found it on Merchant City Music's website - at a better price in fact. Order placed yesterday, confirmed immediately, and delivered in perfect condition this afternoon. Excellent service!

The communication was excellent and they made every effort to get the guitar to me quickly. When it arrived all I had to do was unpack it and play. The finish is superb, and the action just right, (it's 12 string, I could even use Barre chords which other forays into 12 string proved challenging,). I checked the intonation. Nothing to do there. I did find a couple of places where there was polish residue. Yes really. SO Merchant city is now my goto for new gear.

From when I first enquired about details of a guitar purchase through to delivery, I found them to be helpful and efficient. They fitted strings of my choice and set my new Jet JS-400 up properly before delivery. Arrived speedily, well packed and in perfect condition Also bought a Katana Go which again arrived in the same parcel. Prices were competitive. I would definitely buy from them again.

I'm truly blown away by the service I received from Merchant city music. I spoke to them in person (on the phone) and was assured that, if I placed my order before midday, I would receive it the next day! Having never had this kind of reassurance from any other retailer, I was a little dubious (promises like this have been made before by other people) but I decided to go for it.
I'm extremely happy to say that I was very much proved wrong in having any doubts. My order was indeed delivered the next day. Well packaged and in pristine condition.
I honestly can't say enough good things about Merchant city music. They do exactly what they say they'll do, and they are very friendly and provide amazing customer service... Something that is sadly lacking in today's online shopping experience.

& bought a left handed Reverend Sensei RA.
The guitar itself is not only the best fit & finish of any guitar I've ever played; to the point that I'll be selling off some of my Gibsons & Fenders to fund other Reverends.
The guitar arrived ready to rock out of the box with a flawless setup, & well packaged.

Made the initial enquiry regarding a Fender Vintera Roadworn 60’s Telecaster in Blonde, and Matty was happy to oblige with the requested photographs and other information requested to enable me to decide.
Once purchased the guitar was promptly packaged and dispatched as requested with all hang tags and case candy in the original shipping box etc.
The guitar arrived promptly with full tracking and the guitar was better than expected.
