When is a warranty not a warranty?
Our water cylinder was 3 years old when it failed. It had a 5 year warranty. After several months they finally collected the cylinder (I had to pay to have it disconnected) for it to be assessed by their technical department. I then spent several more months chasing them for the report which finally arrived claiming that there was not a manufacturing fault with the cylinder and that they did not know what had caused it to leak but that they were not prepared to replace it under the warranty. Nearly 1 year later we are still without hot water and I will be taking them to small claims court. Do not purchase anything that is manufactured by Gledhill. You have been warned.

Absolutely appalling company
Absolutely appalling company. Our boiler broke down three times in the middle of winter, leaving us without heating and hot water. Because of their failures, we were forced to pay a £900 bill last year, which is completely unacceptable. When you try to get in touch with this company, the experience is awful. You wait an extremely long time just to speak to someone, and even when you do, nothing gets resolved. They do not do what they are supposed to do. Our landlord has been incredibly helpful, paying £400 per month for a maintenance contract specifically so that any issues can be fixed immediately. Despite this, both us tenants and landlord are left struggling, while this company does nothing to help. Their process is endlessly long: you call, they send an engineer a week later if you’re lucky, who only comes to “check.” Then they order a part, and only after that do they send another engineer. A month goes by with no heating and no hot water. This has happened repeatedly. At this point, it genuinely feels easier to get through winter without heaters than deal with this company again. The service is inefficient, frustrating, and completely unreliable.
Do not use this company. We strongly advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

Excellent company
Excellent company, product and service. I had a Pulsacoil for the past 25 years and replaced it recently with a new model. I have always had the service contract with Gledhill and since a couple of years I also have the complete care package. Always been supported very well. trust and peace of mind. To me it’s very good value for money.

Spoke with Will in the office on Friday on the phone. Very helpful and lovely young man. left me feeling assured and confident my issue would be resolved. What I like most about Gledhill is how quickly my issues are resolved and how calm they are when I talk to them,

not recommended
I'm really dissapointed with the service.
The technician are always friendly BUT it always takes days to get an appointment and they are very unreliable at keeping appointments!
now a month without proper hot water despite several parts exchanged. last visit left me without hot water at all!
update: received a call from customer service on Sunday, apologizesed repeatedly and promised to be the first client on Monday.
As of now, one and a half hours have elapsed, and no one has shown up!

An update on my earlier review
An update on my earlier review. I have now received a phone call to try to arrange an appointment. I explained the situation and the lady apologised profusely and said that it would have been possible to expedite an earlier appointment. As we are now going on holiday this won't be possible but, at least she contacted me and was apologetic.

Boiler
I had a boiler fitted by Gledhill almost 10 years ago. They have serviced it annually and on the one occasion I’ve had to call them was recently to replace a thermostat. I called them and they made an appointment for an engineer to attend the following day,
A very pleasant chap arrived and had the job done in half an hour. I would highly recommend this company.

Service Agent Paul Was a Star - one of our clients had delviery queries and Paul went above and beyond to update us at every step, i even recieved the latest tracking information from him well out of conventional business hours, definitely felt above and beyond what i'd have expected chasing a delivery. What a joke
What a joke, I was let down with delivery, the First Lady couldn’t use post code & wanted 9 digit number to find order.
The second call lady said nine digit number not helping & wanted 6 digit number!
Final straw was on the 3 call the lady wanted post code!
What a total joke.

Annual Health Check by Gledhill Response
Gledhill offices had notified me when the annual boiler health check would be carried out.
The engineer, MS(initials) arrived well within the time indicated.
At the end of the check the engineer carefully explained the results of the check, all was well. I was pleased with his approach and how he explained th findings.
