I have never sent anything overseas before but I found Gift Basket Overseas (GBO)and they were the most customer service friendly company I`ve ever done business with.
I picked out one of their baskets and sent it from the U.S. to Colombia South America.
The basket arrived on time but wasn`t exactly how it showed in the catalog. When I pointed this out to GBO they appointed Alex Praet as my personal customer care specialist.
Alex immediately said they want to make it right and allowed me to pick out another basket at no charge, I was shocked this was above and beyond what I expected. They had a new basket delivered within days.
Then I wanted to send a spa package to that same person in Colombia so I reached out to Alex to help me find a spa close by. Alex took it upon himself to find a local spa and negotiate a good price, and the best part was GBO does not even offer that product but Alex helped me secure it anyway.
I have never written a review on anything before but I felt compelled to do so because of the extraordinary customer service I received from Alex and Gift Baskets Overseas. And the person I was sending these gifts to was overwhelmed with joy, it was an amazing experience. Do not hesitate to use this company for any of their products, they are amazing.

I’ll give five stars due to the huge logistical effort involved in shipping around 700 Christmas gifts worldwide. Most importantly, a special mention to specialist Mariana Pereira and her team — a huge shout-out to them for always being available to answer my questions and concerns, handle last-minute changes, and provide constant support. They truly deserve full credit and the highest rating.

However, due to the nature of global shipping, the receiving experience for some of us was not as pleasant, festive, or “Christmassy” as expected (for example, like receiving a flower bouquet). Since local courier partners were used, presentation was not a priority for them. As a result, the gifts arrived in plain cardboard boxes covered with multiple stamps, labels, and tape, and filled with bubble wrap or newspaper for protection (which we do appreciate). It was only after opening all this packaging that you could see the thoughtful and nice gift inside.

Aside from the shipping experience, which is partially their responsibility, as they are a gift basket company and not a “gift-in-a-cardboard-box” service, the team is excellent and always willing to receive feedback, comments, and requests.

The GBO can indicate problems with your order quickly (insufficient stock…) and promptly implement the adjustments in the invoice. And they achieve that under tight intervals of the festive season. GBO indicates the delivery date and the recipient’s name to easily track your presents.

Conversing with the customer service Representatives on the telephone was professional and courteous. They contacted the recipient 24 hours in advance. Prompt delivery on the day it was scheduled. Cordial delivery driver person who helped give instructions on how to preserve the bouquet. The Christmas bouquet is just as pictured on the website. Truly Beautuful! This was delivered to Zaparyzhia, Ukraine. Despite the unspeakable adversity the Ukrainian people are going through, this is more than outstanding service! However, they always provide a solution when there are mistakes, which are usually due to third parties and not Gift Baskets Overseas itself. And they offered a nice solution when the issue arose.
