George plumbing in Hammersmith should be avoided. They came to fit a new bath shower mixer, £190 plus call-out. The waste also needed replacement so they charged another £190 because it was apparently another job. The engineer was already in my house. It took 20 minutes. Horrible company.

This company should not be used. They are cowboys. Was charged for a leak that I had by the washing machine and was charged £180. Had to call out another plumber to fix the leak that the first plumber said he had fixed. I have asked for an invoice and a receipt which up until now has not materialised. Some of their call centre operators have been rude and I have even been cut off. Please do not use this company they are cowboys.

Scammers!!! Scammed us out of £800.Took down the kitchen ceiling didn't fix leak and charged us £800.Dont know why I paid but when they don't take no as answer you just pay as you don't know what they may do.Tried to ring they gave us we'll call back and they don't or puts phone down on us

Dont use these at any cost. They are just a middle man that passes the work onto local trade but charges emergency call out rates

The worst company. They sent out a rude and ineffective plumber. He told me that we needed to use high-pressure to blow out the drain and so I asked him if he had the machine and he yelled at me and said why would I have that machine? Then we went downstairs and I showed her where the manhole cover was, but he didn’t pick it up and then I showed him some leaks and an outdoor pipe and I said do you think it could be related and he yelled at me and said how would I know if this is related? I don’t live here. I didn’t do the plumbing how would I know? They didn’t solve anything and charge me 360 pounds. I’ve called three times because they told me they were going to get somebody to come out with a high-pressure to clean it. I’ve called three times and nobody will return my calls. They keep saying the managers gonna call me. I set up until midnight last night and the manager never called and I’ve been calling this morning and nobody returns my calls.

SCAMMERS. I have never written a review but this company is unbelievable. They told me £90 call out fee and when the guy got here I was told £250 hour. He fixed a leak (after going to screw fix to get a part) and the find bill was £464. Five weeks later it is leaking again and I have been trying to contact them for three days and it just goes to answer phone. I also did not receive any paperwork for the insurance as promised. Absolutely rubbish.

Whilst they were quick to respond and sorted out my blocked pipes quickly, they weren’t upfront about charges. £49 for call out, and would advise of costs on arrival. £250 per hour!!!!!! Left me little choice but to continue. So cost £299 to unblock a sink…..

They don’t make you aware that their charge is hourly. They add 1.5x VAT on top which they don’t inform you about either. They don’t send the Plummer out to the shop before your job so you pay for their travel time!!
£180 tap turned into £566!!!!!!

3 June I had a plumber come out to fix a leak. Charged me £140 and I still have a leak but am unable to contact them. The numbers are not connectable apparantly. I cannot give a NIL as it had to be completed with something. So 1 Star and really it shouldnt be any. DONT USE.

Very very expensive for minimal work. They don't disclose all the charges and end up charging more. Called them for water leak via ceiling. They didn't tell us charge for emergency labour, avoided the question by saying they will see and tell. All they did was put silicon Gel around the half of the tile. Charged for £45 for call, £195 for emergency labour and £55 for material. Silicon gel cost £20 on amazon for full bottle, didn't even need full for us but still charged £55 for material. Total cost £358 for putting silicon gel. All I can say is charging more innocent people without telling labour /emergency labour charge prior cause these are fix fee and should tell us before even coming to the problem.

Got an old single brick bit they fitted me radiator and hot tap in utility room, number of others said it couldn't be done. They attended twice when had pipe leak from toilet system and leaking boiler. Recommended by parents. Thanks for that and few others jobs they have done

Scammers, please do not use. They also operate under EMR Plumbing, Peter Plumber 24/7, Bryan Marr Plumbing... they have about fifty different trading names. I have reported them to trading standards. How are they allowed to do this?

Was quoted just a call out charge of £49. Guy was in my area and would be 30/45 minutes and would phone me when he was on way. He came and looked at the problem, which was a leak from the water tank. After looking at the pipes underneath the tank, he looked inside the tank. Turned a couple of taps and declared there’s the leak. Quoted £300 to fix it. I said I would just pay the £49 and he told me it would be an extra £89 for the investigation work he had done!!! I then spoke to the ‘boss’ who told me the call out charge of £49 was the booking fee and that any investigation and labour/work would be extra. £138 for someone to be 10 minutes inside my house with a torch!! An absolute disgrace!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

If i can only leave 0 for their review i would. One of their plumber came to my house and inspect where the water pipe can go as i am quering if they can install tap water in my back garden. The plumber said its very difficult and the pipe will be visible. So i decided not for the plumber to push through. I ask him how much would i pay and he said £98. £45 for on call and £45 for inverstigation. I was so shock to think he just stayed in my house for almost 20min only and nothing has been done and i have to pay him £98. So be careful as they are not telling you how much they gonna charge you when u call them on the phone they just gonna say the plumber will let u know once they arrive on your house.

Please don't use George Plumbing. This guy is not reputable. I called him because I had a leak under my sink. He arrived and diagnosed the problem as an o-ring having worn out and needing replacing in my tap. He was there a very brief amount of time but charged £90 which was the pre-agreed fee for call-out plus an hour's work. He said he didn't have an o-ring (a pretty standard piece of kit) and would come back in the new year with one. For the £90 I paid, which covered an hour's work he could easily have gone up the high street nearby in the time and bought one from the plumbing supply shops but he seemed in a rush to go and I presumed he would honour his word and be back to replace it. Over five weeks later, he still has not come back and was not responding to messages until I said I would dispute the earlier transaction. He then said he would charge me another £90 to come back with the o-ring and therefore I might as well find another plumber and when I queried this told me "I didn't know how plumbing works." I have therefore had an ongoing leak causing damage to my cupboards for five weeks and am no further forward, having to hire someone else to do the job he didn't complete.

I called George Plumbing to fix a blocked toilet. He came and tried to fix the problem but he was not able because he reconed it was a collapsed drain. My tenant said he was there for half an hour, but charged for 1.5 hours. Including travel time it should not be more than an hour max for nothing. In a text message he told me "All done" but it was not my tenant told me a bit later and in his invoice he stated a possible broken floatline. The invoice I paid straight away. So a second visit was arranged for which he quoted £475. He lifted up about 10 cobbled stones and said he replaced a piece of pipe and said he fixed the problem. My tenant told me again about an hour after he left that the problem still existed. So I told the plumber that I hold back the payment because I want a second optinion about the repair if it was done properly.

I immediately received a reduced invoice to £300 (with no explanation) and after just 5 days of the reduced invoice I get a message from him threatening with bailiffs.
He also called my tenant a liar, which is very unprofessional.

I asked British Gas to have a look and they fixed it with just removing a blockage of toilet paper, done in an hour.

I received a bailiff letter so I paid £150 to try to arrange an agreement with George the plumber but he did not accept it and accused me of slavery because I do not want to pay.

So if you ask George Plumbing for help, be aware that you maybe pay an excesive price for not fixed problems and with no garantie and you do not get the time to verify by the unqualified work by an indipendent plumber and that the bailiffs are being instructed by George Plumbing immediately.

So be warned!
